My mother moved to Arden Courts of Largo. We chose it for her because all they do is memory care, and that's what she needs. Just meeting with the staff and the director, we learned they have employees who have been there a long time, so they have a lot of longevity. They also don't use outside staffing. It's just a really nice place. The people who work there have compassion for the residents, and they really are there to take care of people and not just collect a paycheck, so it's good. Every day, they do 10 hours of activities, and that's anything from arts and crafts, music, trivia, movies, and gardening. They have a tremendous activity calendar. It's just a really sweet place. The food is good, and the meals are nice. You're talking about a memory care facility, so these residents aren't able to do a whole lot. What they are able to do, the facility makes sure to incorporate games and activities, and things that will keep the residents as active as possible.

We toured Arden Courts of Largo. They have a superb staff. Rachel was a real sweetheart. She called me periodically, even after she knew we weren't going to be going there, to see if I needed anything and just check. Even though we told them flat out that we weren't going to put my mom in there, that we were going to keep her at home, she still would call regularly to check on us and see how we were doing. There's a little area you can walk around outside, a little patio area, almost like a little village, and I like the layout.

I toured Arden Courts of Largo. Everyone seems pretty helpful and friendly. The facility looks very clean and welcoming.

My husband moved to Arden Courts - ProMedica Memory Care Community. It's all furnished. You don't have to bring anything in unless you want to. The food is excellent. The help that the nurses give to the patients is fantastic. They're very nice. I'm there every day for three or four hours and I never hear any nasty words. There are four different setups in there. It's not all on one floor. It's four different homes set up. They have a living room, they have a dining room, and they have a kitchen. If somebody is not there when it is time to change them, they go look for them in one of the other homes with friends. They have all kinds of activities. They have a church service on some days in the morning. They have people come in and play music and old songs, and they play games with them. They go out in the garden and plant vegetables. They exercise. They like volleyball. They play bingo with them.

We reviewed many places for our parents prior to choosing Arden Courts. It's not often that both parents have dementia issues but that is what we were up against. While this is not the norm Arden Courts has been able to accommadate my parents needs. There are several activities to those residents that want to participate. We have visited during mealtime and I must say, the food is very good. They also accommadate special diets or tastes. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgable. We feel our parents are well taken care of by the entire staff and are quickly informed of any issues that may occur. We are very happy we have chosen Arden Courts to care for our parents!
