My mother in law was here for a respite stay while we were on vacation. Her room was nice, staff members were so friendly and accomodating. My mother in law was safe, taken care of and enjoyed all of the social interaction while we were on vacation. Her apartment was right by the fitness room and had a balcony overlooking mature trees / landscaping. 10/10 recommend.

About The Lodge Retirement Community in Cincinnati, Ohio
WHO WE ARE:
The Lodge Retirement Community has been serving seniors in Symmes Township, Loveland, Mason, Blue Ash, and Greater Cincinnati since 1986. We are conveniently located at Montgomery Rd. & Union Cemetery Road with easy access to I-71 and I-275. We are family-owned and operated by Caring Place Healthcare Group, which represents three generations of family members and over 50 years in senior living and skilled nursing facilities here in Cincinnati. Our owners are regularly in our community almost weekly to ensure our residents receive consistency in services and nothing but the best!
Our building offers Independent and Assisted Living apartments. Our campus provides skilled nursing services just steps away from our main building.
We boast staff longevity with many of our team members with us 15-30 years. We have received awards from U.S. News & World Report for Best Retirement Community, deficiency-free health surveys from the State of Ohio… but when it comes down to what you, our potential residents, and family members want to know, is that our reputation speaks louder than any awards. We may not be the new shinny kid on the block ~ we’re better! What we are is a well-oiled, well-maintained machine and well-known for our excellence in all areas of serving our senior residents.
That reputation is backed by generations of family members who have resided here – grandparents may have lived here and now their children and relatives are living here. That says a lot about who we are.
WHAT WE’RE KNOWN FOR:
Let’s start with our dining program - many facilities say they have great food but we put our money where our mouth is. Our chef is a professional chef with extensive experience in pleasing taste buds. Not only that, but he selects our menu based on what our residents want to be served and then some. The culinary team goes beyond serving exceptional meals such as Filet Mignon with fresh asparagus, fried scallops, beef stew, stuffed chicken breast with gravy, and more - in our beautiful towering atrium dining room with lifelike trees, waterfalls, and a wall of windows.
Next is our attention to our residents from every team member in our building. This pandemic has brought us closer together as a team, filling in where needed and above all…making sure our residents are taken care of at all times.
WHY LIVE AT THE LODGE RETIREMENT COMMUNITY:
I think we’ve given you a lot of reasons above, but there are many more.
Our grounds offer a tranquil pond with waterfalls and a gazebo for relaxing or socializing. Our apartments back up to heavily treed surroundings offering privacy and peacefulness. Our residents are truly the best and many new, cherished relationships have begun at The Lodge Retirement Community. We are considered a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) with skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and memory care on campus at The Lodge Nursing & Rehab Center, so those occasional life ailments are addressed immediately by our attentive staff without having to transport to a different facility. However, we have on-site home health and a nurse available 24/7. Our Helping Hands program provides assistance when you need it, for as long as you need it. Contact us for a list of services.
It’s more important than ever to stay fit and live without restrictions. That is the goal of our NEW! ON-SITE WELLNESS CENTER to help promote an increase in physical activity, balance, and fall prevention as well as help lessen pain symptoms.
Our apartment rates are some of the lowest in town- Pricing is all-inclusive: rent, meals, housekeeping, cable, utilities, transportation, activities, security, and more...making us one of the best values in town!

I toured The Lodge Retirement Community, but I didn't stay long because I was not impressed. The building was very dated. The main lobby area looked like it had just been recently renovated. The hallways to the residents' rooms were very dingy. The lighting was not all that great. The carpeting looked like it needed to be replaced. The rooms were small and not very appealing. The place needed to be renovated, and they needed to improve on the lighting in the hallways.

The staff at The Lodge Retirement Community seemed nice. It's a little bit more dated than all of the places we went to. The room size was comfortable. I saw a calendar of activities. They have decent grounds. They have a nice deck overlooking a pond and there's a patio. It was a pretty active community.

I visited The Lodge Retirement Community. They let me in. Most time you can't go in, you have to restructure your visits, and because of the COVID thing it's been kind of difficult. It's a nice place, but it's $4,000 - $4500 a month, and my mom can't afford that. The tour was very good. We didn't try the food. The facility was clean. We just dealt with one person. She was very nice and very informative. The rooms are nice sized, good, and clean. Overall, the whole thing is a nice layout, it's just everything is so shutdown, so it's kinda really hard to get a good opinion of anything right now. It is spacious. It has a large dining room and separate areas. They had big areas for crafty stuff, and they've had a lot of opportunities for them, like sitting areas and stuff like that. They have just about anything you need if you wanna pay for it. They didn't have a pool. They had a gym.

We visited The Lodge Retirement Community. They have independent living and that's what we were looking for, but since then we changed our mind, sold our house, are packing, and bought a condo. I guess we are not ready for senior living yet. The staff there were helpful, they showed us what we wanted to look at. Like I said, we were only interested at the independent at the moment, and they had a unit open and we went and looked at it. It was fine; a typical two-bedroom unit. Everything was there. We did not have any problems with it other than the cost. The staff was helpful and answered all my questions. The room was as big as the condo we just bought. It had a Jack and Jill connecting bathrooms to the two bedrooms and then another quest bathroom. It was nice. It's an older facility, but they keep it updated, and so it was nice.

My mother spent five years in Independent living and a year and a half in Assisted living at the Lodge before passing away in her sleep recently. Her experiences there were uniformly good. Having visited many facilities that were much more pricey I was pleased that my mother was getting equal care and nearly the same high level of food and activities as these more expensive places. In the language of Consumers Reports the Lodge is a "Best Buy".

The Lodge Retirement Community was too expensive and there was no garage. It was very nice, but no garage was absolutely a deal breaker. The house looked great. The staff we met was wonderful.

I liked The Lodge Retirement Community. I think it's very nice. I also like that it's close to our neighborhood church, so a lot of people visit The Lodge to bring communion to the residents. I thought it needed a little more room for activities, but the rooms, the setup, and the food are all very nice. Plus, the price is really reasonable compared to the other newer places. However, they didn't have as many things as some newer places offer. They have a bus service that takes the residents to the grocery stores and they also have activities, a small salon, and an exercise room. The staff seemed very pleasant and nice.

The Lodge was beautiful and had a homey atmosphere. The location was convenient for us, the rooms were bigger than the one in our current community, and it had two bathrooms. They had a place where I can garden, they had activities to do, and they have a bus to take us places like the grocery store and shopping. Their menu isn't as extensive as the place where we're at, but we cook a lot in our room so it's fine.
Totally pleased daughter

After my mother fractured her hip and did her rehabilitation at the Lodge, she needed to move due to mobility issues. She has been at the Lodge for almost 2 years and is very happy there. The staff are always so helpful and kind. They care about the residents like family. Lots of activities to choose from everyday and the meals are fresh and delicious. The facility is very clean, decorated with the feeling of warmth and peacefulness. The independent living rooms are like apartments are spacious and ready for your furnishings and personal touch. Fully secure facility. I feel comfortable having my mom there knowing she is getting the care and security she needs and deserves.

The staff is very friendly and very caring towards the residents. They treat the residents with respect. The whole community is very lively and very active. There are also a lot of activities planned frequently. The meals are all prepared in house and are catered to the dietary needs of each individual. The rooms are bare, but they have a view of the courtyard and the pond that was built there. Most of the residents do not need special medical attention or a full time nurse.

We put my mother in the Lodge last dec. She was diagnosed with liver failure (NASH). We had to sell her house and all her belongings and put her in a nursing home for six months rehabbing and then we were able to get her into assisted living at the Lodge. Everyone there is wonderful they can't do enough. Their diningroom is beautiful and the food is great, I eat dinner with her every wednesday and they are just so nice and they have all their staff in the diningroom in black and white, it's so professional looking. They are so caring I love the place and our mother loves it there. She has nothing but great things to say about her apartment at the Lodge and the service and attention she recieves from the nurses and staff. They have so many activities, day trips and entertainment going on the residents can always keep busy if they want. It's a great place to spend your final years.
