"The staff were awesome, they went above and beyond to make sure my needs were met"

"My husband was in The Lodge at Mills River. I think their therapists there were excellent and couldn't be beat. The accommodations are beautiful, and I think they're trying to make it special for people, like if somebody has a birthday they go out of their way, having a special event for them, or like Father's Day they have steaks and baked potatoes. They really helped them a lot. It's extremely well-kept and really clean. It's kind of the palace of some of the nursing homes around here, just because the building itself was well designed. They have little pantries and stuff where people can go in and get snacks or coffee or whatever, and they're accommodating to visitors too. We had a friend that came over about lunchtime and they offered him something to drink. It's kind of that special touch that makes it just a pleasant experience to be there. The physical layout sits on several acres of land. You know, it's just a very pretty area."

"I also liked Beystone and that's where I will send my mom if she ever gets bedridden and start feeling downhill. They have good food, good care. It's a smaller facility, there are only 50 beds but I've heard really good things about them. It's warm, friendly, cozy, clean, and attentive. The interior was clean and comfortably and nicely updated. The exterior looked a little sad like a 1960s architecture building so it wasn't real great to look at on the outside but on the inside, it was good. My husband just ran into somebody whose loved one is at Beystone and they loved it. The staff was very friendly. The admissions person wasn't in so the director took me around and stayed in touch with me and was available on his cell phone. They were very accommodating to move mom right over there from the hospital. They weren't as big, they weren't as polished and they didn't have the garden but they're not as big and facility-like feeling. "

"I had to place my mom recently and the staff was very helpful with getting her in.They take great care of her and keeps me informed on stuff with her. And if I have questions they work together to get answers "

"The staff work very hard to provide care for the patients at The Oaks At Sweeten Creek. I am speaking from experience I know that when my mother was in need of care at the hospital most would not consider her because she was Medicaid. Ginger came and visited with my Mother and gave me the opportunity to tour the facility and meet with the staff to ask any questions. My Mother is now a patient and she is actually happier than she has been in a long time she attends activities she goes to the dining room for meals for more socialization. Good care is not in the color of the paint on the walls or fancy furniture it is in the true hands on care from the staff at the facility level. You should give this facility an opportunity to care for your loved one. "

"This nursing home is a smaller one and it was a great experience for us as a family. We did not have to worry about our family member or wonder if they were really being taken care of here. The nurses were all so sweet to all of us and if we had a question about anything, they got answers for us quickly. They have a great rehab program that do exercises with the patients that they actually enjoy. We recommend this facility to others. "

"We called Flesher’s the “The Resort” for my mom. She was very happy there. The care there was very special. They have many caring staff. The place is very clean! I was on the Board for many years of another healthcare facility and I much preferred Flesher’s. Family owned by good people. "

"The staff at Deerfield Episcopal Retirement is very helpful. They made us feel welcome. We toured the rooms and the apartments. They seemed fine. They could be bigger. We ate at the dining room. The food was very good. I like the location. They have a whole community there. The town is also very interesting. The pricing was good and they also had adequate medical. The overall setting -- the whole area where it's set up and the community is very attractive. "

"I come daily to visit my Mom. The staff treat her very well and she is happy here. Its a bit run down and the food could be improved BUT overall the care is reasonable and reliable. They really care for my Mom and her well being. "

"this is a five star facility which has had two years of deficiency free surveys by the state of NC. The residents and their families seem to be happy with the services provided. For those who can, there are a number of activities morning and afteroon. There are two dining rooms, one for those who do not need assistance and one for those who do. Meals are also served in rooms if necessary. there is a very large patio in which residents are encourage to use as well as a comfortable front porch. There is a very nice family atmosphere that prevails in this facility and one which others could learn from. "

"While visiting this facility, we noticed that the patients here all seemed to be very active and vital. There were activities going on in three different rooms (or groups) and the dining room was full of other people visiting patients. The food looked pretty good and they were very quick about clearing the dishes from the rooms. The only issue I saw in the facility was that the visitors bathroom was out of hand soap, but when I told the front desk they immediately fixed the issue. "

"My husband stayed at CarePartners Rehabilitation Hospital. They were absolutely excellent. They have an excellent rehab facility. It's large. They have every piece of equipment that is needed for a thorough rehab. The staff was very good. The facility was well cared for. Cleanliness was excellent. They have a large fireplace room where people can visit with their families. The food was pretty good. I've been to some other things since, and they're nowhere near as good as that was."

"My mom is now in rehab in Asheville, North Carolina, called Stonecreek Health and Rehabilitation, and it looks like that's where she will be long-term. It's great. I highly recommend it in every way. She has been there for three weeks now. It's very good. The staff is very attentive. It's incredibly clean. They host workshops on how to maintain a facility in a very clean manner, and it's been quite a long time since they've had any Covid cases. It's very clean and bright, it isn't depressing to go there like some of the other places I toured. So, at this point I can only say good things about it, I know we're early on, but we'll see. The services are so far very, very good. It's very conveniently located in the heart of downtown Nashville. My mom likes the food a lot better than where she was for a couple of weeks before that. They have lots of activities that they offer to people."

"My husband was a resident at this facility in the short-term Rehab 2 different times. We found the staff very caring and attentive. The food was exceptinal for institutional dining. The patients were allowed to make their choice at each meal and then was served their food hot in the dining room. The facility was exceptionally clean and did not have that institutional odor. Management was actually visible out on the hall on a daily basis and I found them exceptionally easy to approach and helpful when I needed something. Sometimes, it is very difficult to make the decision to put your loved one in an instituation, but I would highly recommend Aston Park if you need this service. "
