We have come to love these wonderful folks and don’t believe you could find a better place for yourself or your loved one when you need serious care. "Pisgah Manor was a little crowded. They had single rooms, but most of them were doubles. They looked like hospital rooms. They each had their own bathroom attached. They had lots of ability to use the hoyer lift. There were hoyer lifts all over the place, which was important to us. The young woman who took us around didn't seem to interested in helping us out. So, it wasn't nearly as impressive as some of the others. It was a clean facility. They had good safety protocols that I could tell, but unlike the others, the people just didn't seem very happy. Their memory care residents were separated from their other residents (there were more residents there who needed memory care than regular care). They had a beautiful facility though. It was quite lovely. They didn't have much outdoor space. The staff person wasn't forthcoming. They didn't show us too many common areas."

"This facility is the greatest place I believe I have ever been in. Everyone that works at this facility is amazing. What stood out the most about this place is the love and compassion from everyone that works at the Yancey House. I have visited many facility assistant Living, nursing’s homes and none of them compared to this place. They care about all of the people in this home. They’re not too busy to stop and listen, give them a big hug, or tell them they love them. What a wonderful blessing too know that their is a amazing place like this to bring a member of your family and not worry about them. I seen this first hand from visiting my brother there. No matter how busy they are they take time with these people with so much love and kindness. From the office personnel to CNA’s To Med Tech's. I was there on first shift though 3rd shift and they all was the same loving caring and compassionate. So if anyone in doubt about the Yancey House In Burnsville N.C. This is like a no other place I have ever been into. I wished I could rate it a 100 I would! Because everyone that works there is #1 and will always be. "My mom is now in rehab in Asheville, North Carolina, called Stonecreek Health and Rehabilitation, and it looks like that's where she will be long-term. It's great. I highly recommend it in every way. She has been there for three weeks now. It's very good. The staff is very attentive. It's incredibly clean. They host workshops on how to maintain a facility in a very clean manner, and it's been quite a long time since they've had any Covid cases. It's very clean and bright, it isn't depressing to go there like some of the other places I toured. So, at this point I can only say good things about it, I know we're early on, but we'll see. The services are so far very, very good. It's very conveniently located in the heart of downtown Nashville. My mom likes the food a lot better than where she was for a couple of weeks before that. They have lots of activities that they offer to people."

"I went to Aston Park Health Care Center because they offer a respite care program, but they won't accept me, because I have a power chair. However, the lady there took me on a tour, discussed some of my needs, and gave me some good advice. Because I was not cognitively impaired or so physically impaired that I needed the medical care that they provide (they're also a rehabilitation center), she didn't recommend it for me. She thought that I would get easily bored and frustrated because there wouldn't be very much interaction with other people living there and they don't do many activities. They don't have a library, they don't have an activity room. Most of the people living there have disabilities that make it impossible for them to do that. They have both single and double bedrooms, but they look more like hospital rooms. It's a beautiful and well-kept place."

"My husband stayed at CarePartners Rehabilitation Hospital. They were absolutely excellent. They have an excellent rehab facility. It's large. They have every piece of equipment that is needed for a thorough rehab. The staff was very good. The facility was well cared for. Cleanliness was excellent. They have a large fireplace room where people can visit with their families. The food was pretty good. I've been to some other things since, and they're nowhere near as good as that was."

"My mother has been in and out of snfs for over a year. I WISH we had found this one first. Haven lived through nightmare facilities, I can honestly say my mom was in the cream of the crop when it comes to snfs. The rooms are relatively large and roomy. My mother had a wonderful view of the courtyard where we placed a bird feeder. My mother’s needs were met by staff that were genuinely vested in her mental and physical wellbeing. I absolutely have not one negative thing to say about this facility. The staff, from the receptionist to the cleaning staff were so welcoming and loving. The facility was so clean and spacious. I never saw a patient without a smile on their face. The pt/ot had my mom up and on the mend in no time. Absolutely recommend this facility!"

"Asheville health care center is a very clean facility, no odors. The staff are all friendly and willing to help. They go above and beyond their call of duty. Very good care all the way around. I highly recommend this facility for anyone seeking rehab or long term care!! "

"My husband is staying at the North Carolina State Veterans Home - Black Mountain. I like it because it's full of veterans, and he is a veteran. So, he doesn't have to wonder when he speaks to somebody about their background. He feels there's something in common already. I love that the hallways are so wide that you can see veterans in their wheelchairs going up and down and greeting each other. The room is huge and private. The bathroom is private. The shower is amazingly big. I think this place was built as a state-of-the-art facility for veterans, and I'm so happy my husband is in it. Every person I've met who's on staff has been friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I was so happy when I went there and met one of them, and they told me what was going on. They know their patients well. They serve three meals a day. They have a calendar of events. They have a 70s day, a Wild Hair day, and a Western day, and they barbecued outside. They do a lot of things that make it fun for residents."

"This is a great facility when you need some high-tech medical care for your loved ones. My family member had a serious head injury and we were referred to this facility. I could not be more pleased with the staff because they were so informed about the specialty of Neurology and explained things to us in a way that actually made sense to the layman! I definitely recommend this place to others. "
