We were looking for a retirement home for my Uncle, and this was definitely not in choice. We walked into the home without an appointment, and we were shocked to see an elderly resident on the floor. The employees seemed busy, so he was laying there unattended for quite sometime. The facility had a distinct odor which was not pleasant. Overall, it wasn't what I expected when I read these other reviews. Thank you, but we will be passing on to the next one.

Normandy Manor was a clean facility with eye pleasing decor. It was not rundown and the furnishings were traditional so the residents felt like it could be something they would have chosen. The staff was friendly and respectful to their residents. They shared their own stories about their families. Additionally, the meals seems pretty healthy and pleasing to the residents' palates. The resident who was my relative always found entertaining activities to do when they chose.

We visited Normandy Manor while in the region looking at assisted living facilities to consider for my friend's mother. We did not have an appointment, yet the staff was very accommodating and took us on a full tour. The outer exterior appeared very well maintained. The grounds were nicely landscaped, with many nice trees, walkways and seating areas. This facility can accommodate a variety of ambulation levels and as needs change, the care team adjusts accordingly. We could feel a very good energy when we stepped inside. This facility had ample communal rooms for activities such as reading in the library, card games, physical exercise and crafting. The fitness center was nicely maintained, with regular classes. The trainers are on hand to ensure safety while assisting the seniors in every way they can. The private living spaces were generous, and the rooms we saw was beautifully decorated with lots of fresh air and light. All units were well designed and efficient. Healthy snacks are offered all day and into the evening, as well as whenever residents request them. The dining room was quite nice, with plenty of space. The food we saw looked and smelled delicious. The menus all had healthy food options for all kinds of diets. The outside activities feature many interesting cultural events in Clearwater and the surrounding areas, like films, art and other interesting cultural gatherings. This is a well-designed living environment for seniors that includes everything that they need. We were impressed with how the staff here interacts with residents with great kindness and caring.
