"Vibrant Life Superior Township was quite nice. The people that I met there and the people that I talked to were very kind and very helpful. I visited the memory care and it was clean and pleasant. It looked like the residents were well taken care of. It has a nice outdoor courtyard. The gentleman that is in charge was very kind and very nice. It was not the most updated/modern facility, but it was nice."

"The rooms here did have a patio that led outside to a courtyard so my parents could let the dog out and that was important to us. The facility was beautiful. The staff really seemed to know the residents well, like the person who toured us knew the people in the building and they knew her. The residents were coming up and talking to me and telling me about living there. It seemed very homey. They had a salon and a library."

"I went to Serenity Manor. It's a home with a max of six residents. They have two owners, and one of them lives there. She lives in the upstairs apartment. There is always two to three staff, so you have a great ratio of staff to residents. Currently, none of the residents are ambulatory. Most of them are advanced dementia patients and need to be lifted with a Hoyer. Right now, it's not ideal for them, but that's what they're getting. Right now, advanced memory care is what they're getting now. I couldn't even talk to the patients because they were so demented. It's a higher level of care and a lot of one-on-one. I think one of the rooms is shared. It's extremely clean. When you walk in, you were in the kitchen common area. Off to the right are the dining room and the living room, and then behind the kitchen is an L-shaped hallway with bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, too. It's very clean and very nice. If I had somebody who needed 24-hour care like that, that'd be great. I was impressed with the staff, too. "

"I visited this facility last week and I was very pleased with cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. I am most definitely considering Assurance assisted living to help with my mom. I feel like she would be in great hands here. The one young lady Kiara was very sweet and answered all of my questions. She even was even open to some suggestions I made and said that she would consider accommodating them.Over all it was a pleasant visit and they are in my top 3."

"I toured Bickford of Canton. It was very well laid out and well-staffed. As far as what they had set up for memory care, it's set up with a lot of safety in mind. They have a good staff ratio. The price was very high, though. The room that we saw was occupied and had the resident's furniture, furnishings, an abandoned dresser, and nightstand. There was more than adequate room in the room that was available, that was empty. That would accommodate my sister's furniture, the same furnishings, and then included in that room was also a private bathroom that she would have total use of. That was set up with a handicapped accessible shower, sink, and toilet. Everything was set up there for her use. It was the first place that we went to, and it was a very impressive meeting. The staff was very detailed in giving us the staff ratio, the activities, and everything. It was very nice. It just was very expensive; it wasn't something that we could afford. What was most impressive there was, the layout and the security were very well thought out. There wasn't any issue with her injuring herself or anything. She needed rehabilitation, and they had physical therapy on-site. The facility had only been opened just barely a year."

"My mother is at Crystal Creek Assisted Living. The staff is good. They have very good people. They have their staple people that are there that we really like. They have private and semi-private rooms, and my mother is in a semi-private, but it is a big room. The facility is all one level, and there are four buildings. Each two buildings are attached with a kitchen in the middle, and the common rooms are upfront. The meals looked good. The dining room is clean and well organized. As for activities, on certain days, they polish the ladies' fingernails, and they'll do holiday activities with them. With regards to security and safety, it is very secure. The doors are all alarmed. They cannot get out. The alarms go off if anybody touches the door. "

"Glen Abbey has been the most inviting senior community I have been to. The staff and directors are always pleasant. The residents seem happy and cozy. The staff are knowledgable and attentive. Being at Glen Abbey feels like home."

"The rooms are very nice and roomy for single living seniors and if there are two seniors they have rooms that are excellent for couples. The food is very good and is prepared fresh for every meal. The wait staff are friendly and will do anything for you when asked. The Story point staff are awesome. I have interacted with all of the staff that has taken care of my mother and they have been great to work with and took care of anything that I ask of them. Id recommend Story Point Northville to anyone in need of assisted living or memory care."

"We chose American House Westland Joy for my parents. It's independent living, but we can purchase additional care for them as needed. It's kind of a la carte. Based on what I've seen so far, I would probably give them five stars just for their customer service, their kindness, their flexibility, and their willingness to work with us on move-in dates and the particulars of our needs. One of the things that I liked about American House was the size of the rooms. I had looked at some other assisted living rooms and the rooms were much smaller and didn't have a full kitchen, which my parents can still use. I liked that there's a kitchen, there's a place where they can have a table, a stove, and a refrigerator. The apartments are updated with nice flooring and a little bit more updated cabinets. The apartments themselves were nice. They had lunch for us and my parents loved it. They thought it was delicious. I had some soup myself and I thought it was delicious as well. They gave me an activity calendar. They have a lot of activities at the facility. One night when I had stopped in to visit, they were having a holiday party and they had it very nicely set up with music. There were lots of families there with the residents. That was nice to see as well. The prices are what made me choose them overall."

"A&R Premiere Care just had new add-ons to their facilities. What I liked the most about it was the lady that runs it is a nurse and then her husband is also a healthcare person. I think he's a physical therapist or something. They were both very nice and very helpful."

"The Westland House was very well maintained. The residents were talking with each other, and they're totally friendly like they were very much at home. I thought that that would be a place my husband would fit in very well, but I did not want him in a studio apartment environment. I wanted him more into a nursing home type environment. That's the only reason I didn't go with them. Wanda was very, very accommodating. It was very clean. The dining area was situated like a cafeteria. It was very friendly and very clean. I think it would have been an enjoyable experience to have breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks there. There's art throughout the facility, and the rooms were neatly decorated. They said you would have to bring your own furniture. The showroom was very attractively furnished."
