Just looking and planning ahead, we were very impressed with Amanda’s presentation. We took a complete tour of the Village and at no time felt pressured or “being sold”. She answered every question and introduced us to everyone we met. A very active community, indeed.

Like many seniors transitioning from a house to apartment-style independent living, the move took some adjustment. Fortunately, the welcoming atmosphere and caring staff made that transition much easier. Before long, she felt at home and became part of a vibrant community. The staff is what truly sets this community apart. They are consistently kind, compassionate, and professional, treating every resident with dignity and respect. They take the time to get to know the residents personally, creating an environment where everyone feels valued and cared for. It gives our family great peace of mind knowing my mom is surrounded by people who genuinely care about her well-being. The community itself is beautiful, clean, and exceptionally well maintained. The common areas are warm and inviting, making it a pleasant place for both residents and visiting family members. The dining experience has also continued to improve over the years. Management has been receptive to resident feedback and has made meaningful changes based on their suggestions. After three years, I can confidently recommend Independence Village by StoryPoint to anyone looking for an independent living community for a loved one. The caring staff, beautiful facilities, engaging lifestyle, and commitment to resident satisfaction have made it a wonderful place for my mom to call home, and our family is truly grateful.

I've been visiting friends at Independence for more than 6 months and must say that in my humble opinion this is one of the best facilities in East Tennessee. Pay special attention to the director of activities, Noah. He makes the residents have joyful days. Ava runs it all and that Independence has a very good administrator will soon be obvious when you visit!

I'll be moving here as soon as something opens up. They are relatively full now. After I saw it, which was the first one I saw, I didn't even go to others because I fell in love with it. It was looking out onto the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was so beautiful. The staff and the people themselves were very friendly. When they came by, they said hello. It was not standoffish at all, so I did like that. As far as I'm concerned, the apartments were small. I come from an eight-room house. I have lived there for 60 years and I got a lot of junk, so I have to get rid of all of it. You have to rent a storage space. I did go to something called a Fifties Night with my son and daughter-in-law. It was an evening where you listen to some fifties music. I complained a little bit because my favorite songs which were at the beginning of the fifties before I went to college, they didn't do, so I requested them and they did. Everybody had a good time. People got up and danced and it was a lovely late afternoon in June. I looked at other things and they were comparable to what I had looked at in New Jersey, but New Jersey was just too far away. They had a beauty parlor within the building you could go to. The building was very new. I wasn't bowled over by what I had that night, but that's always hard when you're they're trying to feed so many people.

I went to look at this facility. The people that I dealt with were very helpful, even with things that I did not even think about asking. Everything there seemed to fit our needs. The staff was outstanding. They were having a 50s party when we went there.
