My wife stayed at NHC HealthCare Mauldin for rehab. If I was rating the food, I would give it a three. I felt they were understaffed, as far as handling the volume of people they had. I think the people were great, but they were understaffed. They had bingo, they had all kinds of game show games. They did things with balloons and just different things and did very well in trying to keep the patients occupied. My wife was getting PT mostly. They need to increase staffing.

My brother is at NHC HealthCare Mauldin and they're all just as nice as they can be. He got a nice room and it's very clean. He says the food is good. He's improving slowly, but he is getting better. They have a sunroom that's very nice, and where they have activities and stuff.

I was there for very little under a month. They are understaffed for the number of patients they have to care for . You could not get to you when you rang for help sometimes 30 minutes or more. Their only shining light is Jerry who works second shift. I also want to mention Mia and Queshia.. As for the cleanliness days go by and no cleaning of the room only mopping is done and barely that. Maintenance is hardly seen when you need them. All in all this facility is terrible. Oh yes the food is terrible YUK. Sorry folks won't be seeing you again AND don't get physical therapy 15 minutes is not enough. Good luck to all........

Mom was a resident with a nephrostomy tube and NHC pulled it out on first night. Hospital replaced it with surgery and NHC pulled it out again. At home with tube for 11 days with no issues. Are not at all careful with patients. Do not listen when asked to not give patients certain drugs that don't work for them.

The expert staff is both friendly and caring. The meals are nutritional and delicious. The rooms are clean and cared for. The care team meetings include the resident as well as nurses and therapists. Activities are provided for those who want to participate. All in all, it is an excellent facility.

My mother was at NHC for over a year and I wound up being very disappointed in it. She wound up in the emergency room twice in that place because of their negligence. She had a bad bacterial infection and almost died. The doctors were good about diagnosing and treating her symptoms, but other than that, I didn't like the place at all, and I didn't like the people that worked there. Everything seemed pretty decent and OK when you walk in the door, but there was lack of care and compassion. Also, it's way too expensive.

NHC HealthCare - Mauldin was a fine place. The staff was good. They had activities, but my mom-in-law didn’t participate in any of them. The therapy was excellent. The therapists were very well trained, and they took great care in doing the therapy that was required. It was very impressive.

This is the 3rd time I went to NHC Healthcare Mauldin. I had rehabilitation this time after a total hip replacement. The care was superb, the CNA's, nurses, housekeeping, and maintenance all responded to my needs with a smile. Dietary went out of their way to accommodate me and I appreciate all of their efforts. I attended activities and I even had my nails done. I can't say enough about the therapy department. They had a great sense of humor, I met other residents during rehab and had lunch with them on several occasions, it was a good way to meet and socialize with others. My family said it was like I was at a country club when they came to visit. I met and surpassed my goals in therapy. All of the staff I encountered were professional. I would highly recommend NHC Mauldin to others. They are a 5 star facility in my book. I would definitely use them again. Thanks again NHC for making my recovery and stay enjoyable for the 3 weeks I was there. May God continue bless you all. A. Green ,

This facility is horrible. My loved one, there for rehab has required treatments that were not carried through, medical orders that were not fulfilled, and the cna's have left my loved one in wet briefs for hours. Nurses do not pass vital care information at change of shift and orders go un-noticed. Physical therapy providers and techs do the bare minimum and have horrible attitudes.

I so appreciate this facility. My mother went there with unusual problems and changed from rehab to care for dying. It was an especially hard time for our family and this staff made it so much easier. I do not know what we would have done without them. We got so much respect. Carrie, Tara, Felicia, Jerry, Nurse-Practitioner, Dr. Whitlock, Karen (social worker), Ann and many others were so wonderful to us along with mama. It was the worst time of our lives but we were so cared for.

They're fantastic at Mauldin (NHC HealthCare). The whole staff -- everybody that we have encountered there -- they're just awesome. They're all great. They're very kind. The food is pretty good. The biggest issue there is that there are so many patients, they would bring them out on the metal carts, and by the time it gets to the patients, food is usually not as hot as it would be. Regarding the room, she has a roommate, which I'm glad for. They do have private rooms, but I would prefer that she would be in room with another patient.

My Father was placed for rehab after a fall at NHC Mauldin. Prior to going here, he was walking, talking and helping care for himself. He has Parkinsons which means it takes time to process information and to react to requests. Overall, the staff in this rehab, did not understand how to work with a Parkinsons patient. Some of the staff would give a command and if my Father did not react quickly enough they would get louder and call for additional assistance and become irritated with the perceived slow or non response of my Dad. He is being dismissed after no success with therapy and not walking, communication is harder and his mood is defeated. We are hoping once he gets home, he will show some improvement. The facility is nice and there are some patient and kind staff memebers, unfortunately, this was not the right fit for my Father. I would suggest another facility if your family member has any form of dementia or Parkinsons.

Very nice facility that is catered to meet individual needs in patients. It might be chronic or temporary rehab, but the services rendered are both thorough and instructed in a caring manner. I worked there for 3 years in part-time space on weekends. I enjoyed meeting the staff and working with the facility very much. They treated me with respect and dignity and I was taken out to lunch and shared with special occasions as an equal. I highly recommend this nursing facility above any I have seen.
