I have visited some people in Fox Run, but it was too expensive for me. It was outstanding. I was visiting a friend at the time. I had two friends and one passed away. Their units were larger. But the only problem is in that place, you have to put down anywhere from two to three hundred thousand or more. You're like buying the units, and each month there's also a fee. I just can't afford that. I went to dinner twice with one friend in the dining room. They have a couple of dining rooms. It was one of those dining rooms and the food is very, very good. You get one meal a day. So I think a lot of people use that one meal a day at night for dinner in the dining room, but they can also go to something called a pub in one of the clubhouses. One of the buildings is a pub, that's where you order off the menu, and anyone can go there as long as you know a resident, you can go there too. During the day for lunch, they have a cafeteria in there, and that was good. I got a hamburger and the hamburger was very good. Before COVID, they had a weekly movie. They have a little theater that people go to. And I don't know if it's the only one on the grounds, but my friend visited another building to get to this theater, she went to another building. So it was very nice.

I was invited to a luncheon at Fox Run and there was a presentation in their auditorium. We toured the one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. They were clean, bright, and looked like they had been newly refurbished. You could choose your color and decoration. They had residents who came and sat at our table and talked to us. So, we got a first-hand view of what it was like to live there from someone who WAS living there. The luncheon and the presentation lasted from 11:30 until about 2:30 and it was well done. The food was wonderful. It was excellent. The people who talked to us and we met were charming. The lecture was short and sweet and to the point. The dining room was very pleasant, warm, and inviting. There's also a grocery store and a garden. The part I liked a lot was that it was a very busy place. We weren't just sitting around waiting for something to happen. It was busy all the time and the atmosphere was very friendly. The hallways were clean, bright, and nice as well as the elevators and ground floor.

The tour experience at Fox Run was wonderful. The people are very friendly, both the residents and the host. The facility is nice. The apartments are nicely laid out. It was a nice opportunity. The rooms were excellent. They were bright, cheerful, and had high-end items like flooring and appliances. The staff was very nice. The food was really good, very well presented, and very nice. They didn't have tablecloths which I was a little surprised at. They had more tables for four and a couple few tables for two. It was well maintained. The people that served us did a good job. The swimming pool was nice. There was a TV studio that looked interesting.

Fox Run is beautiful. The appearance is good, the grass is kept up, and it doesn't smell like urine all over the place. It's nice and well-kept. They take people out for lunch, then they go shopping or to the casino. They eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the dining room. They also play cards and bingo. It's nice. I think they also have a swimming pool. The food is good, I've eaten there before. The dining room, food, tables, and the way you sit to eat are really nice. The person who gave the tour was very friendly.

Please: read these reviews carefully. There are over 1000 residents in independent living. My parents lived there happily and successfully for 13 years. Assisted living helps only 44 residents. They pay on a rated scale of A-E based on needs. Biggest problems: 1. Inconsistency of medicine distribution. Very poor- often forgot to give meds (up to 3 times per week) This can be life threatening. 2. Medication distribution often given in the dining room-this is a Hippa violation 3. Scheduled bathing, laundry services, help with meal distribution often forgotten/overlooked. 4. Changeover of staff problematic. Management blames this on above issues. 5. Grossly understaffed. 1 RN for 44 residents. 2 CNA’s for 44 residents. What works well: 1. Food is varied and they are responsive to employee requests. 2. Many daily activities available. Staff encourages family to help in assisting making choices. Music, arts, movies, travel, wine tasting, book club, more. 3. Clean and beautiful grounds. Note: Rose Court has 3 floors. Floor 1 is assisted living. Floor 2 is 24 hour nursing care. Floor 3 is memory care (Alzheimer’s) Rose Court has a PT gym, 3 dining rooms, community room, beauty parlor, small conference rooms, large resident rooms in assisted living but smaller rooms on nursing care. Friendly staff. Professional staff not nearly as responsive as we need. Independent living should NOT be rated on this site.

My mom is moving into Fox Run. It is new, clean, and very large. It has many services because of its size. She seems to be likely to be happy there mainly because she has 20 or so friends who are already living there; that was clearly the deciding factor for her. I saw a model room, which is apparently identical to her room. It is nicely equipped and has modern appliances. It is 700-square feet 1-bedroom apartment. It is very well designed. The layout is efficient in terms of its use of space. It has a mini washer and dryer, closets and walk-in showers, which my mom needs. They have everything under the sun, but I didn't actually witness any of the activities. I saw their daily calendar and the daily calendar includes about 20 things happening each day. It seems very fully equipped.

PT and OT good. Overall facility is not what it used to be. If family member has no therapy on a given they may not get helping dressing until afternoon. Many missed meals because staff "NA". Many missed medications. Mgt may call you on a complaint but then they don't follow thru. If no therapy on a given day resident spends good part of the day in their room. Food mediocre.

My mom has lived here for 2 years. There are always issues. Our latest issues are with medication errors. So far there have been 7 medication errors this year. We always get the same song and dance and nothing changes. Be wary of sending a loved one here.

Fox Run's rooms were excellent. They have over a hundred different activities, a large swimming pool, and an exercise center. They have independent living, assisted living, and a care center. It's a very large place, and they're still building. The staff is very friendly and excellent, and they give very good service. They had several different dining areas, and they had some fantastic food offerings. They had a menu at night, and they cooked their food to order. There was everything from filet mignon to scallops. They probably had 35 or 40 different choices for different choices for different things for dinner at night, and the food choices were just super. They hire really good cooks so I was amazed with the menus, and it's really good. The activities they offer are good. It's just a really great place.

We chose Fox Run because of the size and amenities of the apartments and club houses. The staff and the cleanliness were outstanding and top notch. I was not able to eat, but the setup was nice.

Fox Run is a very big place, and there’s way too much walking for my parents. The staff was great, the rooms were nice, and the food was very good. There were a lot of activities, and things going on. The place was clean, they seem to know their jobs, and were very friendly and informative. I think it’s probably one of the best places in Michigan.

The people at Fox Run were nice but leaned more toward the wealthier side of retirement. They had a lot to offer. Everything was excellent. The staff was very nice, polite, and attentive. They were the Ford Lincoln or Cadillac of retirement centers. They did a nice job and were very active. I would suggest they bring down their cost.

We went for a visit at Fox Run. It was very nice, but it was not my personal taste because it was like a college campus. That type of living is not my style.

My parents lived in Fox Run for 11 years in independent living. Great for healthy, active seniors. They both have had stays in short term rehab after illnesses and injuries. We found the Rose Court lacking in many areas-- no rooms for couples for one! They finally opened a memory unit--but it is on the SAME floor as the skilled nursing patients. My dad is on this floor and there is a HUGE difference between the level of care needed for these two groups of people. Yet they share the same foor, common areas and dining room. Mom went to short term rehab after a fall, and after 2 weeks of rehab they have discontinued her rehab and are telling us she needs to go to skilled nursing instead of assisted living! She was living independently up until a few weeks ago. I guess if you have their insurance you only have 2 weeks to get better! Now they want $385/day!!! Food is average on a good day. Fox Run restaurants are much better. Good variety of activities. We also have found there is lack of communication and lack of empathy from staff. Now mom and dads money is all tied up there and Rose Court will drain their accounts.

It's 2 miles from my house, and it's one of the ones where you have a big upfront fee, but they take care of you the rest of your life. The community that they created was a huge relief. My mother-in-law had become very isolated in her house, and this place has something of everything. They have everything she needed, and someone's going to keep an eye on her. She will have a one-bedroom apartment. They have a café for breakfast and lunches where you can get a pizza or a sandwich, and then they have a beautiful dining room as well. I did not eat there, but from talking with everyone, the food was just phenomenal. She has Parkinson's, and they have support groups to help her adapt with the complications that go with it. They have a pool, which she is excited about because she has arthritis in her hip. They have a Bridge club, book club, and volunteer groups. I call it a dorm for seniors. The people are very happy and seem very active. We did not have any bad experience with Fox Run.

I thought Fox Run was also lovely, and it was more reasonably priced. The staff was very nice. The dining area was very nice, clean, and very impressive. It wasn't quite as fancy as the other place, but then it wasn't as expensive either. Their sanitation was excellent. If I were to move into assisted living, I would probably move into Fox Run.

It's an excellent place. It's really good, no doubt. Fox Run Novi seems to be the best for me. The staff is caring, warm, and very friendly, and the place is nice and clean. It has all the amenities of an assisted living, and people are nice. They have a pool, a cafeteria, there's an exercise room, like a gym, and a gift shop. If you go there, you don't have to go anywhere else. Everything is there. You can do more of an inside walk because there are a lot of corridors. It's a very big facility.

Fox Run was one of the best and the most expensive facilities I've looked into. Everything is very nice, well-organized, and well-planned. They also have lot of activities for the residents.

Fox Run is a really good community. It is also highly respected in our area. The rooms are beautiful and well-appointed. The staff is excellent, helpful, and they'll do anything for you. We had lunch there several times and the food is always excellent. They have every type of activity you could think of as well as dozens of clubs. It's a well-organized place.

Don't be fooled by the appearance of this facility. My mother lived at Fox Run for 5 years, 2 years in the Assisted Living facility. It is fine for residents who are ambulatory and can do most things for themselves. Once they get very sick and need much assistance, you will find that this facility is understaffed, and that the staff does not follow it's own procedures, and the residents are often left to fend for themselves. My mom passed away recently while there after being in hospice......two weeks before she passed away I was researching other hospice options because Fox Run's care was sub par. If only they would take care of their residents as well as they do their landscaping they would be all set. Maybe they should spend less on their landscaping at reallocate the budget to hire more nurses and aides.

Simply upon driving up to the facility it was evident that it was a very nice place to live. The landscaping was very well maintained, the building looked nice, it overall simply looked like a great place to live. Upon entering the facility I was greeted by a warm, welcoming lobby area with friendly staff. When I went to visit my Great Grandma she seemed very happy and is doing as great as ever, no doubt thanks to Fox Run. She is not a very active person but according to her there are lots of activities for the people who live there to take part in like swimming in a swimming pool, walking or running on treadmills in the workout room, she even talked about how she watched some of her friends play pool/ Overall she seems to be very happy their, and I feel safe and secure knowing that my family made the decision to put her within such a friendly, accepting, wonderful community.

It was my father who has been to Fox Run for about a week but he ended up passing away. It was a facility that actually he had looked prior to getting sick. The whole care is okay, and he was treated very well. He was very sick. The only problem was his heart stopped and they did a resuscitation. We had a do not resuscitate order but they went ahead and send him out to the regular hospital. Well I just think that there was a miscommunication since we had a do not resuscitate order. But the over all care before that was fine.

The Fox Run assisted living facility looked really well-kept from the outside as we drove up. I was helping a friend find a suitable place to live for his mother. The main foyer had a lovely receiving area, and at first glance, it was hard to imagine that this was an assisted living facility. It seemed more like a five star hotel. The living suites were offered in a variety of really nice options. They were also beautifully decorated. We could see that my friend's mother would be comfortable in any one of them. Each unit had individually controlled temperatures. The kitchens all had ample counter space and nice appliances. There is a lot of convenience here as well, from the salon, fully-equipped exercise spa and whirlpool, to the library and coffee bar, TV studio, music room, well-stocked library and computer room. We especially liked the uniqueness of the billiards room, creative arts studio and woodworking room. The dining areas have many options. From more intimate to communal dining, resident can choose whatever they like "“ in addition to hosting guests in their own spaces. The menu choices looked nutritious and delicious, as well as the regular snacks "“ offered continually. The food looked and smelled like what you would find in upscale restaurants. The activity calendar features many healthy and stimulating activities. We liked that the staff encourages participation and tries to make everything interesting for its residents. They have outings to local libraries, events, culture, restaurants, shopping and athletic activities. They take suggestions to update the schedule as much as possible. We've visited quite a few assisted living facilities and thus far, the staff at this one were some of the most friendly we've met yet. This facility was really more like a fully-equipped village, with a market and a bank - and amenities like a five star hotel and any senior could easily be very happy here.

This is a skilled nursing facility that's part of a continuing care retirement community (CCRC). I've had clients there and know it well. The skilled nursing unit is part of a big campus of independent living and care facilities--about 30 or 35 miles northwest of Detroit city center. The facility itself is nice, fairly new, with wide hallways and lots of windows. It has a bright, open, airy feeling. The rooms are a good size, and there are usually two to a room. The staff is accommodating, welcoming, and well trained. About the only real downside is the food. It's institutional: bland fare--cottage cheese, jello, that kind of thing. But overall, this facility is one of the the top choices for skilled nursing in the area. And because it's part of a CCRC, it's convenient for residents who suddenly find themselves in need of skilled nursing care.

This facility is very clean, updated and the grounds are beautiful. However, after 6 pm at night there is only ONE nurse on the entire floor. I wanted to speak to a nurse and had to ask 3 times. When I did finally speak with her, she was going to check the chart and never got back with me. I was there 3 1/2 hrs and no one came in to check on my family member. With what the family members and insurance companies are paying for this facility, I think they could afford to hire more nurses on off shifts.
