"The staff at Lake Emory is great. If I have any questions I can always just ask or email if not there. They do not put you off on another dept or person. I always get an answer right then. "My favorite aunt is a resident at this nursing home and my family is very pleased with the care she receives. My aunt has been in other places before, and while some of them have been nicer on the outside, she has made the most progress at Magnolia Manor Inman. In the past, if my family has suggested she consider staying for the remainder of her life, she has gotten very depressed and we felt we had to take her home and try to take care of her. Now that she is at Magnolia Manor Inman, she has readily agreed to stay there! She says she has made friends and the staff treats her like a princess. I am also very impressed that most of the staff speak to me by name when I visit. My family is very happy. "

"Our visit at Carolina Village was very good. They couldn’t have been more helpful and inviting. The room was lovely. The only problem with it really was that it is three-and-a-half hours from my daughter and the one we are moving to is 45 minutes away. But we did not have any negatives about the facility itself. "

"I am so Blessed that Mother has such quality care. I visit every month from Florida and my brother visits almost every day. We check out all of the facilities in the area and this is the best. The staff knows and calls everyone by name and they are all treated with respect. I don't know how they do all they do. I would highly recommend the Laurels to anyone needing short term or long term care. God Bless the staff at the Laurels! "

"The facility was clean. Residents looked happy and cared for. Administrator was nice. Admissions department was kind and knowledgeable. I reviewed menu and food looked good. Activities calendar was nice. "

"I was here for wound care. The therapist comes and gets you. They had bingo and different activities. Then once in a while, they would have a cookout if the weather permitted. I started in a private room because they want to make sure I didn't have COVID or anything. I was there for three or four days and then I went to a shared room after that. The only problem I had with that place was they just take you there and they don't show you anything. They just drop you in and you just have to figure things out by yourself. You don't know where the living places were or the kitchen or anything. They had too many wheelchairs in the way, too. I am allergic to fish and three times they gave me fish."

"My father was in Greer Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center for three months. I loved it because not only was the staff very, very nice and very pleasant but what I loved the most was how they were COVID-19 compliant. They had a machine there that took your temperature and signed you in, and it punched out your I.D. right there at the door. I loved that. Security is in compliance as well, and their doors are always locked. The staff comes to let you in and out, and that's great. They're top of the line. The staff is very friendly and the residents seem very happy. They're clean and there's no foul smell that nursing homes usually have. It was just perfect and then a lot of them were VA clients there. The staff is always working, they're not goofing off, they're very good and I appreciate all that they do. They're taking care of patients that have mood swings, and attitudes and they're being very pleasant to the people who come to visit as well. I paid close attention, and there's no discrimination, like in how they treat the minority like myself as a black woman. I saw a schedule of activities for the patients on his side table, it was a schedule for the whole month. The facility is very nice and very roomy. It gave you a hospital feeling because of the sharing of the rooms. In terms of value for the money, the VA paid for it."

"The people at Fair Haven Of Forest City are great with mom. They do a good job keeping up with her, treating her, and helping her with everything. The food is good. The facility is really clean. They have a lot of social stuff that goes on where they have them get involved."

"This is an older facility that is clean and offers great care. My dad was a resident there for 6 weeks we could not have asked for better attention. He was always clean and he liked the staff and cutting up with them. On the day before and day of his passing, the staff not only tended to his every need they also took care of me and my two sisters. They provided privacy when needed and warm hugs when the time was right. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility."

"Brushy Creek Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center has been excellent. I have no complaints about anything. They're very professional and friendly. They take care of your needs, and they anticipate your needs. It's the best I've ever had, and I've been in four different rehabs in my lifetime. I would recommend this over any place in north part of South Carolina. The food is great. The lady cooks for 40 people, and she will fix me whatever I want within reason. Everything she fixes me is within the guidelines, and it's excellent food. It's not the newest, but it's very well kept and the grounds are manicured. It's a 1-story building, and you have a window that looks out over the manicured lawns. They have a big center courtyard that you can get out and walk around in. Everybody that comes in is quarantined for 14 days. They have to get tested for the virus and come up negative, and as soon as you come in, they put you on another 14 days for lockdown in your room and you're tested after 14 days. If it's negative, then you're allowed to go outside your room. Everybody still has to eat in their room and has to wear a mask when they're outside of their room. All the doctors, nurses and workers have to wear a mask. They're pretty strict about what goes on here. Activities are minimal. We have bingo several times a week and they give prizes, and you play by walkie-talkie."

"My mom moved into Accordius Health at Rutherford (Formerly White Oak Manor - Rutherfordton) three weeks ago. They just changed the staff recently. There is a lot more part time staff than full time staff, and we met some very caring part time staff. Even due to the COVID restrictions, they upped their visitation from three people to four. The facility is very clean too. They have a salon area and an activity calendar. I have not seen anybody doing the activities because my mom is bedridden, but they do have something scheduled every day. They gave me the option to put her in a hospital in ICU or continue to stay there. If we move her to the ICU, it would be a lot more expensive. She would not be allowed to have visitors that she has now. Since they have enough skilled nursing staff that I know, we opted to save money and allow her to have more people to visit her in her last days."

"River Falls Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center was older. The look of the place was not up to date, but the staff made my mom very comfortable. Everything she needed was there, and the rehab was good for her. The food was also good. She enjoyed it, as well as the activities. The room was a little smaller than she's in now; but she was just there for rehab, so it's fine. They had a calendar on the wall that let the residents know what activities were available. They came around each day with an activity cart that they could pick something from, like a book or other things. Each month they had a birthday party, while they did bingo each day. They had snacks for the residents, too. They offer a beauty salon, and then there was a patio outside."
