TerraBella Shelby was very neat and clean. All the staff that we met seemed very nice. The person who gave us the tour was very knowledgeable and very accommodating with anything I asked. As far as the property goes, everything was great. They prefer that you eat in the dining room, but they will take care of you in your room. We stopped in the common areas and saw people doing puzzles and playing cards.

TerraBella Shelby was nice. When I saw it, I thought about putting my mom there because I was impressed with it. But their rooms were small. The upkeep looks good. The three staff members that I interacted with didn't act professional enough. Two of them were in the room with the door closed. You could hear them laughing and it sounded like they were having a party in there. When we came in, there was nobody to greet us. We just sat down there for a long time, even though we had an appointment. And finally, we got up, knocked on the door, and told them we were there to see someone. They called her, and when we came back out, it was still not a professional atmosphere. It was more like they were just there for the money. The dining area seemed a little smaller and more cramped. Some of the residents were there doing craft activities in a very small, cramped area. They had an outdoor space, and it was being reworked at the time.

I toured TerraBella Shelby. It was clean and I liked it. It seemed like they have activities. I like the staff. They were kind, considerate, and caring. The rooms were clean and had good space. The dining area had a big table, so everybody can eat together. It seems like a good place for them. They have a nice sitting area where they could watch television.

It is excellent. I feel like my mom is very safe there. She has a roommate, she has a double room or a shared room. She's comfortable and she likes it. It's excellent for her. The staff is caring and attentive. They seem very interested in making sure she is comfortable. They have a beautiful outdoor area that's closed-off for the patients. They have a beautiful TV room. This is just in the memory care so the other part has even more room, it's a beautiful facility. They do games, painting, reading, and exercises. I've seen activities going on and they have a lot. I just love the place. She was in another place for 3 years and it doesn't even begin to compare to this place. They do activities with just the memory care people, which I think is wonderful.

We toured for my parents, and it was all Alzheimer's patients. Honestly, it looked like a lot of lifeless bodies sitting around as opposed to people up and doing things. It's more like a home setting. The staff was very helpful. All I saw were the rooms and the community area where everyone could go.

My father-in-law stayed here. It was very pretty and very nice. The outside had flower gardens where they could look out their windows and see them. There were rocking chairs for us on the front porch, and they had screened-in windows. They were able to pull him up near that screened window, and we got to talk to him. Everybody was very nice. The staff was always very caring. We saw some ladies doing some paintings, and they had a worker with them to help them clean their brushes.

It is a very nice place with caring nurses. The rooms are nice. My father seems to like it. They have an outdoor garden where the memory care people can enjoy outside while being kept safe. The staff members are always on the lookout if my father needs anything. If he mentions something he wants, they bring it to the family's attention in a timely manner. They would call if they think there is any concern. My father is in a shared room. They have a calendar with almost an hourly type of different activities. They post it for the residents and send letters to the families so that they know what's going on. They have special events depending on what's going on for the season, special activities, cook, and make different ornaments. All the rooms have full bathrooms. They have a barber and a podiatrist that come. There are on-site doctors, too. Overall, it's a good place.

I liked everything about here. The place was very nice and very clean. What I liked best was that the only part that was locked was their memory care unit. Those in assisted living could go out to the porch if they want to, while in other facilities that I visited they could not. They offer a lot of activities, like bingo, but none that I think my uncle would participate in because of his mental capacity. They could take him to his doctor's appointments or I could. They had laundry service and a beauty salon where they had someone come in; if they don't have someone working, I could come over and cut his hair and shave if needed. It was absolutely excellent.
