"The apartments at Brookdale Kingsport are bright, clean, cheerful, and big. My sister has a little kitchenette and a big walk-in closet. They have musical groups that come in, and they have activities like bingo and arts & crafts. I think the food is very good, and the portions are great. The nursing staff is fantastic, and communication is excellent. "

"American House Bristol was very clean and inviting and the staff was very kind and accommodating. I had a very good experience with the person I was with. He even went so far as to follow up with me after I had made my decision. They have a beauty salon. The dining area was also clean, well lit, and well organized, but I didn't see any food."

"I toured the American House Kingsport. Everything was just nice. The staff, they were all nice. Everything was clean. Everybody was nice and it was a nice atmosphere. The room was adequate. They have a courtyard."

"My mother moved into Oakmont, which seems to be a wonderful, well-run facility. They're wonderful. The staff has been very attentive, patient, and kind. She enjoys her interactions with the staff as much as she possibly could. She said the food is excellent."

"My grandmother is now in Princeton Transitional Care and Assisted Living, it's nice. It's newer, they offer 24-hour nursing care, and they do the meals. I liked it because it was all one price, while in a lot of places, it's like a la carte so there are a lot of different fees for different things that they do. And here, everything is already included like help with dressing, showers, and all of that stuff is all included in one price. It's not like where they'll suddenly start adding additional costs as they need additional care, so I like that option. They have different room options. She's in a studio apartment, so it's one big room and she has a nice-size bathroom that's handicap accessible, with a walk-in shower, and a nice built-in seat. And then it has a little kitchenette with almost a full-size refrigerator, they provide the refrigerator and a microwave. There's a lot of cabinet space and a little sink, it's a nice little kitchenette. All of them have windows looking either outside or into the courtyard. They also offer two rooms and stuff like that, but she's just in a studio. The staff has been very attentive and very helpful. When I call and check on her, I'll call the nurse's station, and I've always been able to get through to somebody every time I've called. The food smells and looks good but I haven't tried any of it. On Wednesday nights, they do wine and music, then they have a church service every Sunday, and they had a whole calendar of activities. They do things like cards and a lot of different stuff."

"We took a tour for my mother-in-law. It was very bright, and welcoming, it is a very nice facility. I loved that there was a courtyard that they could walk in and out comfortably, and not worry that they would wander because it was enclosed. She has a little dog, and she could have taken her dog out to use the bathroom easily and got back to her room easily. We wouldn't have to worry that she would be walking outside, and no one knew where she would be. The person who assisted us was delightful. The place was very clean. It was very warm and inviting. There were lots of bright windows, lots of nice colors, and it smelled fresh. It was very nice."

"My brother was in Life Care Center of Gray. The rooms were very nice and clean. The atmosphere was very nice. The staff was very nice. I would recommend it because they are really nice. It is a clean facility. The staff that work there are caring people. The food wasn't all that great. "

"The main reason why I chose this facility is because they provide rehabilitation service and therapy 7 days a week. And I'm really impressed with their therapist. They are really nice and take good care of my mom. We were looking forward that she'll be out of the facility in 2 weeks time since she is improving every day. I'll definitely recommend this center for those people as well who are looking for rehabilitation service. "

"I toured Governor's Bend Retirement and Assisted Living. I like it. It is pristine. The exterior is beautiful as well as the interior. It's very welcoming and very clean. The staff was very nice, very informative, and very helpful. The room is spacious, and it looks like it is going to be very comfortable. It has a kitchenette, a bathroom, and a little sitting area. At the time that I went there, there wasn't any activity. Nothing was going on with the residents. I saw a couple of them, and they were sitting in the lobby area reading, but that was it. There's a beautiful lawn outside. They have a beauty salon, an activities room, a physical therapy room, and the dining room is very nice."

"My mother is at The Blake at Kingsport and they're a very caring and loving community. It's beautiful and has lots of activities and opportunities for the residents. They have a very hardworking and friendly staff. We're very, very, very pleased with them. The food is good."

"My aunt moved into Family Ministries Retirement & Assisted Living. Their representative was most helpful. Some of the promises made were not done. The staff is very friendly, but the least thing is that it's understaffed. They did the best they can do with the food. They have games, crafts, and things like that. We were hoping for more of a homey atmosphere; it's more industrial or hospital type. Things were not delivered that was promised."

"I was welcomed warmly when I arrived. The atmosphere was very pleasant.The staff was very helpful and knowledgable about all areas in which I had questions. The location is excellent just a 2-3 minute drive from Indian Path Medical Center and a 5-7 minute drive from Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. The exterior view was wonderous as it is set off the highway and surrounded by the beauty that only tennessee has to offer. The interior area was equally nice. I feel comfortable that when the time finally comes for my mom to have to give up complete independance that this is where she will go to. After driving around and looking at other facilities this is by far one of the top in the area. My mom and I sat down and discussed what I had seen and she is comfortable in my judgement of this establishment. My mom says that when the time comes would love to be a resident here. "

"My mother is in Preston Place in her own separate living quarters. Everybody is really nice and friendly. They have all kinds of activities throughout the day. They help with her bathing three times a week, do the laundry, clean the apartments, and make the bed. They have their own beauty shop there. We are allowed to eat with her if we pay a little bit out of our pocket. Everything I eat with her is delicious. They bring the food to the table, and if they do not like it, they will get them something different. Her room has a little living room, a kitchenette, a bedroom, and bath. "

"We have our mother at Asbury. The staff is excellent. Mom is in an apartment. It is very clean and spacious. The food is excellent. The dining area is very clean, spacious, very well laid out, and very nice. I like everything in this facility, from the staff to the cleanliness to where it is located. It is easy to get to, and there's no hassle. "
