"I am on my 3rd year as a volunteer there and would like to say I have never seen love for one another such as I do at ALP . Its so wonderful to know these people are cared for in such a way as they are . The staff gives the love and care in the absence of the family. Adult Life Programs could be a role model for other facilities and even families to live by . Thank you Adult Life Programs for being part of my life . You certainly are wonderful people . My wife and I love you all . "

"They provide transportation at Pace@Home and they have activities for seniors, but I only go two days a week. In the mornings, they have yoga and music. In the afternoons, they have crafts and Bingo. Also, they have a doctor and a nurse there. They serve lunch with good meals. The fellowship with other people to me is one of the best things, which I enjoy. "

"My wife is with Adult Life Programs. They give her a couple of meals and they do Bingo once a week, watch TV, and do crafts. It was fairly affordable, so it’s convenient cost-wise. It's been a positive experience and it allows me some freedom since I'm still working, so I don't have to worry about my wife while I'm at work."

"My son goes to adult daycare here in Blue Ridge Community Action. They have a van that comes and picks him up and brings him back home. I didn't have to take him. He gets there by 8:30 and usually gets home by 3:00. He has breakfast here, but they feed him breakfast there. He has lunch, a snack in the morning, and a snack in the afternoon. They go to places like out to eat, they go to ball games, and they go to movies. He loves this adult daycare. They have a nurse on staff. They check their temperatures and blood pressure, they do exercises, and they get a little short nap in the afternoon. It's a wonderful place. They cook all the food there and it doesn't cost us anything. The only thing my son pays for is his van ride. It's very clean and it is nice."
