My aunt moved into Family Ministries Retirement & Assisted Living. Their representative was most helpful. Some of the promises made were not done. The staff is very friendly, but the least thing is that it's understaffed. They did the best they can do with the food. They have games, crafts, and things like that. We were hoping for more of a homey atmosphere; it's more industrial or hospital type. Things were not delivered that was promised.

My husband stayed at John M. Reed Center. They had 20 assisted living people upstairs and a few downstairs. They only had seven memory care people. We liked it because it was quiet and not crowded, but it was not as clean as I would like. Some of the workers were very caring and some of them weren't. When the director of nursing changed, they got rid of some of them. They have a better staff now than they did. The food most of the time was very good. They would work with you based on what you liked. They had a good variety and they also had snacks. The food was nourishing, but I didn't think they overfed them or wasted a lot of food. They gave my husband a good amount, but not too much. They provided activities and they had groups that came in. They had an atrium where they could go out, there were games that they could play, and they had religious services for them.
