"I loved Royal Retreat. I just couldn't afford it. I looked at a studio and it was nice, but they have a waiting list. The staff was very nice. They had a dining area, a library, and a gym. The place was very clean. I didn't see anyone doing any activity. I just saw the room for the activity."

"I liked Heritage at Irene Woods. I like the building and everything. The apartment was nice. I would have everything that I needed there. They were just too expensive for one thing and I couldn't afford that. They have a TV room, a game room, and a church. The staff was great. Cleanliness was also great. You can tell if they're clean because they come and clean your room twice a week or twice a month."

"It was the best place that you would want your loved one to be in. They had phenomenal art hanging on the walls. The place was nice and clean. As soon as I entered, it didn't even feel like an assisted living place. They had the place set up just like you're on your own. The residents could go anywhere in the building. They even had a bar for them to sit at just like they are at a restaurant. They had all types of activities. They had a salon where the females could go get their hair done. They also had a nail technician there, so they could get their nails done. The staff that I met when I toured the place was very nice. Not only did they make their residents feel comfortable, but they made the family feel comfortable as well. When you go there and they're eating, the family that comes to visit is also welcome to eat. They have a professional chef that cooks for them and they have waiters. They'll come to the table, get your order, and serve your food."

"I toured. I like the room, and the atmosphere seems to be OK. They told me they got a private dining room if you want to have friends, and they do the laundry if you want them to. They have three meals a day, and they have a nurse on duty 24 hours a day. They clean the room once a week. They take you to the doctors if you need to go, and they take you shopping sometimes; it's OK. I've known about this place for a long time, since they built it, and I know people that have lived there. They were happy with it."

"My sister has moved into Foxbridge. It's a nice, homey place, and it's very clean. The staff is great. The food is seasoned right and my sister loves it. It tastes right, and it's good food. At this time, I think the activities are not enough, but the facilities are great. They have a salon and a courtyard. Anything you want is right in Bartlett. You got shopping, you have food, you have almost anything you want in that area, so it's a good location. It's the best one for my sister's needs."

"I've toured and the place was very clean. The staff was very friendly and very informative. If we had decided to go ahead and put her in one, that's definitely where she would have been. They had a little library, and they had physical therapy. They have doctors who visit twice a week, so if the patient needed to see one, they didn't have to go out. The doctor would come, and they could see them there. That was one of the selling points. That way they don't always have to get out to go to a doctor. The meals were included, and if they didn't want to eat that food, they would have a place to order something else. They normally have that besides their scheduled meals, so if the patient didn't want to eat the big meals, they could get a sandwich or something to go."

"The young man that I met at The Goldton At Southaven was very professional. I loved the place and I loved the atmosphere. The amenities were very wonderful. The rooms were very nice and very decorated, and it felt very homey. The staff was very nice and very caring."

"Village at Germantown is a great place. My father is very happy there. Out of all the places we've looked at, their staff is a notch above everybody else. The dining facility is excellent. It's a top-rated facility. "

"The Pointe at Kirby Gate is a nice place. The people are nice. They take care of my mom, and they keep an eye on her. She gets three meals a day. They make sure her room stays clean. They keep up with her. It is working out fine. She has been there for three months now. She is in an apartment. They have a courtyard, they have different activities during the day, and they have some special on Fridays that they do, so it is nice. They keep them busy."

"I would love to live at Kirby Pines, but I can't afford it. It's like a city with massive grounds. It had every kind of amenity you could think of. It's a large place with a lot of freedom. It goes from independent all the way to an Alzheimer's unit and skilled nursing. I saw the library, computer room, beauty shop, snack bar, dining room, and theater room. They have Cadillac and bus transportation for their doctor appointments and shopping trips. They've got it all. They have massive lobby areas and places to do puzzles and games. However, it's a buy-in. They have apartments all the way to independent housing. The grounds are wonderful. It's like paradise."
