My mother was in First Community Village for four years. It's a beautiful place. It's very expensive, but the people were very nice. It just ended up it was on the other side of town, and I needed her closer to me. It wasn't a place that was gonna work for her growing needs. The food was more restaurant style. I was struggling a little bit with her meals there. Independent living there was gonna be harder. I needed her to have more services, that's why we moved her. It's expensive because you have to do a buy-in to get your space. We got just a very small percentage of it back, so that's kind of a big bummer with that place. They had lots of activities and she did participate in many of them. They had crossword puzzles, happy hour, and music. She was in an apartment.
