"We had chosen Highlands Senior Living Forest City because my mom only has so much money and it fit within her range. During my tour of the place, they showed me the assisted living apartments and the lady who did it was very nice. The room has a dresser and a bed with concrete walls. They're also trying to renovate because it is an extremely old building. For food, they provide 3 meals and 3 snacks a day."

"Viva Senior Living at Gaffney is a five because of everything that I saw, the amenities and what they offer, and it's close by to me. Everybody was very helpful and attentive to what I was asking, and they answered all my questions. It's a very nice place."

"I like LaurelHurst & LaurelWoods very much. The staff members were friendly and knew everybody's name. The library was adequate. Their theater room was exquisite. They have a craft room. They only serve dinner."

"My mother is in Brookdale Brushy Creek, and so far, it's been great. She loves the food. The people are great; they love her, and they're caring for her. I would recommend it. She has a shared room. When you walk in, there's a bathroom, a little sitting area with a sofa, and a little kitchen that has a tiny refrigerator and some cabinets. They're like in their own room without a door. They have curtains, which we really liked because she's sharing but has her own room. It's a good location. They do have a central courtyard that they can go sit. They do a lot with the people there. They have couples there who just need some extra assistance. If one spouse needs help, I would definitely recommend they both move in. It's reasonable. They are very helpful."

"My husband spent 6 months at Brookstone Terrace Woodruff. He suffered from Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's disease and lung cancer. During his time there he had a large private room and bath. He received excellent care.The facility is clean and the meals are very good, I ate with him almost every night. The staff was like a second family to both of us as well as my son.I really like that the dementia residents are mixed with the other residents and not locked up in a separate ward.The entire staff was kind, loving, and treated him like he was their Papa.I still go visit the staff and am always greeted with open arms and lots of hugs. Thank you Patrick for being instrumental in getting him transferred from the other place he was in and Thank you to the the rest of the staff for helping to make Brookstone a home away from home.I am convinced that God led me to make that phone call and follow up with a visit. I give them a Five star rating."

"The tour at Harmony at Five Forks was good. The facility's layout is very good and very clean. The staff was very good, the dining area looked nice, and I noticed their amenities. One thing I don't like about it is that it has an oversized kitchen in every room, and the kitchen is not needed. It takes up the biggest part of the room, you have like 20 kitchen cabinets, and you don't need a single one. The bedrooms cannot hold two beds, even two twin beds, so the room layout is not good. The units are not laid out right. Who needs a huge kitchen when no one's cooking. I only saw two staff members, and they looked competent."

"My wife was there for two months during her last days. Such a beautiful place to reside! She received excellent care by the loving and caring staff. All of the people there are so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of tender loving care for their loved ones. Kay was in good hands on her journey to heaven."

"The Legacy at Southpointe Drive was nice. Claudia, the director, was wonderful. She's very good at what she does. The facility has two floors, so some of the residents stay upstairs and some of them are downstairs. But the activities are all downstairs, so that's the only thing we didn't like about it. My mother-in-law can't go up and down. She can't walk very far without getting winded, so that would be kind of difficult for her to have to go downstairs and do the things that are there. They have a studio apartment. It was big enough; it was a good size. They have an event calendar and they talked about the communities coming in. They have activities. They have a garden. The dining room was not very big, but it was nice."

"My wife moved into The Blake at Hollingsworth Park. I liked that it was conveniently located, and we are less than a mile from the facility. It is a well-kept facility. The staff comes across as being very professional and caring. They give a variety of food. The rooms are a nice size and very clean. The dining area almost looks like a restaurant in terms of how they have it set up. Sometimes they have people come in to play the piano during, before, or after dinner. They have a schedule of activities, games, and movie nights. It is a relatively new building, so it's modern and clean. The residents are friendly."

"My mother will be moving into Kauhale Pettigru. I liked the location. It's convenient to my hometown and for all my siblings to get to. I liked the setting. It's in Downtown Greenville, so there are lots of trees and pretty outdoors. I liked that it's a smaller community. There are 20 people in memory care. It would be more conducive to the staff being more attentive. They're not overloaded. I had a pleasant experience. I liked the director who showed me around. She's very nice, very knowledgeable, and she knows her stuff. It was very clean. They had a patio and nice outdoor spaces. They had one that had a grill setup and an outdoor picnic area. They had another one that was sort of like a walking trail that just looped around the back. It was really nice."

"We toured Waterstone on Augusta. What I liked about it was, number one, it was a newer facility. Number two, the care that we saw exhibited there seemed excellent. The people there were very accommodating. The facility itself was excellent, very clean and sanitary. There were lots of activities for the senior adults to get involved in, and the people there were just extraordinary."

"My mother-in-law was at Lakewood Senior Living. It's the best place. I would recommend anybody with memory issues go there because you will not find a better place. They're awesome. The staff is right there with their residents. It has a home appearance; you can tell they care."

"My mom has been in Summit Hills for a month now, and so far everything has been fine. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly. They have a pool there which is nice. They can do water aerobics. They have community rooms and lots of activities. "

"My father is at Pacifica Skylyn and they’re excellent. They have eight people now, but they could go up to 25. They pay attention to him, and you can tell he’s happy, he’s showered frequently, and they get him up as much as they can; you can tell. In the skilled nursing area, they have a lot of windows, they seeme to be really on top of things, they seem to really care, and they have a good staff. They have very good food, they have a person that cuts hair that goes to them, and you can visit the residents any time. The staff is caring, approachable, and knowledgeable."
