"The apartments at Brookdale Kingsport are bright, clean, cheerful, and big. My sister has a little kitchenette and a big walk-in closet. They have musical groups that come in, and they have activities like bingo and arts & crafts. I think the food is very good, and the portions are great. The nursing staff is fantastic, and communication is excellent. "

The dining area is very clean, spacious, very well laid out, and very nice. I like everything in this facility, from the staff to the cleanliness to where it is located. It is easy to get to, and there's no hassle."

"American House Bristol was very clean and inviting and the staff was very kind and accommodating. I had a very good experience with the person I was with. He even went so far as to follow up with me after I had made my decision. They have a beauty salon. The dining area was also clean, well lit, and well organized, but I didn't see any food."

"My wife's cousin moved to American House Kingsport. It's a little small room, but it accommodates an individual. They have bingo. They have gospel singing. They have bluegrass music. They have a church. There's just something going on all the time."

"Brookdale Bristol was a nice place, very friendly, and very clean. The staff that I met during the tour seemed to be caring. They had laundry facilities, a gym, a salon, and a recreation room."

"My mother moved into Oakmont, which seems to be a wonderful, well-run facility. They're wonderful. The staff has been very attentive, patient, and kind. She enjoys her interactions with the staff as much as she possibly could. She said the food is excellent."

"I took a tour here and the staff were great, kind and very helpful. The residents were having so much fun playing bingo when I arrived. I had a great visit with the cook and she seemed to really care about my specific concerns. The staff in the dementia care were so sweet and loving. They answered all my questions and made me feel like I was family already. I loved the art they had on display that the residents had made in their memory care wing. They were making wind chimes with them, I was so glad to have seen that I think momma would enjoy it. The executive director and Sales lady were so kind and offered me lunch and even though I kept them a while they were glad to help. It’s hard to place your parents into a home and leave but I believe that momma will have the best care here and it eases my mind. "

"My grandmother is now in Princeton Transitional Care and Assisted Living, it's nice. It's newer, they offer 24-hour nursing care, and they do the meals. I liked it because it was all one price, while in a lot of places, it's like a la carte so there are a lot of different fees for different things that they do. And here, everything is already included like help with dressing, showers, and all of that stuff is all included in one price. It's not like where they'll suddenly start adding additional costs as they need additional care, so I like that option. They have different room options. She's in a studio apartment, so it's one big room and she has a nice-size bathroom that's handicap accessible, with a walk-in shower, and a nice built-in seat. And then it has a little kitchenette with almost a full-size refrigerator, they provide the refrigerator and a microwave. There's a lot of cabinet space and a little sink, it's a nice little kitchenette. All of them have windows looking either outside or into the courtyard. They also offer two rooms and stuff like that, but she's just in a studio. The staff has been very attentive and very helpful. When I call and check on her, I'll call the nurse's station, and I've always been able to get through to somebody every time I've called. The food smells and looks good but I haven't tried any of it. On Wednesday nights, they do wine and music, then they have a church service every Sunday, and they had a whole calendar of activities. They do things like cards and a lot of different stuff."

"We took a tour for my mother-in-law. It was very bright, and welcoming, it is a very nice facility. I loved that there was a courtyard that they could walk in and out comfortably, and not worry that they would wander because it was enclosed. She has a little dog, and she could have taken her dog out to use the bathroom easily and got back to her room easily. We wouldn't have to worry that she would be walking outside, and no one knew where she would be. The person who assisted us was delightful. The place was very clean. It was very warm and inviting. There were lots of bright windows, lots of nice colors, and it smelled fresh. It was very nice."

"The entire staff, from the Administrator to the nursing staff, we're so wonderful to me and my family while Daddy was there. Although the building is a bit aged, it always seemed like they were taking steps to improve it, as the Maintenance guys were always doing an upgrade to something. I cannot express how grateful I am for all of the love, care and generosity they showed Daddy all the way until his last breath. Thank you all and God bless!!!"

"The main reason why I chose this facility is because they provide rehabilitation service and therapy 7 days a week. And I'm really impressed with their therapist. They are really nice and take good care of my mom. We were looking forward that she'll be out of the facility in 2 weeks time since she is improving every day. I'll definitely recommend this center for those people as well who are looking for rehabilitation service. "

"I toured Governor's Bend Retirement and Assisted Living. I like it. It is pristine. The exterior is beautiful as well as the interior. It's very welcoming and very clean. The staff was very nice, very informative, and very helpful. The room is spacious, and it looks like it is going to be very comfortable. It has a kitchenette, a bathroom, and a little sitting area. At the time that I went there, there wasn't any activity. Nothing was going on with the residents. I saw a couple of them, and they were sitting in the lobby area reading, but that was it. There's a beautiful lawn outside. They have a beauty salon, an activities room, a physical therapy room, and the dining room is very nice."

"My mother is at The Blake at Kingsport and they're a very caring and loving community. It's beautiful and has lots of activities and opportunities for the residents. They have a very hardworking and friendly staff. We're very, very, very pleased with them. The food is good."

"My aunt moved into Family Ministries Retirement & Assisted Living. Their representative was most helpful. Some of the promises made were not done. The staff is very friendly, but the least thing is that it's understaffed. They did the best they can do with the food. They have games, crafts, and things like that. We were hoping for more of a homey atmosphere; it's more industrial or hospital type. Things were not delivered that was promised."
