"My mother spent 6 weeks at Holston Manor rehabilitating from a fall. All the staff were caring and professional. I can't say enough about the nurses and therapists who were so patient with my mother, especially during her irritational, not so pleasant moods! Thank You! "

"I went to several places. A couple of people I knew had loved ones in Wexford House so I decided to give it a try. My brother's been there for three weeks now. It's pretty close so it will be easy to visit him. It's very clean, everybody's friendly. My brother's in a room with a roommate. He gets three meals a day and he's well taken care of. He was unhappy because he had gone into a nursing room, but he seems to like the people around him. He likes his roommate. My brother is very handicapped and he does not speak up when he needs help and everything. It would be good for them to check on him more often. "

"This facility has locations all over the Tri-cities area. I visited one of the locations in Kingsport and found it to be an above average facility. Each member of the facility seemed to be a team player and communicated well with one another. In their physical therapy department you could watch the therapists taking care of the patients and rooting for them. There were always activities for the residents and participation was encouraged but not forced. Security was also of utmost concern - there were alarms on wandering patients that would go off when they were near doors or trying to get up out of their wheelchair. This is so important for the saftey of the residents and helps prevent countless accidents. "

"My mother lived at Nova (Weber City) for 7 years, she recently passed. Staff are excellent and took such good care of her. She thought of them as family and they treated her as such. They provide resident activities as Covid permits , Church services several times a week and outdoor activity as weather permits. I highly recommend them. I had outside providers (Dr's and nurses) tell me what good care she was getting when we had to visit their offices. "

"Life Care Center of Gray is a very warm facility. They seem very caring. The caregivers seem very concerned. The physical therapists, and the CNA are the only ones I’ve seen interacting with my husband. The physical therapists do everything they can to speed up his recovery so he can go to the assisted living. I feel that they are working very hard, and they are very concerned about him. "

"My family member was at Church Hill for almost 4 months. She had what I consider excellent care while she was there. They food is home cooking and the cheesecake was great. I watched my mother go from unable to get out of the bed to now being able to walk again and live independently again at home. The staff is very supportive and caring and relied on us for help build her plans so she could get back on her feet and home safe. If we ever have to go back to a skilled nursing care I hope they have a bed at Church Hill. "

"My aunt moved into The Waters of Bristol. We have been able to get in touch with the nursing manager, the head therapist, and the discharge planner. Any time we need to, they've been responsive. They are excellent at sending out notifications and voice messages when there is any change in the visitation due to COVID. We've been very happy with their handling of COVID, how careful they are about screening people who come into the building, making changes when necessary, and then notifying all the interested parties. They are very caring, kind, and professional when doing their work. They do a good job. They have common areas, outside areas, and a nice dining room."

"I have had several good friends and people I consider family in this facility. I have never seen or had a care issue that the staff did not diligently try to correct. Is this facility perfect? Hardly. Do they provide the best care provided by loving and caring staff? You better believe it! This facility is clean and your nose knows as soon as you walk through the door. The food is good. However, best part of this is facility are the people who love, care and provide for the patients. "

"My grandmother is now in Princeton Transitional Care and Assisted Living, it's nice. It's newer, they offer 24-hour nursing care, and they do the meals. I liked it because it was all one price, while in a lot of places, it's like a la carte so there are a lot of different fees for different things that they do. And here, everything is already included like help with dressing, showers, and all of that stuff is all included in one price. It's not like where they'll suddenly start adding additional costs as they need additional care, so I like that option. They have different room options. She's in a studio apartment, so it's one big room and she has a nice-size bathroom that's handicap accessible, with a walk-in shower, and a nice built-in seat. And then it has a little kitchenette with almost a full-size refrigerator, they provide the refrigerator and a microwave. There's a lot of cabinet space and a little sink, it's a nice little kitchenette. All of them have windows looking either outside or into the courtyard. They also offer two rooms and stuff like that, but she's just in a studio. The staff has been very attentive and very helpful. When I call and check on her, I'll call the nurse's station, and I've always been able to get through to somebody every time I've called. The food smells and looks good but I haven't tried any of it. On Wednesday nights, they do wine and music, then they have a church service every Sunday, and they had a whole calendar of activities. They do things like cards and a lot of different stuff."

"I have had a few family member in facilities for rehab or end of life care, and Four Oaks is by far the best. My grandmother, aunt and father to name a few have all been at Four Oaks and received excellent care and was treated as part of the employees own family. I actually moved my father from a different facility to Four Oaks because of the get people and care there. Everyone seems to care about what they do from housekeeping to administration. When a concern is brought up, it is handled. I don't have to worry. Thank you all at Four Oaks Healthcare!"

"The staff were very helpful and friendly at the Bristol Nursing Home. I am a contract caregiver who visited this facility on behalf of a former patient's family, and I was very impressed with the staff members' attentiveness and friendliness as I interacted with my client. Although the facility may not be an ideal place for an elderly and sick person, the staff make up for it by turning it into a positive experience with food, attention, and just sitting to talk with the clients - which most places don't do. "The place probably needs a little face lift, but otherwise, NHC Healthcare is great. My mom has adjusted very well, and the staff is very good. She gets a room, and they also manage her medications. There is a doctor on staff that occasionally drops by to see her, and they also have activities planned on a daily basis; she takes advantage of all of this. The place is clean. She is happy. There's a beauty shop, and she gets her hair fixed once a week. They have a common area and a wide screen TV. "

"Although not as upscale as an assisted living facility, this nursing home impressed me tremendously. My father would visit weekly to pastor to the elderly, who enjoyed it thoroughly. When I went with him, they always seemed happy, cheerful, and it took away the "nursing home" feeling that I usually get when entering such a place. The atmosphere makes up for any nursing home label that can be put on the Cambridge House. "

Made the transition in to the facility very easy. The facility has an outside area for residents to go sit on the porch and get fresh air and sunshine. The scenery is breathtaking, very beautiful mountain views. The food is excellent, with large portions. "

"I'm currently at Hillview Health Center for rehab. It is a very nice facility. The upkeep is very, very good. The rooms are nice. They have a little gym at the top area here for the rehab part, and it's very nice and up-to-date. They decorate very nicely. Like right now, they decorate for the autumn and also specifically some little Halloween stuff, and they do a super job of it. They have a wonderful staff, from top to bottom. They're very, very patient-oriented and they are largely hometown staff from here in Elizabethton and the surrounding areas. Most patients are from this area, so they have a great rapport with the patients. They are very caring people. When you request assistance for anything, they're right on it. They do a nice job and they are very professional. The nursing staff is very professional, as are the doctors. And the CNAs are very well trained and they do a great job. Food is just like typical institutional food and it's not going to be like dining out in a restaurant. Upstairs, they have more of a permanent population. So, they have activities every day for those folks. I'd participate a couple of times a week when they have a little group exercise thing."

"I toured Hermitage Health and Rehabilitation for my mom. It was a much newer facility than many I've seen. I think that the physical appearance of the place, outside especially, was more attractive than your average place. It is also in a very good location. It's up on a steep hill, so, in wintertime, and you want to go visit somebody there, you need to know how to drive in winter conditions and on a steep hill. Nonetheless, I think it's a very nice place for the residents. Now, the only potential downside or potential negative is that I noticed it was extremely crowded. I just felt like they had a lot of patients. When I visited, it was a time for them to be out socializing and not be in their rooms, so the hallways were full of people. When my mom was moved out of rehab and into long-term care without having applied for Medicaid yet, they kind of stopped helping. I wasn't happy with that. When they thought they were going to have my mom as a resident, they were very nice and very helpful. But when she got moved out of rehab up in the place where she is now in Kentucky, that made it impossible to transfer here under Medicare. And so they just kind of dropped it. They said there's nothing they can do. And I was hoping they'd have been more helpful. The place is not brand new, but it looked new and it looked nice and clean."
