I toured Angels Senior Living at Dunedin. It's a very small community, and the whole unit is memory care. The rooms were very nice. I was only able to tour a single room. It was very nicely furnished and quite spacious for one person. The staff who gave the tour was very knowledgeable, very attentive, and interacted well with the patients as we were going through the facility because several of them came up to him and wanted contact. He was very caring and helped them. The eating area was nice. It was a larger dining room, and it had a patio that opened off and led out to the enclosed garden area, so it was nice.

Everybody was extremely nice at Angels Senior Living at Dunedin. I did not try the food, but the facility needs work. It needs some TLC, and it needs a paint job. It was the most inexpensive place that was recommended, and you can tell why it's so cheap. I would give the friendliness of the staff a rating of 5.

The best thing about Angels Senior Living at Dunedin was the tour guide. I suppose he's the director and he was very pleasant and very friendly. The stench of urine mixed with body odors made me very sick to my stomach, though. I had to go outside before I vomited. I couldn't stand it. I had to get out of there. He showed us a sample room of where mom would be moved with a roommate. They brought their own furniture, but it was so messy. Apparently, they don't have any housekeeping. There was stuff strewn everywhere, and it was a depressing paint color. It was dirty. The bed was dirty. Then he showed us a private room, which they had staged. It was pleasant, but that's not indicative of the rest of the place. I felt no one was happy. It was nothing but uncomfortable folding chairs. They had some men singing for entertainment, but I didn't see one smile on anyone's face. The room sizes were on the small side (between small and medium). It was carpeted, like a thin carpet, and I think it is unwise for cleanliness, because what they're having to deal with are dripping bodily fluids and things.
