    I am/was a resident of this facility

Quality of care there is lousy. Residents tend to stay to themselves as there is rarely nothing going on there. Coffee club in morning for an hour but has been reduced to half hour. They might get a cup of coffee and a cookie or they may not..doesn't seem to be enough for all as I have observed on more than one occasion. May have something around 2 in the afternoon but not always. Not enough CNAs and you generally cant find one when you need them, not because they are working with a resident but because they are congregated around back smoking cigerettes. This is an honest review because I was a resident there. People may go weeks without showers if they do not have family members coming in to check on them on a regular basis. Residents are not being properly cared for and the food is not good either. I would not leave a family member there to fend for themselves.

My mother was diagnosed with having Epilepsy back in march she was in out of drifferent Nursing Home Rehabs. Again in August she had another seizure she was in the hospital then sent to Golden Living for rehab. When they were told she has familial mediterranean fever which is an hereditary illness past down thru generations from parent to child etc. It's not an easy illness to treat it can cause other problems as well....The nurses there took good care of my mother showed respect, compassion, caring an love.... The Therapist there stayed on top of therapy with her they took time to work with her , not push her hard.. Which I liked. The CNA's there were very good to her... There were several that we became close with. These men an women became another family to us.. On drifferent days they had church, bingo, crafts, sitting outside , Parties there was always something going on there , it kept mom busy. There is an hair dresser whom is also the activity director .Energy in Golden Living very good. It didn't feel like some places she's been into. When people ask where my mother was I tell them at the best place. Golden Living. I would high recommend them

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My uncle has a very rare disease that most people don't want to care for. Golden Living Center took him in and he's been there for a couple of months now. They would take his Medicaid and care for him. They were good until our uncle got very sick about three weeks ago. He has Huntington's disease and has a really bad depression. And we found out that they weren't giving him one of the medicines that he actually needed. There are days when he hasn't had a shower. We actually went out there and had to shave him ourselves and change his bed. I know my uncle has a very difficult disease and it's hard to care for him. But on the other hand, if they didn't want to care for him he should have not been accepted in the facility. The housekeeping is not good. We went in one day and his room wasn't clean for a couple days. He's sharing a room with another man. Sometimes it's clean and then sometimes you go in and it looked like it hasn't been cleaned for days. So I wouldn't recommend them for anybody to put their family in there.
