"The rooms are spacious. The building is not too big so it's comfortable for the residents to get familiar with the building. It's a home feeling when you walk in. Residents are not locked in one hallway or a separate sections, it's a whole memory care community."

"Greenwich Farms at Warwick was a very nice place. Everybody was very nice. It was very clean. The deluxe studio has a little kitchenette, so it gives you enough room. It's my first choice. People went out of their way to open the door up for you and to be very pleasant. When I came, they had a sign welcoming me with my name on it. Twice I went there and at both times, they gave me a loaf of bread. Everybody was hospitable. They give you quite a variety of food. If you want to modify it somewhat, you can do that. They have so many choices if you want to substitute something other than what they're having. You can mix it up too. The food was very good and I'm a very picky eater. I attended bingo and I saw some of the activities that they had. They also have a little pub there. I would not be escorted to the lunchroom. They do the laundry for people, but I would do my own laundry except for the linens. They do the linens and they clean everybody's apartment."

"We toured Anchor Bay at Pocasset for my mom. If my mom could afford it, that's where she would be going. It was very clean. It did not have an odor to it. The room was nice and a decent size for what she needed. They were very helpful. My mom is a diabetic, so I expressed my concern for her food. They said they had different options she could choose from, and if I had any concerns, I could go over it with them. I have an aunt that has been living in Anchor Bay at Pocasset for 30 years now, and she said the place is wonderful. From what they showed us, it looked like they had good selections of activities for people to do."

"I toured Atria Bay Spring Village and liked everything, like the dining hall. I liked the fact that there were other amenities inside the building. They had exercise classes close to the bike path. It's very clean. The floorplans were very nice. They're roomy enough, and the bathrooms were very good."

"I was able to visit Capitol Ridge at Providence. It was on par with the other place I toured, the amenities there were great, and close to everything. The problem that I had was it was too far for my mother to travel, so she wanted to be closer to home. The overall tour was wonderful, the staff was wonderful, very knowledgeable, on-point with all that they were doing, and very attentive. They had a gym, they had a church, and they had awesome food set up. They had all kinds of activities on and on and on."

"My sister was there a few weeks recuperating from a fall at home. Everyone there were so passionate and caring. She had a beautiful room , she enjoyed all the meals that were served and had many social activities to join in if she was interested. She was very happy there and we were so relieved to have her being taken care of until she felt better to return home. "

"Anchor Bay at East Providence is a little more modern than where Mom is. One of the drawbacks for me is that, depending on the time of day, it's going to be a half hour and 45 minutes to get there. The staff was great, particularly the people showing me around and talking about all the things that they provide. The facilities were very nice and new. I would have chosen this one if it was the closest one to me. They were just a little bit more expensive, maybe $1500 a month more expensive."

"I visited Smithfield Woods Senior Living and toured their assisted living facility for my friend. I like the sense of community and friendliness there. The staff members were extremely knowledgeable and very patient in answering my multitude of questions. The rooms, even though my friend will be having the smaller-sized room, are adequate. It's enough to fit a little seating area plus the bed, has a kitchenette, and the bathroom is a nice big size. I'm very pleased with it."

"My brother-in-law has moved into The Highlands on the East Side. It's very good. We liked it because it was the most affordable. We also liked it because it was nice and small. He has trouble walking, so it was nice and easy for him to navigate. Upkeep and maintenance seem fine so far. The staff has been very good. They have community areas and a dining area. It's not as fancy as the others, but perfectly adequate for his needs. He participates in the activities. He's very social, so that works out well. He's been doing Jeopardy, some of the game shows, bingo, and things like that, nothing very strenuous. It's not the highest-end place ever, but it fits his needs. We're happy with that. The food is OK."

"I went to see Wingate Residences on Blackstone Boulevard. It was a big high-rise building, so it was tough to get from place to place in the building. It was very big but it had everything. My biggest problem with this place was that it was pricey. The staff was great, they were wonderful. They had everything you can imagine there and more, they had a salon, they had a gym, they had massages, and they had all kinds of stuff. In terms of location, everything is there."

"I toured Brookdale South Bay (RI). It's mostly a nice community and the staff is great. They were all very kind and helpful. The food was good. Amenities were comfortable. It was like home. They have a salon. They don't have a gym. I was a little disappointed in that."

"Atria Aquidneck Place was a little bit farther away from home but still very close. It's on the island here, but it was about $3,000 more expensive than where mom is, and I could see it in the facilities and the things that they did. It was very high-end and it would have exhausted the funds that we had for paying for this facility. It is incredible inside, but it's not a five in terms of cost. The staff seemed great, and I got to meet various members; t wasn't just the person showing me around. They were fantastic. They had a restaurant area and kitchen, and it smelled good. It was fancier than some of the restaurants I ate at. The apartments were more expensive, but they were very nice. The common areas were beautiful. It was like living in a mansion with lots of friends. They have multiple floors."

"My brother has been at Atria for several years. He considers Atria his home. He loves the food and he feels safe there. Staff is always pleasant to him."
