"My grandmother was first admitted on the rehab side after suffering a long bout with pneumonia and bronchitis. She improved somewhat, but really needed 24 hour care that we were unable to provide at home. With her not wanting anyone in her home that she did not know, our only option was an assisted living facility. She was moved to the skilled side several months after arriving at NHC and was there for over 2 years. The nursing staff treated her very well and kept the family informed of progress or the need for hospitalizations when needed. She always spoke highly of her nursing staff and her roommate. When she passed away, the staff that normally worked with her did come to the funeral. The care and compassion that the staff showed far exceeded my expectations. "

"I really like Lakebridge, A Waters Community for someone who is looking for full care. That was really a positive. I got a tour of the whole facility, and that's a plus if you don't have an appointment because I just went in to get information. They offered a full tour, and that's good when they don't know you're coming. Everything was clean. I liked everything about the place. They recommended that I go to memory care because my mom still walks well, and she just needs redirection and all those kinds of things. I was taken into a few rooms there. They had some private rooms, but they had more double rooms, and I was more interested in a private room if possible. The staff members were very good. I was with three different ones there and it was all a really good experience. I didn't eat any food, but everything looked good. It seemed like there would be things that my mother would really like. She's pretty easy to please, but I was happy with what I saw."

"My brother was in Life Care Center of Gray. The rooms were very nice and clean. The atmosphere was very nice. The staff was very nice. I would recommend it because they are really nice. It is a clean facility. The staff that work there are caring people. The food wasn't all that great. "

"My mom is at The Waters of Bristol. The room is very nice. It has a fake fireplace. It is very nice, clean and everything. She has a private room. They have a recreation room with games and stuff. I also know they have a very nice dining area. My mom has been there for a couple of weeks now, and she has Medicare helping her with that right now."

"While i had visited Roan Highlands Nursing Home there was soe ups and downs but no matter what facility you go to theres always going to be promblems there. One of the things i really liked was the residents some were young,old,walking and others in wheelchairs also some residents were very with it and the others not as much. The residents there seemed to really like there home and i relized well this is there only home and some of the people and staff that come and visit them have no family and the residents that dosent have any family thinks the staff and vistors is their families and thats how it should be, i was pleased to see the residents treated like they were very well taking care of. Although there was some staff that wasnt the best with the residents and some staff that are lazy and dose not want to help the residents when they truely need help and if you are like me I know for a fact that i would want my mother or father wel taking care of considering, that i couldn't always be there with them 24/7 and that staff could. The restrooms there was extremely clean the rooms were as well i even noticed how nice and clean the shower rooms were. where the staff gave residents baths and showers. One good thing is that they have codes on doors so that the residents can not leave the facility without a staff member or a family member and thats very important because where the facility is located is right beside the road abnd if a rest got out of the facility they could easliy be hurt.It Also some residents there do have arm braclets to wear thatt wonder that way if they do get out of the facility the alarm goes off and staff is immediatly looking for the resident to return them back into the facilty safely.One day if I do Have to put my parents ina nursing home i will most certainly consider Roan Highlands as a choice to where I know My family member will be very well taken care. "

"Although not as upscale as an assisted living facility, this nursing home impressed me tremendously. My father would visit weekly to pastor to the elderly, who enjoyed it thoroughly. When I went with him, they always seemed happy, cheerful, and it took away the "nursing home" feeling that I usually get when entering such a place. The atmosphere makes up for any nursing home label that can be put on the Cambridge House. "

"Four Oaks center in Jonesborough impressed me tremendously. I walked into this building during a B2B sales job - and I was completely unaware that this building was any type of elderly care center. The building was immaculate and well-kept, and the staff were very friendly. The front desk clerk bought a Domino's Pizza coupon booklet from me to use for the guests when they ordered pizza on weekends. "

"The staff were very helpful and friendly at the Bristol Nursing Home. I am a contract caregiver who visited this facility on behalf of a former patient's family, and I was very impressed with the staff members' attentiveness and friendliness as I interacted with my client. Although the facility may not be an ideal place for an elderly and sick person, the staff make up for it by turning it into a positive experience with food, attention, and just sitting to talk with the clients - which most places don't do. "The facility was clean, and there appeared to be plenty of staff. However we visited around 11:30 am and my grandmothers bed pan had not been changed that morning. She had also informed us that she had ask to brush her teeth at 9 am, they told her they would be right back to help her with that. Yet at 11:30 they still had not returned. A few days after we had gotten a call saying that they had to take her back to the hospital because they had lifted her out of her chair and broke her arm and cracked 3 of her ribs. She did have bone cancer so I understand her bones were easy to break. However a facility of this nature should have been better equipped to handle someone with that condition. "

"Erwin Health is an older place. It is setup like a hospital; there’s no carpet and no soft chairs, but it is much more sanitary. They have to be what they called toileted, and they can handle it here at Erwin. They know how to do it. Almost every single day, they have people volunteer to come in and play music, guitars, and sing. Periodically, they have the TV on, but they don’t have more movies on. "

"I have never resided in a nursing home before. Right off the bat I knew I was home. I was made to feel comfortable & at home. My room was wonderful, clean and spacious. The staff are fantastic , I feel loved. We enjoy an array of entertainment. All the way from Elvis to corn hole. There is a variety of stores and banks nearby. "

"Covington Senior Living of Lehi is new and very nice. They offer senior living and various levels of assisted living in the same facility. They have nice rooms with different options and sizes you can choose from. They have a nice dining room, a nice shared area, places where you can play games and watch TV, and an exercise facility. The one lady I met was nice, informative, and helpful."
