"My mother was at the skilled nursing facility of The Waters of Johnson City. It was a really clean facility, and they were well-staffed. The thing I didn't like was that she was basically bedridden, but they charged me for physical therapy several times, which I questioned. After she had passed, when I paid her bill, they sent me a bill saying they had found an error on their end and wanted $1,200 more. This was sent to me just on a sheet of paper that didn't have a heading on it from them, and the envelope didn't have the return address. It was just a plain envelope, and I felt like that was kind of sketchy. Basically, they would feed my mom, bathe her, and change her clothes every day. Other than that, that was it. They just kind of set her in one of those wheelchair things, which I can't think of the correct name for. They didn't really work with her that much, since there wasn't really a lot you could do with her. The layout of the facility was really nice. They had a weight room, or workout room, a beauty shop, and a very nice dining hall. The facility itself was also very nice, and the building was fairly new. I personally didn't try their food, but the meals looked OK. It's like your typical hospital food I guess, but they seemed like they had a good variety of meals. For activities, they offered a lot of things, but my mother couldn't really participate. They're very expensive. They average around $350 to $400 per day. They could improve their communication with the family. I don't think they really communicated well, in my opinion."
