I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother lived at Nova (Weber City) for 7 years, she recently passed. Staff are excellent and took such good care of her. She thought of them as family and they treated her as such. They provide resident activities as Covid permits , Church services several times a week and outdoor activity as weather permits. I highly recommend them. I had outside providers (Dr's and nurses) tell me what good care she was getting when we had to visit their offices.

We chose it because it was close. But after a few days seen the staff was not friendly. Room was clean but some staff sprayed air freshener because of the urine smell. Residents in the hall started coughing from the smell. Employees always looked sad so I wondered if they enjoyed their job are if it was just a pay check to them.

We Love Nova. My 96 year old Mom is at Nova and we are extremely pleased. It has the best rehab in the area. The LPN's are some of the best . I have been involved in other nursing homes, assisted living facilities and therapist for the past 25 years with other family members. Mom was in another one across the state line and I removed her after 6 weeks. Nova cares. The nurses go beyond the call of duty. The CNA's are excellent. They are there because they care about the residents. The activity director is engaging and the laundry, the cleaners, maintenance are also friendly and ready to help. It is our hometown nursing home and lots of us know many residents and they all say positive things about their stay. I am there twice a day so I can honestly say I am more than pleased. Thank you, Nova.

I'm not really wild about Nova Health & Rehab Center. We chose it because of our insurance and because my grandfather is full assist, so it was the only choice we had. The staff is overworked, underpaid, and stressed out. They don't have enough people, and there's heavy workload for them. The staff is a hit and miss. Some are good, and some are not. His room is good and the dining area is nice, but it's a very sad atmosphere. They have a great activities director, but she has no assistant. There are at least 30 people on one side, not counting the rehab part. Unfortunately, she has her hands full.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My stepfather stayed at Nova. There was a social services worker there who couldn't get any better. Anything that I asked of her, she delivered. She walked the halls, and she'd speak to everybody. She was so helpful and had a great attitude. The rest of the people didn't smile. I generally can get a smile or a laugh out of everybody I come across, but I could not get anything out of those people. They were just going through the motions. The facility was very nice, but they didn't have a courtyard. The lobby was well-furnished, and they have a lounge. All the furnishings were very nice, however, the people weren't, except for that social worker. There was an overwhelming smell of urine as well.
