"My sister moved into Cadence Huntersville. It was close to the family members, so it was in a convenient location. The facility is nice and clean. We like their programs and their pricing. They did not charge for different levels of care. Their fee was for all levels of care, so everything comes under their main fee. They bring in people for music. They take the residents to a store, restaurant, or bowling alley. They have field trips. Their staff was very friendly and confident. The dining room is clean. They have good three-square meals and snacks. They take care of the laundry. Some residents could use their own furniture. My sister is in a room that's been remodeled."

"TerraBella Newton was beautiful. The landscaping and the building itself all were very, very pretty and we liked it until we went into the residents' room. We felt the room was just really not anything like the room at the other place. The staff was very helpful, very down to earth, friendly, and answered all of our questions."

"Our mother contracted Covid and her dementia became amplified and my sister and I were no longer able to give her the care she needed at home without someone being with her 24 hours a day. With so many hard decisions to make and not wanting to transition her from rehab facility to a full time care facility after being discharged from hospital I visited Graceview Homes. Upon arrival I was greeted by Hannah whom our Mom refers to as her Angel now! Graceview Homes was the light at the end of a very dark tunnel that we were stuck in while trying so hard to honor our mothers wishes to never be placed in a nursing home. The house is beautiful and so inviting. Mom has her own room and we can never express how thankful we are for the love and care they are giving her.If you have a loved one needing the same care please contact them. "

"My mom went to Abernethy Laurels for rehab for four weeks. It was very nice. Everything about it was great except for the food. My mom did not like the food. The staff members were wonderful. The dining area was nice. They had a full range of activities. They had chapel, too. The room was good. Medicare paid it."

"We choose Hickory Village Memory Care-A DePaul Senior Living Community for our mother because it is the only place that accepts her, but it is a really nice place and we are really happy with the place. The staff is really nice. Everything is all professionally done. The place is really clean and nice. It has no smell. We feel we are lucky to find the place. "

"It was nice and clean. Everything was centrally located and they were doing a lot with the residents. At the time of my visit, they were having a little concert. So, they had plenty of activities for them to do and it was like a big group of people living together. The dining area was also big and clean. Then the living quarters were a good size and they all looked like there was enough room for somebody to live there comfortably. The employees we talked to were all nice."

"this nursing home was very clean. The nurses were very rude, when i tried to see my grandmother they prevented me from doing so. The food i saw them feeding the residents looked gross. The overall outside of the nursing home looked quite nice and neat. I personally would recomend putting your loved ones in this nursing home, because the serivce and care of the residents are up to standard. The only problem i had was when they didnt allow me to see my grandmother, but it was understandable, and hasnt happened again. The do keep my grandmother clean, especially since she wears adult diapers. The make sure she is changed quite frequently, and dont allow her to get rashes. The feed the patients snacks and main course meals. Another complaint i do have is that they allowed another resident to hit my grandmother, i think this issue should be resolved by removing the resident but they wouldnt do that. My overall experience is pretty good, the good out weighs the bad. "

"My father has been staying at Heritage Place Memory Care. The best part about it is the staff. The actual people who are hands-on in caring for my dad have been perfect and kind. The worst part has been the administrative issue. I've been told that they've been under new ownership for the last year, and they have lost four administrative people in the last two months since my dad's been here. So I have no one to contact at the facility right now. I like the staff members' attentiveness as well as their caring and longevity. They seem to stay and love their jobs. My dad needs his food chopped up better than what they've been giving him. He has no teeth, and he doesn't have a lot of dexterity right now either, so he has been having a hard time. There are not many amenities. They're in a dated building. They have a dining area. It is in a very rural area, but the driving distance is not far. It's maybe a 10- or 15-minute drive to an area with restaurants and stores."

"I visited my friend's parents at Taylorsville House. It is clean and the food looks really good. The workers that I met, and staff are nice and have a good attitude. They take good care of the residents, and the residents look clean, and they seem to be happy. The rooms are a nice size, and they are clean. The dining area is clean. They have a cook there that prepares meals and stuff. I know that they have a courtyard in the back where they can go out and they can sit outside. They can play games or watch television. They have music and then they have an activities person that does activities with some of the residents."

"Because of the pandemic, you can't go into Peak Resources Cherryville, but you're allowed on the outside. I've had one conference with the staff. They provide occupational therapy and physical therapy. It's a beautiful facility on the outside, and well laid out. The location is kind of out of the highway, and it's in a maybe rural area. The surroundings look great, it has a lot of land, and lots of spaces. Close by there's a couple of stores, but it's in a secluded area mostly. I've had relatives there before and it's a great facility. I visited before the pandemic and it was a great place. My aunt seems comfortable there and all her needs are being met."

"My father was a resident of the Shaire Center in Lenior. He had suffered a stroke and was also suffering from dementia. The staff was kind and caring from the first time we visited. Leaving a loved one in an assisted living facility is extremely difficult, but we found the staff and facilities to be top notch. The building and rooms were clean and well cared for. The lawn was well maintained. Staff seemed to be well trained, and compassionate with the residents. The cost was reasonable compared to other locations, and we felt it was the best place for my father. He was only a resident for a short time, as he passed away quickly, but we were very pleased with the level of care he received. When his health took a steep decline, they took him to the hospital immediately. The staff was a good balance between friendly and professional. "

"I went to The Berkeley. It was good from start to finish. It's a relatively new facility. Other than that, I would love to have more trees around the backside of the facility. It's surrounded by woods. It's well-kept. The person who gave the tour did an excellent job, and it was nice to hear the perspective of a medical assistant. She had multiple jobs. She did a really good job. Food also appeared to be very good. There was homemade banana pudding in the kitchen. I liked the layout. The kitchen is accessible to both memory care and assisted care, and everybody was very friendly, including the kitchen staff. They offer physical and occupational therapy, but they have activities like hairdressing, doing their nails, watching movies, and sing-alongs. They had several activities."

"I had the opportunity to tour Joyful Senior Living shortly after it opened and was very impressed with what I found. The home is full of light, making it bright and cheery...something I would definitely need in a place I want to call home. I received a warm welcome from the staff and a resident who happened to be in the common area. I casually quizzed the resident about the home and she had nothing but good things to say about it, including how attentive the staff were and how good the food was. She liked being able to go outside and quietly sit in the enclosed back yard and just watch the traffic go by. Watching the staff interact with the resident, you could tell they had already created a close bond between them. Staff truly cared for the resident, meeting her needs in advance, yet still gently challenging her to physically rise to her highest level capable. I've been in a lot of long-term care communities over the years. And Joyful Senior Living is definitely a place I would consider for placement for someone who required the assisted living level of care."
