The Windsor at San Pablo was a beautiful place. The room and everything they showed us looked beautiful. They just couldn't take my mother in. She needed too much care, but everybody I talked to seemed very friendly and very helpful.

We toured The Windsor at San Pablo and they're nice. It was a little expensive, though. Everybody else is about a thousand bucks less. What I liked the best was the representative that was working with me. He was a very, very good guy and I liked him a lot, so it was very cool. Theirs was a brand-new facility, very clean, and very tidy. The staff was perky, nice, fun, and nice people. Great staff is an important thing because those are the people taking care of your family member. The price was a little bit higher, but I guess, I'm assuming you get what you pay for.

I visited The Windsor at San Pablo for my aunt, and they were wonderful. This was the first placed we toured. I liked the person we dealt with. It was a beautiful facility. The room was very nice, but it was more room than we needed. It is sort of like a little apartment, and we did not need anything other than a good-sized bedroom. Everything about it was top-notch, first-class. The dining room was very tastefully decorated. Of course, they could not have tablecloths -- nobody can have tablecloths right now -- but there are flowers on the table, and it was very pretty and very appealing. The surroundings are gorgeous. It is in the same area as the Mayo Clinic, and it is pretty out in that area. The staff was excellent.

My mother is a resident of The Windsor. She has really enjoyed living there. The employees there are so kind to all the residents. I visit with her a lot and I see how much respect the residents are given. Loads of fun activities are planned. She is going to therapy to walk better. She is not steady on her feet but she is improving. She has her hair done every week. They help her dress and she is looking great. I really appreciate the great job the nurses and staff are doing taking care of my Mom. I rest easy knowing she is being treated with kindness when I am not around. The food is wonderful and she is eating well. It is a quiet and friendly place!

My father is currently living at The Windsor while my family is moving to California. I check in on him daily by phone, and he seems very content. He's getting physical therapy and enjoys the movie theater where they play a movie twice a day. He's eating well and I am very relieved knowing he is being well cared for.

I didn't like The Windsor at San Pablo so much. It's not as nicely-appointed, and it just seemed kind of old-fashioned. It's not horrible, but I wouldn’t choose it. They have a few little things, but it doesn't seem to have much. I just wasn't very impressed.

I visited The Windsor; it’s a very nice place, and it’s only been there for 2 years. It was very spacious and nice. It was OK for very active seniors, but for those using the walker, it would be hard to move around. They were playing bingo when I went there. They did some exercise.

The one I was impressed with the most was The Windsor at San Pablo. First of all, it’s gorgeous. It was the prettiest. It was nice and elegant. They had a home theater. It was really upscale and nice. What I really like is that they had restaurant-style dining; you went into a high-end restaurant where they have the menu and one of those leather bound booklets. It was really nice. The price was reasonable. It was comparable to the other places I saw.

My mother is in The Windsor at San Pablo. It is wonderful. Everything is awesome, including the people and the providers. My mother is in the memory care unit, which has very kind people. The place is beautiful, clean, and spacious. The dining area is really good, very clean, and very nice. It is only two years old. My mother is in the locked-in unit. They have a library, a nice courtyard, and a movie theater. They play bingo, cards, and have a bunch of activities. It is expensive, but it comparable to other places and much nicer.

I think The Windsor at San Pablo was much nicer. That’s probably the nicest one of the three we visited in terms of the assisted care. It’s a very nice place. They have a very nice young man there that gave us a tour. He was very knowledgeable. He gave us good insights on the cost. The ambience was excellent. It was very clean. Service looked good. Restaurant looked good.

We move my mother-in-law to Windsor at San Pablo. It is new within a year and half. They are wonderful. We walk in the door on a Sunday afternoon and they call one of the nurses to the walking path and they show us around. We feel she is having really good care. She is in the assisted living. She is in a small apartment. It has a bedroom, a bathroom, a living room and a small kitchenette. They have a salon, a barbershop and a gym. During the Christmas holidays, they have something almost every day for them either activities or entertainment. They have a movie theater. We watch a couple of the recent football games in there with her. We have not eaten, but she eats all her meals there.

The Windsor seemed to be a real competitor of the other facility that I visited. However, I thought their apartments or their facilities there were not quite as filled with natural light, and it didn't seem to be laid out as nicely as the other one did. I just didn't feel as comfortable in them as I did with the other. As far as what they had to offer, they were comparable. They had the book clubs, the movies, and things of that nature. The dining area was nice. Then again, they do not have the openness in all of the windows that the other place did. The natural light meant so much, and it sort of got rid of that institutional feeling. They didn't seem to have the closet space or storage space that the other one did, but it was adequate. We had an acquaintance that had been there for two years, and she thought the food was very good and I would go to what she thought. The Windsor was a beautiful facility -- especially the one by the male clinic -- but it was more expensive.

The rooms were great. Everything was very nice, clean, and very upbeat. They had beautiful gardens. The staff was absolutely helpful. They called after I left, and they were all super good. But The Windsor at San Pablo wasn't as homey as I'd like it to be; it was a little more industrial and a little cold.

The Windsor is a new facility. It is very focused on the people who lived there. None of the rooms I really cared for in any assisted living location because they were so small. But that is just normal. The dining area is more pleasant than a restaurant although I did not have a meal there. They have some kind of craft and bingo in one room. Then they actually have a separate kitchen and room for family with a large gathering. It is actually more like a big family room, so that's neat. The grounds are all new, so it's nicely landscaped. The facility is about a mile from a Mayo.
