"My mom is at NHC Healthcare, Kingsport. The rehab facility is great. The staff members are very caring, and they take very good care of their patients. My mom loves their food. For activities, I've only seen bingo. They can go out in the courtyard. My mom is non-mobile right now, so she's not able to take advantage of that. With regards to cleanliness, they are amazing. In terms of location, it's near a hospital and restaurants."

"My Mother has been a resident of The Wexford House in Kingsport for almost 3 years now. The staff for the most part are great!!! She maybe has had ONE UTI while there, which is commendable for a 95 year old bed ridden resident. I actually begged for Mom to be accepted there, I feel if she wasn't living there she wouldn't have had a chance where she was living (facility) for a few days. I couldn't recommend Wexford enough from the employees, to the cleanliness, to the care levels, I'm more than happy and I'm very confidant with them."

"I've only been to Crown Cypress Assisted Living on a small tour. My mother-in-law hasn't moved in yet. She will move in two weeks. I like everything about it. There is nothing negative at all. All the residents were hanging out together outside in the fresh air, chatting and laughing. They had coffee and snacks out for them to go get to whenever they wanted to. They had an activities director that was walking around all day making sure people were not just hiding in their bedroom. They were out participating in and socializing and whatnot. The people there really helped me with finding Medicaid options, and they offered to help with furniture if we needed it, and they have just been nothing but amazingly helpful. They have a very full snack station that the residents could go-to for coffee, sodas, cakes, chips, and whatever they wanted to. Everything was clean. There wasn't any dust anywhere like the other places that I had gone. Outside was tended beautifully. Where the residents were sitting was nicely landscaped. Even though they're right there in this hugely busy intersection, they're hidden off behind an apartment complex, and it's nice and quiet with all the trees and shrubs, so you can't even see the busy road, highway, and whatnot."

"I'm moving into Asbury Place. I have a beautiful porch that opens up, and it's convenient to everything, too. The staff members were very helpful. I have a one-bedroom apartment. They offer four different rooms. They have a library, parking, and garages, and they provide food, too. Once you're in there, you can go wherever you want. They're good."

"My mother lived at Nova (Weber City) for 7 years, she recently passed. Staff are excellent and took such good care of her. She thought of them as family and they treated her as such. They provide resident activities as Covid permits , Church services several times a week and outdoor activity as weather permits. I highly recommend them. I had outside providers (Dr's and nurses) tell me what good care she was getting when we had to visit their offices. "

"My mother-in-law moved to Life Care Center of Gray. From my experience, the nurses have been very nice and helpful. She's in the memory care unit. They have a good security barcode entry to the door. So, no one can accidentally wander out or any of that. They gave us a code so we could visit and everything. The places are in great shape. There are no complaints there. They have it laid out like a long hallway with all their rooms. At the front, most of the residents hang out in the dining room, with plenty of tables, and they have another room that's kind of like a game room, TV room, and all that. My mother-in-law has made good friends with one already. I think the only thing that can be improved is cleanliness. The bathrooms could be cleaned a little more often or better. The staff, they've seemed very good with the residents, they've been very helpful, very patient, and they've been very great with us. They answered our questions and took the time. They inventory everything, keep a log of all that, describing everything and, not just rushing through it."

"My family member was at Church Hill for almost 4 months. She had what I consider excellent care while she was there. They food is home cooking and the cheesecake was great. I watched my mother go from unable to get out of the bed to now being able to walk again and live independently again at home. The staff is very supportive and caring and relied on us for help build her plans so she could get back on her feet and home safe. If we ever have to go back to a skilled nursing care I hope they have a bed at Church Hill. "

"My mom is a resident of The Waters of Bristol. It's one of the nicest nursing homes I've ever been in. They have very good workers there. They seem very caring. They've been very patient with our mom, which is very important, just the whole facility is very nice. We feel like they are meeting all her needs. It makes us feel good to know there are caring people there and they can take care of her when she isn't with us or when we're not with her. It's shared, she has a roommate. She also has a nice fireplace there. They have activities every day. They also have a hair salon inside."

"My father was at this facility after suffering a major stroke and I couldn't have asked for better care that what he got here. The nursing staff were so good to him and treated him with such kindness and respect, yet were very professional at the same time. And the therapist had such patience with him and worked at his speed to get him back into shape. And they didn't treat him like a child with the work they did which was a problem he had before. They were just wonderful to him. The food was very good which was also a big surprise and the facility itself was very beautiful. I will always recommend NHC Johnson City to my family and friends because in my book it's the best around. And as a former caregiver and having seen a lot of different facilities I feel it is the best in the area hands down. "

"My grandmother is now in Princeton Transitional Care and Assisted Living, it's nice. It's newer, they offer 24-hour nursing care, and they do the meals. I liked it because it was all one price, while in a lot of places, it's like a la carte so there are a lot of different fees for different things that they do. And here, everything is already included like help with dressing, showers, and all of that stuff is all included in one price. It's not like where they'll suddenly start adding additional costs as they need additional care, so I like that option. They have different room options. She's in a studio apartment, so it's one big room and she has a nice-size bathroom that's handicap accessible, with a walk-in shower, and a nice built-in seat. And then it has a little kitchenette with almost a full-size refrigerator, they provide the refrigerator and a microwave. There's a lot of cabinet space and a little sink, it's a nice little kitchenette. All of them have windows looking either outside or into the courtyard. They also offer two rooms and stuff like that, but she's just in a studio. The staff has been very attentive and very helpful. When I call and check on her, I'll call the nurse's station, and I've always been able to get through to somebody every time I've called. The food smells and looks good but I haven't tried any of it. On Wednesday nights, they do wine and music, then they have a church service every Sunday, and they had a whole calendar of activities. They do things like cards and a lot of different stuff."

"I have had a few family member in facilities for rehab or end of life care, and Four Oaks is by far the best. My grandmother, aunt and father to name a few have all been at Four Oaks and received excellent care and was treated as part of the employees own family. I actually moved my father from a different facility to Four Oaks because of the get people and care there. Everyone seems to care about what they do from housekeeping to administration. When a concern is brought up, it is handled. I don't have to worry. Thank you all at Four Oaks Healthcare!"

"I really like Lakebridge, A Waters Community for someone who is looking for full care. That was really a positive. I got a tour of the whole facility, and that's a plus if you don't have an appointment because I just went in to get information. They offered a full tour, and that's good when they don't know you're coming. Everything was clean. I liked everything about the place. They recommended that I go to memory care because my mom still walks well, and she just needs redirection and all those kinds of things. I was taken into a few rooms there. They had some private rooms, but they had more double rooms, and I was more interested in a private room if possible. The staff members were very good. I was with three different ones there and it was all a really good experience. I didn't eat any food, but everything looked good. It seemed like there would be things that my mother would really like. She's pretty easy to please, but I was happy with what I saw."

"The staff were very helpful and friendly at the Bristol Nursing Home. I am a contract caregiver who visited this facility on behalf of a former patient's family, and I was very impressed with the staff members' attentiveness and friendliness as I interacted with my client. Although the facility may not be an ideal place for an elderly and sick person, the staff make up for it by turning it into a positive experience with food, attention, and just sitting to talk with the clients - which most places don't do. "The place probably needs a little face lift, but otherwise, NHC Healthcare is great. My mom has adjusted very well, and the staff is very good. She gets a room, and they also manage her medications. There is a doctor on staff that occasionally drops by to see her, and they also have activities planned on a daily basis; she takes advantage of all of this. The place is clean. She is happy. There's a beauty shop, and she gets her hair fixed once a week. They have a common area and a wide screen TV. "

"Although not as upscale as an assisted living facility, this nursing home impressed me tremendously. My father would visit weekly to pastor to the elderly, who enjoyed it thoroughly. When I went with him, they always seemed happy, cheerful, and it took away the "nursing home" feeling that I usually get when entering such a place. The atmosphere makes up for any nursing home label that can be put on the Cambridge House. "

"My mother was a resident for 7 years. My brother and I could not be more pleased with the care she received. She had a very painful illness and she wonderful nurses worked with me to formulate a plan for her. They include family in decisions. They fed her every meal. If I needed to be in a nursing home I would choose Ridgecrest Manor. For anyone on the fence you can feel assured if you choose Ridgecrest."
