"It was beautiful. It was a new and very clean place. We liked it. It was a little bit at the upper end of my mom's budget, and so financially, it would not have worked for her. They have a studio, a one-bedroom, and a two-bedroom. The one-bedroom has a good layout, but the living room was extremely tiny. There was no room for a kitchen table and hardly any for living room furniture. They had a pool table, a card table, and a common area for TV. We saw the spa, an activities room, and the fitness room too. We went up to the balcony and they got a fireplace with a pretty and overlooking view. So, that was very, very nice."

"We loved TownView Senior Living, but it's independent living. It's marvelous. It's beautiful. We liked the security there. It's very clean. They've got wonderful amenities. They have an ice cream parlor. They have laundry rooms on every floor, but the residents do their own laundry. You have to have a permission from your doctor to live there independently. Everyone was friendly and the residents were friendly. There were lots of spacious sitting areas and activities. They had a woodworking room. They just remodeled."

"We visited Colonial Hill. The staff showed us one of the apartments. For us, it was too small. The staff was fine. They have a lot of activities. They have day trips, they play cards, and they do crafts. "

"I liked the ratio of staff to patient in Governor’s Bend, and the staff is phenomenal. It’s only about 3 years old, and the building is beautiful. My aunt is very much a church goer, and it’s Christian based; they have a bible study and things that she really enjoys. The food is excellent, and I’ve never met a staff that isn’t caring, nice, and just really on the ball all the time. "

"We came across Ashbury Place through our Parkinson’s disease support group, which meets there once a month, and the staff was fantastic, very accommodating. They had a meeting room and gave us refreshments, coffee, and whatever we wanted. I don’t have any complaints about anything, and as far as I know my husband doesn’t, as he is the one with Parkinson’s. "

"Covington Senior Living (Lehi) Memory Care was hands down the best decision we made for where our sweet mom could have lived!! She passed away a year ago today, so this is a tribute to mom, and those who loved her and cared for her outside of family. Covington staff became "family" to me. They treated my mom and me with love and respect! They gave me peace of mind. I was the only family by mom in all of Utah, so this was extremely touching and helpful to me. We were looking for a facility that was large enough to have a variety of residents and activities, but small enough that it didn't seem overwhelming to our mom. Size is important for a person with dementia. The layout for the memory care was very important so it didn't seem overwhelming to her, but big enough that she had space and room for activities. It needed to look like a home environment, with nice natural light and access to the outside courtyard for fresh air and exercise. We looked for a place that had a door that would have the top half opened so she could be checked on, yet the bottom half closed for her privacy, and to make sure other residents didn't wander in. Our mom was quite high functioning, and so we wanted to have a place for her that there were several others that were similar to her physically and mentally. And Covington had that. The staff was amazing!! They were so very kind and very knowledgeable on how to care for memory care residents. Every single one of them smiled and genuinely cared. The facility is simply beautiful!! And so clean! The food was also very good. There is simply not one thing I would have changed. I would HIGHLY recommend this facility to anyone that wants their loved one to feel comfortable, and for the family members to be able to have the assurance that excellent care and stimulation will be given. I really do understand how hard it is to put your parent into a facility, so having quality people be there for your loved one will give you the peace of mind you seek. You will feel that you don't have to do this journey all by yourself. And you don't."
