My mom has moved into the assisted living of Harmony at Independence. I like that it's a fairly decent-sized community, they have a lot of activities, and their menu is very nice. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The place is very clean and easy to get around. They have an outdoor space, a library, and a movie room. They have movie nights and trips where you can go around the world via video. They also have happy hours.

I don't like Harmony at Independence's location. It's on the corner between two very busy streets. It was very quiet inside, though. There was no noise whatsoever. The rooms were nice; they were a good size. The thing I like the least is that the hallways are very long. You have to walk quite a long way to get to an elevator. Even though they have two sets of elevators, it is still quite a long walk. I walk with a cane because I have a bad knee, and that's difficult. Also, with the rent, they only cover one meal a day rather than three, and I don't like that. I think it's better if they could cover all the meals or at least offer that. The people were quite nice though. We looked at the menu but didn't get to try any of the food. We had to wait a little while, probably 15 minutes for the fellow to give us the tour. So probably it was not one we would choose. I don't like the location, and I don't like having to walk. The staff who gave the tour was very pleasant and very cordial. They're very nice people. The cleanliness was good. We're looking at a two-bedroom and they have a two-bedroom at each corner, but it was a very long walk for me. The atmosphere was warm, cozy, and nice. It was a nice day. There were a lot of people outside.

We toured Harmony at Independence. I felt like I was in an old people's home. I mean, it was because when we walked in there was an ambulance in the front door, and a lot going on in it, sort of not a good feeling. But when we went through the building, you got the feeling that it's not what I was looking for in an independent living where everybody is healthy and getting around you. The staff was very good. She's very sweet. I had talked to her on the phone several times. The facility was clean. I can't say that it wasn't clean. It was just getting the feeling that you were going into a nursing home, and that wasn't what I wanted to feel when I went there. The sizes of the rooms and the layout were very good. The size of the apartments that I looked at were nice. I was looking at a one-bedroom, which is all I need.

The staff at Harmony at Independence was very friendly. The facility was very nice, and they had a lot of activities for the adults. It didn't seem like a nursing home, and I felt it was a very diverse mix of residents. My father would comfortably fit in there. The staff was very attentive. You could see that they had a rapport and relationship with the residents. They had a movie theater room. They had an activity room, 2 libraries, and a gym area.

Harmony at Independence was a very nice place. It was a big community with hundreds of people living there. It was bright, clean, and welcoming at the front. You walked in and you felt it was almost like a hotel. There was a front desk area, and then there was a sitting area. It was all very nicely appointed. All the things that we used, like the elevators, they all worked well. If I had to say a negative, it would be the length of the hallways. There were maybe 3 floors and long wings down each hall. The person who gave us the tour was knowledgeable, very upbeat, and very energetic. We liked her very much. She gave us material about the place. Without any hesitation, she answered every question we had.

Everybody in Harmony at Independence was friendly. The memory care place was clean, and I think they had all the facilities that my wife would need. They had entertainment, and they did the meals for you. They got a restaurant. The physical appearance of the facility was great. I had met some of the staff and some of the residents, too, and they all seemed happy.

Harmony at Independence was very nice. They didn't have any apartments available at the time, but we were able to see one and it was very nice and very well done. I was astonished that the apartments were so large. Everything there went very well. The director was very nice, very cordial, and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed our tour very much. The facility was very nice, very cozy, and very homey. We did have lunch and it was very good and very tasty. The activities that were going on were very nice. They were having some kind of craft show in one room and then they were watching a movie in another. But everything was very nicely done. There were a lot of things to do. There was a puzzle room where if you want to do puzzles, you can go in and do that. And the movie theater, I was impressed with that.

My mom moved in at Harmony at Independence this month. We chose it, first of all, because of the price. Second, the staff was very helpful. They explained everything. They laid out the contracts, the prices, and the floor plans. They told us exactly what was included in the price. The facility itself was absolutely gorgeous. The residents were kind, inviting, and very welcoming to my mother. She feels very comfortable there. I had a meal, and it was very good. I had a huge piece of chicken and some green beans that were wonderfully seasoned. A salad went along with it and some nice iced tea. My mother really likes the food there. I think she also likes the fact that she doesn't have to cook it herself, and that makes a big difference. The food looks healthy. They offer a good variety. It's not high gourmet stuff, but it's good healthy food. I noticed a musician there. They have bingo and church services, but Mom hasn't participated in the activities yet. I participated in Ice Cream Sandwich Day, and that was a lot of fun. I think a lot of residents participated in that activity, and they enjoyed it. They have been so accommodating and so helpful. They make sure that my mom is comfortable and well taken care of. If she ever needs anything, she just needs to go downstairs or call the front desk. They take good care of her. Everything is neat, clean, and beautifully decorated. The check-in desk has clean and dirty pens. You don't have to use the same old pen to sign in. They're taking good care of mom's apartment. They come in and clean her apartment every week. Mom is really happy there. They try to get her involved in activities. If she has any issues, they're always there to address any issues she may have, which have been rare. I think they're an excellent value for the money. They've got everything my mom needs right there.

We toured Harmony at Independence. Their apartments were beautiful. It had a more modern feeling, it was spacious, it had a full kitchen area. The staff member was very informative, she was really nice. Very well-maintained, it was a gorgeous building. Amenities were the same as the other place we went to, three meals a day, a tremendous amount of activities, and the grounds were really well kept. The meals offered sounded really fantastic, and it was really well-maintained, nice looking apartments.

We did a tour of Harmony at Independence. What we saw were just normal apartments, but you can move over to assisted living, but there's one side of it that's still independent living. It's a very nice and beautiful place. The staff was very friendly. We saw a few residents around and all of them seemed to be very happy. Everybody was welcoming. We had a chance to have lunch there, and the food was good. They have a lot of activities and a big calendar of things for seniors to do. It's very pricey, but I think all of them are. We were just a little taken aback by how much senior care costs. I think that's something that everyone needs to prepare for. But all in all, everything that they offer and what they have in place there, was certainly worth the cost because of the peace of mind that your parents would be somewhere very safe, quiet, and peaceful. I would say that's a good thing. Their staff is very knowledgeable, and I haven't run into anyone that isn't very knowledgeable about senior care. They were able to tell us things that their building offered and doesn't offer. They have a gym and a pool, things like that. They have one big meeting hall that they had like church services, lectures, and things on. They had everything. Once a week or something, they had in home movies. The seniors didn't have to leave that complex, so their amenities were very nice. My mom was very impressed with the food. The building itself was nice looking, neat, and clean. I didn't see anything that was untoward.

I liked Harmony at Independence a lot. It was very pleasant. I liked Kim who took me around. It was a very pleasant experience. It's on my list of considerations. The rooms looked beautiful. I met mostly with Kim and she was very, very pleasant and very helpful. They had a gym, conference rooms, and activity rooms. I didn't taste any of the food, but it looked like a nice menu. It was a restaurant-style setting.

My dad will be moving into Harmony at Independence. The cost is a little bit better, and it's very close to my house. The community looked nice, clean, and bright. We only saw one person, and she was very nice and helpful. His room, in particular, is a studio, so it's very small. I don't like that about it. The community itself seems very active, and there's not a bunch of people sitting in the hallways that look like they're sick. It just seems like a positive place. I saw the dining room, and that was nice. They have a little bar area, where they have a happy hour three days a week. That was pretty nice. They have a physical therapy room. The only thing I think negative is they're very limited on their parking for guests.

We visited Harmony at Independence two years ago. They had a theater, beauty salon, computer room, library, and activity buses that they could take the residents out to doctor's appointments and shopping. Everybody was just great, and everybody we interviewed with was wonderful. We also had a meal there, and it was great. They staff was very nice, very accommodating, professional, courteous, and helpful. The facility was wonderful, too. It was very new, in great shape, and well-maintained.

My mother will be moving into Harmony at Independence. We liked the people, we liked the way it looked, it was new, and they had a balcony. It was kind of perfect for her. The room we saw was large, very airy, and light. There's a lot of light coming in. They offer a movie theater. They have a place where you can go to get PT. They also have a gym, a list of things to do, a long list of events, they do a happy hour three days a week, and movies three days a week. The staff has been very helpful. Generally, overall, the number of events, socialization, the way it was laid out, just about everything was perfect. We would recommend it for anyone.

I saw Harmony at Independence. We do like that place a lot, it's just that it was farther from our home. It was wonderful, it was absolutely wonderful. It's been some time, but everybody was kind, and the place was great. This was right before COVID, so we had a good experience. My mother really likes it. The people were welcoming, she saw that they had happy hour, activities, game rooms, and the dinner area. The food looked good. It was just a nice atmosphere. The lady showing us around was lovely.

We visited Harmony at Independence. It was really nice, and it was really strict with COVID. They were thorough, and there were quite a few amenities for their assisted living residents. However, the prices were a little steep.

Harmony at Independence was really nice, but it was higher than the amount we are looking to pay. I felt the person who toured us around was a little bit pushy. They had studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. They showed the common rooms, a social area, and the dining room. Everyone was very nice. The food we had was OK. It was very tall and for my specific needs, needing to go up and down less would be ideal, but it was very clean.

The woman I met at Harmony at Independence was terrific and very knowledgeable. The place was clean, very well kept and very nice. The problem is they were unable to assist my husband with meals, and they said the only thing they could do is cut them up small. They do arts and crafts, movies and music. The rooms were average and were just bedrooms, not a studio nor an apartment.

Extremely pretty and very nice, but none of the apartments in the interior were available. The ones available were along the city road without balconies and out of our price range. The buildings were beautiful and relatively new. The lady was very nice, very knowledgeable, and extremely friendly. The residents looked happy and fine. The dining area looked fine with several dining rooms available. They had movie nights, game nights, and games during the day.

They understand the business they're in. It's a very attractive property. There's plenty of parking and chairs to sit on if you needed to outside the front door and by all the elevators. They have an active community going on. Two of the residents greeted me when I was there. The friendliness of the residents made the place the nicest one. The staff was very nice.

It was very high class and enormous. It was the most expensive of the places we visited. Everybody was nice. There was not as much hustle and bustle going on. It was quiet. They had a salon and a workout area, which I was not impressed with. I thought with such a good place, they could have had more. They had independent living. The staff did very well. It had a more reserved and more formal feel to it.

My visit was excellent. Their dining area has table linens and silver, it was gorgeous. The food was extraordinary and the rooms are great. There's a kitchenette, bedroom, and a living room that are very spacious, and a good-sized bathroom that has access to the shower.

Seemed kind of in the middle of things that they need or they could easily get transportation to without getting in the hubbub of things. They had attention to detail and they didn't have dust, dirt or grime buildup. It's one of those places where it's clean and healthy enough to be happy. It's a really new location and it hasn't been open that long so it's in really good condition.
