"I toured American House Southland with a lady by the name of Colleen. She was very friendly and open to any questions I had. Compared to some of the other places, when you walk in, I feel like I'm home. The staff was very helpful. She took me around the place. I saw an apartment that was empty, and I got to see what the cafeteria looked like. The staff gave me a menu for the month of June to show me what they serve. It's different all the time, and you have a choice of two different entrees. At the other place, they just have one entree, but at American House Southland, they gave you a choice, which I thought was very nice. There is an area where they can go for movies. They have a library if you want to get books. She also mentioned that you can walk around the property, and they are going to have a small gazebo by the pond where the ducks swim. I just felt so much more comfortable there."

"I liked Glass Peaks Senior Living very much, and so did my daughter. The bedrooms were a little bit small, but we could fit my husband's queen-size bed in there, and put his dresser in one of the closets. He would have a walk-in shower, and I would have a bathtub in my room that was across the hall. We would sleep in two different bedrooms because my dog would sleep with me. The upkeep was very good. They kept it beautifully. We walked through the dining area, and it was very nice, too. We would have a small kitchenette in our apartment, and I could fix something there for us if we didn't want to go down to the dining room. I could warm up soup or make a sandwich or whatever. The woman who gave the tour was fantastic. She answered all questions and everything for us."

"I visited the American House Southgate's assisted living for my mother, and we have decided to have her move there. It was very nice, the staff was friendly, and it was very clean. They've also been extremely helpful in the entire process of us trying to get the apartment ready for my mom to move in. She will be moving into a two-bedroom apartment. The facility has a common dining room, a meeting hall, and an entertainment area in the lobby. On different floors, they have different community meeting places, a chapel, and a game room. We chose this place because of the location and the price. They were the most reasonably priced place for us."

"I visited this facility last week and I was very pleased with cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. I am most definitely considering Assurance assisted living to help with my mom. I feel like she would be in great hands here. The one young lady Kiara was very sweet and answered all of my questions. She even was even open to some suggestions I made and said that she would consider accommodating them.Over all it was a pleasant visit and they are in my top 3."

"We really liked the Bellaire Senior Living. It was just a little further out. The staff was very friendly and nice, but I didn't see any other African-American resident because I like a well-rounded place, a little bit of everybody. The rooms were very nice. They have studio and one-bedrooms, but the only thing they had available was the studio. They had a TV room where they do games and stuff like that. I had no complaints."

"Our parents moved to Oakleaf Village in May of 2015. Mom enjoyed living there almost 4 years, and Dad over 5 years. He passed away in July 2020 of natural causes. We cannot say enough about this incredible Community. Our folks selected Oakleaf having visited friends there and noticing the vibrant Community. It's a unique, caring place filled with amazing staff. They took such great care of our folks. Even during the difficult days of the COVIC-19 pandemic when our Dad was declining (he did not have COVID), they treated our Dad (and us!) with the utmost kindness and respect. Our parents chose very well when they chose Oakleaf Village of Sylvania. Our entire family will forever be grateful for the excellent care, genuine compassion, and true friendship (lots of fun activities!) found at Oakleaf Village. I highly recommend this facility to you. "I toured Brookwood Living - Taylor. They are simply beautiful. They're gorgeous. It would be a nice place. There is nothing I can say that is wrong with them, other than the fact that I can't afford them. All you had to do was pack your suitcase and move in. Everything is in there. Everything was top quality, beautiful appliances, gorgeous finishes, and a beautiful kitchen. The only problem with the whole place was the price. They had an extra maid service and community rooms you could rent out. The person who took the tour was a delight. She was a young girl."

"The staff at StoryPoint Saline was friendly. The facilities were pleasant. It's what I would choose. The staff member there not only toured me to the building, but she also gave me some tips on moving and getting rid of things, which was very helpful. They invited me to come back for a meal along with my friend who accompanied me there, but I did not have time to do that. I especially like that they had their own staff. In a lot of these places, if you need help, you have to contract it through a different entity, and there, they have their own staff. The facilities, while they are not as new and shiny, were perfectly adequate."

"My brother is in American House Westland Venoy. It is wonderful. The director there, Cindy, was awesome. She explained everything and showed us around. Everybody just seemed so nice there. So far, my brother likes it. The staff gave us options on what to expect and what different programs they have there. The size of his room is perfect. It has everything that he needs. It's got sliding glass doors to go out to his patio. I thought it was very nice. Everything looks clean and fresh. They have card games, bingo, arts and crafts, and entertainment."

"The staff at the American House Carpenter is fabulous. Some residents were very welcoming and gave their opinions on living there. This one is the most ideal location for us, and my former husband, who is the care recipient, felt good about it, which is the most important thing. I would certainly endorse it as the perfect place for him. It was wonderfully inviting and clean, it had a lot of activities, and he felt comfortable there. We visited for independent care, although we also asked about assisted living options. We're planning that he will need step-up care with his Parkinson's as the years go along, but we're starting with independent living."

"I moved into Maple Heights. The people are very nice, like from the kitchen to the front desk to the girls that bring the food, or cleaning. They're all very courteous and helpful. You can have the meals sent up to your room if you don't want to go to the dining room. There's three meals a day and housekeeping. If you want to wash your own personal clothes there you can do that. The food is really pretty good. It's a little bit on the bland side, but I happen to like that. I cannot eat highly seasoned food. I have not seen a swimming pool. They have exercise classes almost every morning. They have activities that they do with the people. Then they have people come in and play music for them. They have karaoke and bowling. There's at least six things per day to do. They take you grocery shopping and to doctors' appointments, they go to restaurants, they have ice cream socials. Everything I have ever needed, they're right there. It's worth every penny."

"I toured Genesis Village. I liked the lady who gave me the tour. She was nice. Her name was Elaine. I enjoyed the food and activities in the morning, and the rooms were nice. They have a washer and dryer, not inside the apartments, but on the floor. They have three meals a day."
