"My mother has moved into Rittenhouse Village. It's been very nice. She has been very happy there. The rooms are very nice and very comfortable. My mother is very happy with the staff members. She said they all know her by name for the short time she has been there. The dining is restaurant-style. There are people who individually wait on the tables. They have bingo, exercise classes, and field trips to the store. They have a library, too. My mother hasn't attended too many activities, but they offer everything."

"We recently moved our mom into Two Hearts Homes for Seniors, and the experience has been nothing short of amazing. The environment truly feels like a home—not a facility. The private rooms, warm décor, and open family-style layout make such a difference. We’re especially thankful for the attentive staff and their personalized approach. "My mom has moved into Brookdale Valparaiso. They were the only place that could offer all the services that my mom needed. Everything that she's had problems with at the other facilities, the hospital or clinics or whatever, she hasn't had to deal with there. As a matter of fact, she recently had a problem where she had a UTI, and we didn't know what was going on, and the nurse there decided to send her to the hospital, which was the best thing possible at the time because they found out it was like a blood infection. The staff are very friendly. I haven't had any trouble with anyone there. My mom's room pretty much got the layout that I've seen in most of the other places. It's a one-bedroom. When you walk in, it's got a little kitchen, there's a small living room, then a bedroom and bathroom. The food is pretty good there. The dining area is like a small restaurant type of thing. They do a lot of activities. I'm not exactly sure what all they do, but I know they do a lot of things. She does participate, and she is hardly in her room because they're always on an activity. Sometimes they play bingo, and sometimes they go places. The atmosphere is pretty laid back, like a community type vibe. They encourage people to bring their families there and spend time with them there."

"My mother will be moving into Prairie Green at Dixie Crossing. It's supportive living. They have a lot of activities, and they have a lot of assistance for seniors with meals and just overall personal care. They'll help her with bathing, with washing clothes and medications. The staff member was very warm and very helpful. It's clean, and the upkeep is very good. They have transportation to take them to stores and doctor visits as well."

"My parents have lived at the village for two years. The staff was kind and patient with them while they were making the decision to leave their home. The nursing staff is responsive and does a wonderful job that surpasses just passing meds. The Aides are a delight. The Chef and kitchen staff go out of their way to make the residents feel at home The food is very good and portions are generous. There are activities and outings to enjoy at their leisure. Overall, my parents and I have been very happy with this next phase of their life at The Village."

"I normally don’t take the time to post reviews, but I felt compelled to share how wonderful our experience has been at the Residences. We feel very lucky to have found this place and although the road to assisted-living was not easy for my family, we are all very confident that we made the right decision for our Mom. This place is clean and consistent. The staff really does their best for the residents And they offer such wonderful activities each day. My mom really likes the farmers market and coming down to their little café and having her hot chocolate and snacks every day. The restaurant is a great bonus for when our family visits too! She’s moving more now than she was moving the last year at home. The therapy is wonderful as well. Overall, 10/10! Highly recommend!!"

"My sister is at Sunrise of Flossmoor. It is extremely clean. There's easy access for family members. There is a nursing staff 24/7, as well as a concierge for security. They have numerous activities and outings. The dining area is more restaurant style, and the residents can more or less choose what they want off of the list of things for that day. They have very nice people. They are friendly and active. The medical staff is very interactive with us, so that if there are issues we know right away. It's just a good facility. They have all kinds of activities. There is exercise, outings to the library, ice cream socials, bands, and all kinds of activities that are brought in. There are crafts, cards, and entertainment. It's very nice. They try to keep the residents active in many ways. They also have a facility mascot, like a dog and a cat, for the residents. The staff is very helpful and very friendly to my sister. They keep me informed so I know what is going on, and that's all good. Whether it's medical or not, I know what's taking place, and I know she's getting the care that she needs. The food is very good, but I think there could be more monitoring as far as what food a resident is ordering, like if they're trying to control their diabetes and so forth there could be monitoring for that, and there could be more staff to serve the dinner and food items in a more timely fashion. I think the rooms are a little bit expensive and there is some marijuana smoke that you can smell sometimes at the facility, which I'm sure is a resident that's doing that. When you're spending $5,000 or more a month or $7,200 for the memory care, which is a separate unit, I don't think you should have to have that, even though it is recreationally legal. I just think there should also be a Medicaid option, and there's not a Medicaid option there."

"I have lived in this community for 6 years. I have room apartment on the second floor I have a washer and dryer in my unit and am just down the hall from the trash room. The food in the dining room is tasty and there is a great variety, The staff is the best,,,,,from the concierges to the dining room servers to the house keepers and maintenance staff. There are plenty of activities to keep you busy all day. The residents are, for the most part, kind and friendly to one another. HUMAN NATURE IS NOT PERFECT! I love Sunrise and am not going anywhere."

"Charter Senior Living of Hazel Crest was smaller than the others, which seemed more personable. It's very nice. The people that we met were pretty nice. They seemed to be more hands-on, even more so because they don't have as many people to deal with. I met as many staff members as I could that I would be dealing with on a daily basis. It's a great facility."

"I was a resident of Victory Centre of South Chicago for 10 years. The staff were all nice. All the managers from the other building were nice to us. They had a lunch thing downstairs, you can go in and buy your food if you want. They could serve a meal, but we cooked our own food, too. If we didn't feel like cooking, then we could go downstairs and eat in the cafeteria. The facility was nice and clean. They cleaned up every day. They kept everything cleaned up for us. The janitors were nice. They helped us with everything we asked for. Anything we need to be moved out, they moved for us. They did everything for us. We played bingo and solitaire. We played everything up in that building. I loved it. That's why I said if I have to, I will go back. That's why I had to keep my name on the list and she said she'll keep me in touch when a vacancy becomes available. I told her my daughter was going to have surgery, and then I would go back to that building. That building was so nice. Everybody was friendly with no problem. I enjoyed that building."

"We chose Victory Centre of Sierra Ridge for Dad because they take Medicaid. Everything seemed fine. It's clean. Ashley was fantastic. They have arts and crafts and games. They have a whole room with various activities. The eating area was clean, and the people seemed to be enjoying the food. The room that they showed me was very nice. I think my dad will be very happy there. They have physical therapy and other things that I think will be beneficial to him."

"I toured the Victory Centre of Roseland. The staff was very engaging and very informative. He let me know what would take place while my dad stayed there, the activities, the meals, and the things that he would get. They have daily activities. They do laundry. They do housekeeping. The dining area was clean. It's open and spacious, and the people don't have to sit on top of each other."

"I toured the Prairie Green at Fay's Point. It was a great and impressive place. The staff was very knowledgeable, very engaging, very thorough with all the information. The tour was great. The facilities are great. I even toured one of the units. They explained every piece to me, from meals to the services that they provide, everything, even the process of applying to their facility, so I was very pleased. I am going back to take my mom and my sister to view the place. The layout was great, the outdoors was nice, and they had a walking path. I also liked that they had a nurse's station on each floor. It was very nice when you walked into the place. The lobby area was very festive for the holiday. It has the Fall scene in the hallway which was very nice. It was clean, the staff at the lobby area was engaging, and the residents seemed like they were happy. They had a salon. They had a workout area. They had a library and computer area, which they also helped seniors work on the computers. They also had a rehabilitation facility. They had a different activity board of the things that they have that the seniors can do. They had transportation for the residents. I liked the fact that they have to buzz you in to get into the facility, and no one can just walk in. So that was good as well. The lunchroom was huge. I like the fact that they take your order and you could bring it to the table."
