We're going to place my mom at The Haven Assisted Living @ Eleanor because it might be a good match for her. She's going to be the 6th person in this house. They have live-in caregivers there 24 hours a day. What I liked most about it is the low resident-to-caregiver ratio. They're licensed to take in only 7 residents. They kept the place very clean, and there was no odor whatsoever. I saw the residents and they were all dressed and clean, looked like they were all cared for. The place is like a 2000-square-foot home that they've converted into assisted living, so it's more home-like. It's this large ranch-style home with a big dining area right off of the kitchen, a large dining table with chairs. I would have to take mom to her doctor's appointments, but they have a hairdresser that comes in. I even saw a bunch of ladies with their feet up in their chairs and they were doing their toenails. They have a deck out back and they're in a big corner lot, with fresh fruits and vegetables in the garden. Jackie was very good. She knows her product, she was very casual, very upbeat, and very friendly. The outside needed some painting and upkeep, but that's all.
