I visited this facility

I went to Oakmont at Gordon Park. The price was way higher than everybody else. That's what I did not like. But everything about it was wonderful. It's beautiful inside and out. They appear to take very good care of their residents. They were discussing memory care and sharing of rooms and stuff like that. So, I just didn't understand, how can you have two demented people in just one room. It's a sad thing. It's very hard to do and it's sad, but they made it very easy to talk to them and ask questions.

My father-in-law has moved into Oakmont at Gordon Park. The appearance is very nice. It's got plenty of room in it and it's very nice. As all of them are understaffed, they do the best they can do, and so far, we have been satisfied. The dining area is always a mess. It's usually dirty, but they try to clean it after everybody has eaten. These patients, just drop a lot of food on the floor, and they try to do the best they can. He is on pureed food, so that doesn't look very appetizing anyway. But from what I have seen, it looks appetizing. I've never tried it. A couple of times, somebody has been there trying to play some kind of game with them. They have a library, and they've got a little room with a fake kitchen set up, just a fake little area to cook. I've never seen anybody in there, but they do have it.

I visited this facility

The lady that conducted the tour at Oakmont at Gordon Park was exceptional. She was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. She knew her stuff and was very helpful. She said to me, "Even if you don't choose to be here, I'm a wealth of knowledge and I've been doing this for a very long time, so if you have questions and you seem to be running into roadblocks, please call me and I will help you anyway.", which I thought was outstanding. Not too many people would say that, so that was amazing about her. The exterior of the building, the courtyards, and the grounds were gorgeous. The activity room with a big fireplace and the common rooms were just beautiful too. You could tell by the exterior and the common areas that it was being well maintained, and she said that they're in the process of fixing things and that it's a never-ending process. They had just finished replacing the carpet in one room, while another room just finished steam-cleaning the carpet in it. The only drawback was there were damages caused by the wheelchairs around the door frames, and you could see where the spackling was in process. Both rooms had these damages and instead of doing something to fix it in a way that would prevent any more damage, they just painted over it, which I get, because it's expensive to replace all those things. It's just they have a different mindset on how to go on doing repairs, and I would do it differently than how they're doing it. It's more on the preference. I would rather replace the whole piece or do a splice cut. So, what they do is not necessarily wrong, just different. However, I'm sure there has to be a way to protect the door frames from those damages.

We visited Oakmont at Gordon Park yesterday. We met with Angie, she was very informative, very helpful, the tour was really nice, and the place was really nice. There was a library, an arts room, and they had a movie room where they could sit and watch TV, and socialize. They had a nice outdoor socializing facility.

I toured Oakmont at Gordon Park, and looked at their assisted living level. I found the place to be nice, very pleasant and clean and had a pleasant atmosphere. The staff member who assisted me was very responsive, did a very good job, and appeared to have our interest in mind so I'm pleased. The living atmosphere also seemed to be very nice. It's single level, it looked very nice and there are courtyards. They offer several different things for the residents to do based on their needs. The rooms that I saw also appeared to be very nice, I saw a single room which seemed to be well taken care of and clean. I saw a very nice dining area which was like a restaurant. They have plenty of activities and you can choose whether or not to take it.

Oakmont at Gordon Park was very nice. They were informative, helpful, and gave us some insight. The place itself had lots of light and beautiful, secure courtyards with large porches surrounding it. The rooms were very nice and the bathroom was very accommodating for a wheelchair. They had arts and crafts, gardening, bingo, and scheduled activities.

My mother moved into Oakmont, which seems to be a wonderful, well-run facility. They're wonderful. The staff has been very attentive, patient, and kind. She enjoys her interactions with the staff as much as she possibly could. She said the food is excellent.

I chose Oakmont at Gordon Park for my wife. Her room is very nice. Things are clean and very roomy and the community seems to be very well managed. I’ve not become very familiar with a lot of the staff, but they seem to be fine, and my wife seems to be thriving under their care. I did not expect her to live very long but she seems to be doing better than she was in a nursing home. They have a lot of activities. She has reached the point where everything has to be pureed in order for her to eat. They are feeding her, and she’s eating very well.

We had visited several ASL facilities in the area and had found Oakmont at Gordon Park to be one of the most inviting atmospheres . The outdoor areas are very appealing with beautifully landscaped spaces to walk or visit with friends. Both the ASL and Memory Care Wings have similar spaces, sizing a bit smaller in the Memory Care. Most of the families we had visited had nothing like this to offer. Outside spaces are important . We also liked the size of the facility and the staff who seem very caring. So far we have been very pleased with the facility, most importantly mom seems to be happy here and beginning to feel like it's her home.

Oakmont at Gordon Park is a premier facility and has Assisted Living and Memory Care. I have a family member in the Memory Care area. The facility is less than a year old and the rooms are well appropriated for the residents. I have been impressed with the entire staff and the management group. Costs seem to be very competitive. Meals are nutritious and not the standard hamburger, hot dog or sandwich residents receive at other facilities. Finally, activities staff are very engaged and truly seem to care about the residents. My family and I are extremely happy with the care our family member receives. Check the facility out. ...it is the best I have seen in the Tri City area.

I visited this facility

Oakmont at Gordon Park was very pleasant and very nice. It's a little bit more expensive for me, but I did like it very much. It's just not in a convenient location for me. They have very nice rooms, and overall the place is very well-appointed and very comfortable. Lunch was very delicious, nice, and delightful. They served a very good soup and a delicious chicken salad sandwich. The whole lunch was quite a nice experience. The staff was very good about answering questions, and they gave me lots of information. They said there's a laundry, and they can do your clothes. They had a little kitchenette with a refrigerator and sink so that was a very nice extra amenity in the unit.

Oakmont at Gordon Park was very nice. They had studios, one-bedrooms, and two-bedrooms, that included a small refrigerator, plenty of room, a very nice bathroom, and a sitting area.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I’m satisfied with and really like Oakmont at Gordon Park. It’s a beautiful facility, the location is beautiful, the activities are great, and the staff is very caring. The food is very delicious. The room is beautiful and of course you bring your own furniture. They will let you put pictures on the wall and however you want to decorate it.
