"My Mom just had hip replacement at age 75. Not a real good 75. Care at Golden Crest was awesome. Nurses, CNA's and Therapists were all unbelievably kind and caring. Owner of the facility was on sight. Takes the time to speak with the residents and asks them questions about their stay. Of course my Mom being Italian complained about some of the food being a little unflavorful but that was it. Fantastic experience, very very pleased"

"My wife is now at Lincolnwood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. It's been pretty good, so I can't complain. She eats the food, so it must be good. The staff is very good. They play music and they play games and stuff."

"This place is horrible the staff is horrible and rude and don’t care. They treat my parents horrible In this place and I will like this place to be shut down. They hire staff that don’t care about the patients and only care about a paycheck. I don’t recommend anyone put their loved ones in this horrible dirty facility. Im gonna keep praying that this place closes down as I find a better facility to put my parents in. The managers and supervisors should be ashamed of themselves and I can not wait to hear back from someone to let them know how bad their staff and facility is! "

"My husband is doing very well in Berkshire Place. I liked the nursing staff, they're very good with the care of the residents there. He is on the first floor. If a person has problems with behavior issues, as he did at the time, they will go into the first floor. It is just a secure area for them. They are treated very well. I like the fact that they also do arts and crafts and they do all these different things with them, like bingo after lunch and things like that. They have a lot of good activities for them to keep them occupied. The food is very, very good. The residents like the food coming from the kitchen, and they enjoy that. The nursing staff is very pleasant as well."

"Saint Elizabeth Court is a wonderful, clean facility with good food and kind and caring staff. My mom, who has dementia couldn't be happier there! She has lived there for three years now and has made many good friends. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place to take good care of their loved one! "

"Steere House Rehab was an amazing facility for short term care! Sharon in PT and her team are simply awesome! So very dedicated and committed to the patient! The CNA staff is outstanding especially Charmainne, Moses and Amy! Always so positive with a smile, nothing is too small for their attention! If you need short term rehab I recommend Steere House Rehab as exemplary! "

"My mother was a resident for 1 month.She went there for rehab ,after 1 month stay at Miriam Hosp.She really liked the people who were there to help her return to her old self & to us.The staff was always courteous & helpful. She enjoyed the meals.They pushed her to regain her mobility & she made beautiful progress but we lost her Aug.2.She was 86 & very active bedore an infection took over & no antibiotics seemed to help. I would recommend this facility to everyone. They are very nice,compassionate people who care. "

"Tockwotton on the Waterfront has a wonderful location, and beautiful buildings, and the staff was very nice there. The thing I didn't like there was that it was double the price of every other place I saw. The place itself was great. I only met the staff member who gave the tour. They have everything you could want there or nearby. They had a workout room, a library, a theater room, they didn't have a set chapel so they just use the main meeting room for not only art and music but they also use that for the masses. It's a very clean place."

"We chose Scandinavian Communities Assisted Living for my parents because it was a combination of assisted living and nursing. Our experience with them so far has been really good. They've taken excellent care of my parents, so we have no complaints at this time. The food was very good, they have chefs that make the food with fresh meat, fresh vegetables, and fresh everything. The residents have games they play, they do puzzles, they paint, they have two people that play the piano in the afternoons, music sessions, and so on. The staff is excellent. Some of them are from my father's previous community so it worked out beautifully. The activities are excellent, they have a bowling day, they go out to eat with no charge, they take the residents on picnics, and there are lots of things going on for the assisted living people. The price is expensive, but it's comparable to all the other places we checked. It's an older building, but the interior is super clean and well kept-up."

"My friend went to Summit Commons, and it was atrocious. It was so bad that I put a complaint with the state. The place was not clean, and the food was inedible. If I didn’t go there and change the bed, wash him, and take care of him, it didn't get done. They didn't even change the bed. The only good thing about the place was the rehab. "

"We chose Jeanne Jugan Residence Home for my father, and he's very happy there. They have van trips for ice cream and they look at scenery. They also have bingo, religious things like daily mass and rosary every day, and they also have a coffee shop. He has also gone to work in their little Sundry shop, where they have little items for $1.25, like toothpaste and so on. He also goes to exercise classes a couple times a week, and they have a piano player who comes in weekly. They have a restaurant day once a month where a local restaurant caters the meals at noontime, and sometimes it's a food truck. The staff manages my father's meds and takes his blood pressure. His floor has a little kitchen where you can prepare something, and they put muffins and coffee out for the residents or juice."
