"When my mom moved downstairs into the assisted living in Rosecrest Retirement Community, they were all still the same way. Everyone was very nice, had a very low turnover, and had a clean facility. They have a lot of activities. I always pop in. They never know when I'm coming or going over there. So, it's not like they know I will come, and then they act nice. It's not that way. There are some difficult residents, but they handle everyone with respect. It's just a great place. I'm very pleased with it. We've been very fortunate that she was able to go there. It's expensive, but they all are, so I wouldn't say it is overly expensive because it's not a Medicare bed. The other thing they do quite well is that my mother has fallen there because she's sick-headed and thinks she can get up on her own, but they quickly notify you. They let you know what's going on. They'll tell you if she's to be seen by a physician. They're great about that, too. They've got those little chains around their neck that, if they fall, they're supposed to buzz them when they get up. But my mother still doesn't think she has to do that, so she has fallen, but not because of them, because of herself. We were very fortunate that they had a bed available, and she's done well there. The food is very good. They maintain the outside and keep the entranceway clean. When it's not 105 degrees, I'll push her around the complex in her wheelchair, and the complex area is clean. They do a great job with that as well. They have an activity director, Rhodesia. She's fabulous. They do arts and crafts. They'd do something every day if they wanted to do it. They had music there. They'd do bingo twice a week. They'll do parades. We did a parade memorial, and everybody was decorated in red, white, and blue. At Christmas, they went out in one of the buses to look at the decorations around the town. Rhodesia keeps them busy, even if someone like my mother didn't want to go for about two weeks or come out of a room, they went in there and encouraged her to come out. She did great. They try very hard to engage everyone."

"My mom was in another assisted living facility previously and it was a nightmare. I was so worried when I had to find another one and in a short amount of time. When I contacted Spring Oak, everyone I interacted with was so nice and professional. Every time I visit, I encounter so many wonderful staff members that are willing to go above and beyond to make sure her needs are met. I am so thankful for the entire staff for helping her feel welcome. If you are looking for a more personable experience, I would definitely recommend this facility."

"My mom has moved into the facility. It's very good. The staff was really good and helpful. They furnished her a bed and dresser that somebody had donated there. So, all we had to do was take our clothes and our personal stuff. It's nice. She was in memory care for the first two weeks and she's doing so good, so they put her into the assisted living part. For activities, she colors a lot, and she likes the Bible study. She loves the food. They were on quarantine for a while, but now they are off it. They've had to quarantine for about two weeks because Covid was going around. It was the employees, not the patients. So, they just kept them all in their rooms to stay and eat."

"Very caring staff. So thankful for the extra precautions that were taken in reference to COVID. Although it was extremely challenging for the residents & their families, the ET staff was amazing and handled it well. The exercises classes and weekly Bingo provide socialization for the residents. "

"My mom was a resident of Lakewood. We like the people who took care of my mother. They were good people but the things I didn't like at all were the administrative heads. The only activity I saw during her five-month stay there was bingo and that was not something for my mother because she was very distracted. That wasn't an activity that suited her needs. I tried their food. It was adequate and some days were better than others. The facility upkeep is average. I didn't see anything that brought concern but it could have been cleaner. It's in desperate need of carpet replacement. The room is adequate for her needs. It has a bulk shower which was designed for senior living. If I could change anything, it would be the administrative change."

"I toured Woodland Place Senior Living. They had like 33 people, so that appealed to me that maybe my sister would get more one-on-one care because there were not as many residents. The rooms appeared to be large enough. The room appeared to be clean. I was just pleased to see that they were out and about interacting with each other. The staff appeared very friendly. However, I still have questions for them. I want to make sure that my sister is going to get one-on-one attention. They didn't have that many amenities, but they wanted their residents to come in and eat in the dining room, and I liked that. I wanted to see my sister do that, to get up and move her body around, so I liked that."

"I went to Peak Resources, I was very surprised, they really get a lot of attention, and I liked that community. They do therapy for people and everything about that part is great, but when you go to the dementia or memory care unit, these people are pitiful, and they dont know anything. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very neat and clean, they werent cramped, so you could say they were spacious. Its a beautiful place."

"My parents moved in to Ashlan Village Lyman. It's very pretty, nice and clean. It's a newer community that's well-taken care of. The staff is very nice and very kind. The dining area is very good. Once a week they take the residents on what they call a Mystery Ride for ice cream and things like that. They have pretty much the same activities as other places like bingo. We really like this community. They have very good communication. The staff is very friendly and very patient."
