"My sister-in-law is in Belaire Health Care Center. She is a stroke victim and still partially paralyzed in one leg. They're relatively expensive, but the level of care is very good. They take good care of her, feed her, wash her, and assist her with her bathroom needs. They engage in a lot of physical therapy. They were doing everything they could as far as physical therapy was concerned until they realized she wasn't making any progress. The staff is very nice. The location is a little bit older and a little bit more worn than the others but very well appointed and well cared for. She likes everything but the cost. The semi-privates are smaller and not quite as well appointed as the others. We don't have any problems with them other than the amount of money that we have to pay. "

"The people at Fair Haven Of Forest City are great with mom. They do a good job keeping up with her, treating her, and helping her with everything. The food is good. The facility is really clean. They have a lot of social stuff that goes on where they have them get involved."

"As a United Way Teen Board member, I spent a lot of time volunteering at various nursing homes in Lincoln County, North Carolina .My favorite place to dedicate my time was at Cardinal Health Care Nursing home in downtown Lincolnton. I volunteered my time every weekend at the Nursing Home playing games, reading stories and preparing snacks for the residents. The staff was always very friendly and caring. They would really go out of their way to please every resident. As far as the amenities go, the food was great, the rooms were spacious and every resident felt at home. The interior was kept clean and tidy and the landscape outside was immaculate. There was an onsite salon, cafeteria, and game lounge. The residents were always in high spirits. There is nothing negative that I can say about Cardinal. If I had to recommend any nursing home in the Lincoln area, I would recommend Cardinal Health Care. "

"My mother was in Lincolnton Rehabilitation Center for only 13 days but I know that she was happy and received the best care. The staff was caring to my mother's needs. Everybody there was always willing to help in any way. The staff was wonderful to my mother and our family. I want to thank them for the great and loving care they gave us."

"I went to a place called Alexandria Place, and I was unimpressed with it. I think it is an older place to begin with, and it just wasn't where you want to place somebody if you can help it. The rooms are old, and it looks like a depressing place. I wasn't impressed with the people. You can just tell whether they are friendly or not. These people were more business-like, and I didn't feel like he would be happy there. I didn't see much of anything going on for the people. "

"My dad is in Peak Resources – Gastonia. I absolutely love it. They have great staff and therapists. My dad loves it and I was really impressed. They have semi- and private rooms, and right now my dad is in a semi-private room. My dad likes the food and it looks really good. They have church, games, and social hours. They have a library and a beauty salon. They've been really good to my dad. I'd like to see them have more activities, but what they do have is good for the patients."

"The facility is very welcoming and very clean, my grandmother has been here for over a year now and i have no complaints on the staff or the services provided by the staff, the main thing i like about this place is how polite everyone is and how happy my grandmother is staying at this place, she has never been in a nursing home and was scared at first but shortly after being there her opinion on nursing homes had changed and would refer anyone who had to be in one, my grandmother says the food is also very good and is very happy every time i do visit. "

"We were very impressed with Courtland Terrace. However, the manager was supposed to get back in touch with us when he had space available, but he has not followed up. The rooms were very nice. They're connected with the local hospital. The residents were very well cared for, and everybody seemed to be happy with their surroundings. It seemed to have a good atmosphere. "

"All in all, I would have to say that Boger City Rest home is pretty awesome. We had our doubts at first as we were use to being around my grandmother all of the time, but with the fact that everyone worked and no one was able to move in with her full time to help take care of her, we visited many facilities and Boger City Rest Home gave us the peace of mind of placing her in a living assisted establishment. My mom and dad were very vigilant about visiting often and still are to ensure that proper guidelines were being followed and up until now everything is fine. When I visited, my grandmother seemed very happy, not as happy as she would be as she would be at home, however very happy. I love the fact that she now feels a sense of community and has made very many friends at the Boger City Rest home. It gives my family and I peace of mind knowing that she still has certain freedoms, but has those freedoms with a 24 hour staff that is always there to take care of any situation that may arise. The only negative thing that I have to say, is that this is not a smoke free facility, while no smoking takes place inside, they still allow residents and employees to smoke outside. Overall this has been a very positive experience for my family and I and we would absolutely refer someone to use Boger City Rest home. They have a very friendly and informative staff that always has a smile on their face. I am grateful for them and the level of service they provide for my grandmother. "
