"My brother will be moving into Pacifica Senior Living Skylyn. The reason we chose that one is that's in the vicinity of where he lives already and is probably about a mile and a half from his friends and then to his family. We all live here in the Spartanburg County area. It was very nice. I like the way that all the different areas are connected with hallways. We went to the dining room. We were there for lunch the first day we were there visiting. The meal was very good. Yummy, yummy, yummy. I like the idea that I can go out and visit and have lunch with him or dinner. Everywhere we went, it was clean. It's not brand new fancy, but it's very nice. They have specials every day. They have a little menu that if you don't eat on their regular menu for that day, you can pick off of that one, but you have to go to the main dining room for that. We went and visited in the larger living room. They had some game tables in there. They had several little seating areas and then they had a room that you and your family can visit in there. They have a nice little chapel in there. They have services in there and that's a plus. They've got a nice little library out there. I liked it. Everybody we saw was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and answered all the questions that we had. Everything was clean. They were cleaning as we were there. I didn't see any problems whatsoever. We did get to walk down the hall in the area where my brother is going to be. One of the ladies that lived there said, "Come on in, y'all can see mine," so we just visited with her for a little bit and saw her apartment and my brother said, "Yep, I like this" and so we just went for it. I was pleased with everything."

"My father was in White Oak Estates for rehab. He was doing really well, he had twenty days worth of stay, and I think he was released early. The staff was really good, especially the therapist. We were trying to look for glucose-monitoring systems, but unfortunately, he was released before any of the staff could get him on that, but the physical therapist, speech therapist, and occupational therapist all did a really good job. He was in a private room."

"These people work so hard to take care of the residents. I saw all kinds of help from mantence men and housekeepers. They all work together to take care of my grandma."

"The staff at Lake Emory is great. If I have any questions I can always just ask or email if not there. They do not put you off on another dept or person. I always get an answer right then. "I cannot rave enough about the entire staff at Golden Age. My father-in-law has been there since April 2024. I've been visiting relatives in nursing homes most of my life, and I've never seen the level of care in any facility like he receives daily. He is prone to falls, and they constantly keep an eye on him. They are sensitive to what their residents don't care to eat, and provide them alternatives. When I visited Thursday, he had been given a haircut and a shave, and he looked great! The office staff is extremely knowledgable and over the top helpful. They keep you informed on his progress, his attitude, his interaction with other residents, his eating habits, etc. And make suggestions if necessary to make it a better experience. And the nursing staff is equally good in how they take care of the residents. We just could not be more please with them. Plus, there is a great big covered front porch with rockers that the residents can go out and enjoy. That may sound like a small thing, but I've never seen that at any other facility. Even on these hottest summer days, it's shaded and comfortable. We are looking forward to cooler Fall weather and more good visiting time on the porch. It's a traumatic thing to have to take someone you love out of their home and place them somewhere. Knowing the level of care they give my father-in-law is a blessing we do not take for granted. The most important thing to us is that they CARE. It's obviously not just a job. It's their calling and their hearts. If someone you love needs professional nursing care, I can't imagine any other place that provides the level of care that Golden Age does."

"My father was in Greer Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center for three months. I loved it because not only was the staff very, very nice and very pleasant but what I loved the most was how they were COVID-19 compliant. They had a machine there that took your temperature and signed you in, and it punched out your I.D. right there at the door. I loved that. Security is in compliance as well, and their doors are always locked. The staff comes to let you in and out, and that's great. They're top of the line. The staff is very friendly and the residents seem very happy. They're clean and there's no foul smell that nursing homes usually have. It was just perfect and then a lot of them were VA clients there. The staff is always working, they're not goofing off, they're very good and I appreciate all that they do. They're taking care of patients that have mood swings, and attitudes and they're being very pleasant to the people who come to visit as well. I paid close attention, and there's no discrimination, like in how they treat the minority like myself as a black woman. I saw a schedule of activities for the patients on his side table, it was a schedule for the whole month. The facility is very nice and very roomy. It gave you a hospital feeling because of the sharing of the rooms. In terms of value for the money, the VA paid for it."

"My husband just spent a little over a week at Brushy Creek after a hospital stay. We found everything about the stay to be excellent. The cottage and his room were comfortable, the Physical and Occupational Therapy were excellent, frequent and focused. The nursing and care level were very good and the food was great. Facilities like this do have a hard time with staff turnover, which means that occasionally they were short handed and response time was slower than desired. But it also means that when someone on staff has been there for a while, it is because they genuinely love their job and the patients, and that they are very competent. We were lucky to have a CNA like that in our cottage! I would highly recommend Brushy Creek Post Acute to anyone looking for rehab after surgery or a hospital stay."

"Brookview was a great facility for our mom’s rehab. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff and therapists were kind, nice, encouraging, and supportive. Kayce, the Administration and Marketing Director, was amazing. She was always eager to help us with any questions or concerns we had. She was very professional, caring, helpful, and extremely supportive from day one. She quickly responded to all our texts and calls and showed us lots of patience and understanding as she went the “ extra mile” to make our rehab experience as pleasant as possible. Kayce is definitely a blessing to the residents and families at Brookview in Gaffney. She is always going above and beyond her duties to make Brookview a success story for all its rehab patients."

"I'm considering Rolling Green Village for myself. I've had many friends who've lived there. The best thing about them is the friendly atmosphere. The staff is attentive. I have eaten onsite there before and I know the food is good. The place seems very inviting and clean. Clearly the staff is attentive to any cleaning that needs to be done. In my friend's room sometimes it becomes cluttered, but never dirty. My friend has so many things that she does. She has friends come to visit her and they're able to go to the dining room or to different areas and to visit or eat or play games. And she does get therapy there onsite. They have every sort of facility that you would need right there onsite. They have an excellent layout for the rooms. The size of the room is a good fit for someone with my friend's disabilities. It's very appropriate."

"My husband was doing physical therapy at NHC HealthCare-Greenville. They kept him busy. He did bingo, painting, and many other things. They had bands come in and play. It was great. They were short a lot of time with nurses, especially during COVID, so sometimes it would take a while for them to come change my husband, but we understood that. Whoever cooks there should go teach the other people how to cook. It was top-notch. They would give you choices you wanted and you picked it out. You could get whatever you wanted and then they had another menu if you wanted something else on that day. You could opt out and get something like a hamburger or grilled cheese or soup or whatever. He ate every single piece of it and he never left anything. The staff was awesome. Some of them would come to visit my husband even though it wasn't their job. The maintenance man came in to visit him. Then some of the nurses would drop by just to say hi. They had three courtyards that's right in the middle and you can go out there and they have all these flowers planted and a place where you can ride with the wheelchair and stuff. It was just beautiful. Every day I tried to get him into his wheelchair and we'd go and ride, which I think helped. The way the facility was laid out was great. The activities were the best part. They have them just about every single day. They'll have somebody come in to or play the piano. It was always something to get their minds off of their illness. The building was clean. They had everything organized. The physical therapy people were really good. They worked hard and tried their best."

"My father was a resident there, and my family cannot say anything but thank-you for the excellant care and compassion that was provded to him and our family. The staff on pink hall are the best starting with Christy, Pam, Jan, Sherita, Gabby and the CNA'S . Granted there are a few that dont measure up,, but the ones named make up for what they dont do. We would highly recommend this facility to anyone that needs placement for their loved ones., rest assured you can lay down and rest in peace at night knowing yoour loved one is being taken care of."
