The Chesapeake Adult Living Home knew the family members or visitors of all of their residents very well. They are very friendly and the care is excellent, even though it is a small facility less then 100 residents. The dietary needs of the residents is well maintained as well as any medical concerns and needs. The home is well kept and have several aids around the clock. The doors are always locked, and only competent residents are allowed to have a key to get out to the courtyard. No resident is allowed to leave unless prior permission is taken and there is a curfew. Chesapeake Home for Adults does allow you take your loved one on outings and over nights but need to be back within a certain time. The Home is open to visitors 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Chesapeake Home for Adults are very good at keeping family and friends informed of all issues between, medical, financial and the all around care of the residents. I would recommend this home for anyone who needs the care and experience this home has. It looks like a regular home with many rooms, many handicap bathrooms and a Doctor and a Nurse that come in on a weekly basis. They even have a Barber that comes in once a month to keep the residents well groomed. The rooms are shared and they have a wonderful dining area. The outside is well groomed and landscaped. I believe the only issue I have with this home is there needs to be more handicapped access to more of the grounds outside.
