I am a resident of The Gardens of Virginia Beach. They are very friendly, and they want to help people. My room is fairly large, not small. The food is excellent. They're also extremely helpful. The staff and people here succeed in whatever their ventures are. They're very concerned about modernizing and making things better. Every time somebody moves out there, they are rebuilding and modernizing. I mean, I just have one of the brand-new freezers. They're putting new cabinets in all the rooms as people move out. They're in the process of modernizing and updating the activities. We have everything from church on Sundays, and the Catholics have a service. Then we have visiting pastors come in and hold church with them. Others bring just certain members of their church. We have mental things to do to keep our minds busy and active.

I chose The Gardens of Virginia Beach for my mom because it has a very active activity department. The residents are very friendly, and it just seems like a nice place. They have activities like an auction, the usual bingo, crafts, go shopping and to a restaurant. They also have a book club, gardening, do exercise, and have music appreciation activities.

The staff at The Gardens of Virginia Beach have been helpful and caring towards me. I continue to see staff handle the residents with care and kindness. Staff answer and provide solutions to my questions. This assisted living seems to be clean and have seen personnel cleaning rooms. The Gardens also have a beauty parlor with knowledgeable hair dresser. Also provide service for washing and drying clothes. Towels were neatly folded when returned to residents room.

My visit to the Gardens was good. I liked it, and the people were very kind. The bedroom was nice, clean, and more like a studio but had ample space. It seemed like a very homey place.

I had a very good experience visiting The Gardens; everyone was very nice. They were serving three meals a day. The doctor and nurses assistants come in to check on regular periods.

The Gardens is smaller, and the memory care has 17 people. It seemed to be corporate and doesn’t seem to be more caring. They have people outside that were really nice.

The Gardens of Virginia Beach allowed pets in their facility and that was the main reason my friend chose it. It was also close to home and everybody she knew. The rooms could be bigger but it was spacious enough. I would recommend this place depending on the person's condition.

I visited The Gardens and it was a beautiful place. It was nicely furnished and very clean. The staff seemed to be very good. They had a lot of activities. They had exercises. They were singing. They got very good food and they had their own menu and the residents could pick what they wanted and the dining room was nice.

The Gardens of Virginia Beach is just down the street. My wife and I toured it and we're very happy and satisfied with it. She and I won't have to travel far to see my dad. The staff was very helpful. They didn't just wait for me to ask questions but I could tell from the conversation that they were looking for questions I might ask. We saw 3 different rooms. One room was big for what we were looking for. The smaller one was too small. But the middle one was just right and cozy. The most alluring feature of this facility is the general accessibility and the atmosphere of the whole place. I would absolutely recommend them to others.
