"My mother has moved into Piedmont Post Acute. The main reason we chose it was because she had been there once before. It was under a different name, but it's the same staff and everything, and it's close to her family. She really likes it there. Right now, she's there for rehabilitation to help her walk again after the break of her leg. The staff has been very helpful and very attentive to her. She likes the staff, especially the therapeutic staff that are working with her. She has commented on how good the food is. She was surprised. She does memory testing and things like that. What they're doing with her right now is therapy to help her walk again. They have a salon and a courtyard and a formal dining area, and if her family wanted to come in and fix a meal and have a meal with her, they can. They have quite a few amenities that would be admirable for most places. Right now, her fees are being taken care of by Medicaid and her insurance."

"I have been staying in a room that is not that big. The people here at Capstone are OK. I'm doing therapy for one hour a day. They have been trying to get me acclimated to a wheelchair. They wanted to strengthen my right side, but I want to walk because I don't want to use a wheelchair. About the food -- let me put it this way -- I can cook better than them, and I have only one eye. It is a rehab center for short term and long term rehabilitation. In my case, it is short term rehabilitation. "

"We chose Foothills Retirement Community for my father because they have assisted living, memory care, rehab, and skilled nursing all in the same grounds. He's in memory care now and if he has a medical issue, they have a nurse practitioner on the property that can take a look at him, or he can go straight into their rehab or skilled nursing facility if needed. They have continuity of care. The staff is excellent. They've got really good food. The rooms are a little small, but it can accommodate everything he has. Everything else is very good. They take them out a couple times a week and have music come in. They're always busy."

"My mother is in Seneca Residential Care Center, but we do not like it. They're getting served cold food and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for supper. They also have several trip hazards. One is going up to the front door, and my mom's room also has one. The floor is not flush, and she has to pick her walker up over the threshold. We were told of the activities. As of yet, we haven't seen anything. The person we talked to pulled the wool over our eyes. They made us believe it, but it was something that we're finding out not to be true. They have a yard, but there's no trail or anything like that. It's just a grassy area with a picnic table. It's out in the country, so it's quiet. It's near a town and a couple of stores. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom either time we went there. I don't have anything good to say about the place."

"Steer clear of Hartwell. I have documented medication errors and medical conditions that went untreated brought to the attention of Administrator, Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing. When these issues were supposedly investigated, things were covered up or left off the report in their favor. The floor nurses are programmed to be robots just to pass meds. and follow doctors orders. Management including shift nursing supervisors didn’t even know what was going on. Their was no accountability, staff could pretty much do what they wanted and get away with it. On several occasions, my loved one wanted to go to bed early because of not feeling well and was told they couldn’t until after supper! The only positive thing I could say is there were a few caring CNA’s who worked there but no longer are that did a great job."

"My mother-in-law needed to go to a rehab facility and I put the word out on nextdoor to see if anyone could give me some feedback. We liked the thought of her being at a place near us, but only if it was nice. Luckily I had someone who said great things about Fleetwood, so we chose it (there were few Medicare would accept and we knew of 2 that are NOT good). Before sending my MIL, I actually visited just to see for myself. I was shown around by Erica, who is the sweetest! My MIL was there for 3 weeks and I can honestly say that I'm so glad we chose it. It was close enough for us to visit whenever, so if there was anything bad to find I would have. Nurses were so nice. (Summer took very good care of my MIL.) It always smells clean, which is a HUGE plus for me. The only negative I had, which they took care of, was that her bed was not comfortable. As soon as I told her nurse, it took about a day and she had a new one. My MIL said that she loved Paula, who cleaned. She raved about Paula. The PT crew was good and she said the food is good, too. The building may look old...but as I was told by the one who recommended it to me...Don't judge a book by it's cover. Thanks so much to everyone there! I may make it a weekly or monthly thing to go over there and see some of the patients. I loved walking in and seeing them smile when I said "hello!" (date 4/2023)"

"The staff and caregivers at Lila Doyle nursing home treated my family member with the respect and dignity that they deserved. Although the staff seemed a bit overworked, the nurse aides worked well to come together as a team and help all the residents to dress, shower, eat, and be comfortable throughout the day. I am a caregiver myself and know how the caregivers at Lila Doyle feel when taking care of the residents. I was glad to see that they gave such great attention to my family member. I visited on more than one occasion and my grandmother received great care each time. She was very glad to be in such a caring, nurturing environment. The nursing staff at Lila Doyle Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that each resident and family member felt secure in knowing that their loved ones were in the right place. "

"Redeemer Health & Rehab was recommended to me and my mother stayed there. The facility was clean and functional. They had the best staff and that was what I liked the most. My mom was well-taken cared and she seemed content. The food was very good although she refused to eat because of her dementia. I would recommend this place to others. "

"From what I have seen everything in the facility seems pretty nice. It is rather large and multiple floors with elevators taking you to each. The rooms are also nice with a living room, kitchen, and bedroom, and plenty of space for 1 or even 2 people to live. They seemed rather happy and they are also allowed to set the thermostat to whatever temperature they want in their rooms. I know this because the last time we visited they had the room set to 87 degrees. They also seem to really enjoy the meals, as I have never heard a complaint, and the people all seemed extremely friendly and helpful as well. The only thing that I noticed the last time I was there is some spots in the hallway may have needed some patch up paint work. But, aside from that it seemed to be a pretty standard nursing home with nice people, things, and good help from the people that work there. I give it 3 to 4 stars. "

"The staff at Magnolia Manor are kind and caring. They have a clean workspace and a very productive staff. I believe the staff were fully capable to perform their job, and I would even trust myself in their hands."

"My father just left the rehab side after many weeks of therapy. We had a great experience. The nurses were all very attentive and kind. They came whenever Dad needed them and always answered any questions I had with a smile. The therapists there are wonderful. Dad went in not even being able to sit up by himself and came out of there walking around 90 steps before tiring and needing to sit down. They all gathered around my Dad when we were leaving and hugged him and wished him well. Everyone we came across in his stay from the woman who does the laundry, the ladies that help clean them up and give them baths, the cafeteria staff, to the office staff were ALL so helpful, kind and truly seem to care about their patients. It's not the newest and best facility as far as how it looks but its clean, smells fine, and is filled with caring people and that was all that mattered to us. Thank you Simpsonville Rehab and healthcare for caring for my father and truly caring for his well being. You DO make a difference!"

"My mother-in-law was at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Greenville. It was clean and welcoming. It was good. I didn't get to encounter the staff as much. They were not nearby or available. It's not that they didn't do a good job, but I felt like it was a little more difficult to find them. They did, however, three hours a day of rehabilitating exercises, card games, and group sessions. They kept them very engaged. The facility was brand new."
