"I toured Trinity View. Its location is relatively quiet. The people seem very happy. The staff seems excellent. The common areas seem very good."

"The cleanliness and their professionalism are few of the factors is why Heather Glen is my choice for my mother. Their Director is extremely informative. She introduces me to all the employees even those in-charged of the kitchen. It is a smaller community as compare from where she was and they are able to give more care and observe what she is doing on a daily basis. They manage her medicine and we know she is taking it properly. The food is excellent. The housekeeping is really good. Everybody is just in a cheerful mood. It is located where it has a good view of the mountains and in a peaceful setting. All the amenities are there and they do a lot of different things with the people like boat rides, bingo, cookouts and they keep them entertained. They keep them active as much as possible. The constantly watch and evaluate them and they inform me if there is anything out of the line and needs to be addressed with my mom. I am extremely happy where she's at and she seems to be more pleased also. "

"We chose to move my sister to Arbor Terrace of Asheville because of their friendliness. It was more of a home-type setting to me than just a business. So it's more comfortable. I just liked everything about it. It's inviting. They are very efficient, friendly, and helpful. They do daily activities. They have a salon, therapy, and things."

"Givens Estates was quite beautiful. It was high-end, but also expensive. It was like going to a resort. It was interesting to us that it puts itself forward as a not-for-profit, yet it was glamorous. The people seemed happy. We saw a lot of residents. It had everything I could think of and more. They had a room where you could have live entertainment with a spacious stage and just a lot more options. The apartments were lovely. We saw a two-bedroom and there wasn't anything about it that was negative. They were fairly new, so they had lots of light, tall ceilings, and stuff that appeals if you can pay for it. The facilities were all lovely. They had a workout room, a pottery room, and woodworking."

"Deerfield Episcopal Retirement Community is a life care center. You go in with independent living and then you can go to assisted living and then to nursing care. So once you're there, you don't have to move again and we like that about it and the five-star rating they have. We are also Episcopalian so many of our priests are on the board. Our bishop is on the board so I know they've never tossed anybody out when they run out of money, whereas other places have these long contracts. You're there for the rest of your life and they will take care of you. The apartment has a washer and dryer and a complete kitchen. Before you move in, you can have it painted with the colors that you like. They spend eight weeks personalizing it for you in terms of the colors, the flooring, the countertops, and whatnot. All the appliances come as part of the furnishings. Everybody there seems to be very satisfied. The staff was wonderful, very good, and very helpful. There's a flexible meal plan. You can have the main meal of the day or you can have six meals a week if you want to eat out and spill or you can have five meals. If you decide to go out of town for a week, you can suspend the meals. The food is excellent. They have guestrooms, so you can stay overnight for two or three nights or however long you want to during the week. We've eaten the meals there and enjoyed the amenities. During the weekends, they reserve both guest rooms for the relatives of residents."

"I don't do reviews often but realized this would have helped me when I was searching. My father was a memory care resident at the Landings of Mill River, he passed away in July. Prior to getting there he was a resident at a large national chain of assisted living facilities for about four years. I had no complaints at the previous place but when I got to the Landings of Mills River I saw another level of care. The staff was attentive, caring and on top of my father's needs. They are focused on not only his comfort and his physical health, but also his mental health by engaging him in daily activities, leading to a 'happier dad'. The physical therapist was spectacular, such a kind, patient man. The nurses were beyond good, always focused on the well being of those under their care. The price, compared to the national chain, was much better, in this case I paid less, my father got better care and I slept easier knowing I had found the right place for my dad. The building is brand new, the facilities are excellent. I recommend the Landings of Mills River. Pat K"

"Mountain View is an old building, but you feel like home when you walk through the door! I had a family member here and I wouldn’t have of placed them anywhere else. The staff at Advent Health Hospital,Henderson county DSS and several people in the community raved on the staff before she was placed their. I applaud Sydney and Crystal for running the facility so well. Thank you Mountain View! "

"CarePartners was so on top of everything. Every second of the day there is something going on somewhere, and there were lots of people involved. They were fabulous, and I would rate them at the highest rate imaginable. As soon as you walk in, they would greet you. They were very attentive to the people, their programs were very good, and I wish that California would come up with the same idea. They’re fantastic. I would highly recommend them. My mother loved it so much, she looked forward to going. Everybody was nice to them, and they would take them out twice a week on a bus to places like art museums, parks, and to the lakes. They would have art projects, they would have music, people coming in and playing instruments, and they would do singing and dancing. They have a hot breakfast and hot lunch, they would snack in between, and they had a beauty parlor if they wanted to use it. They just keep them busy; they would always have them helping out, and the people felt like they were important. It was an excellent facility, the residents are always happy, and they play all kinds of games like bingo. "

"My parents are in Fleshers Fairview Health Care. We go there every day. The size of the room is perfect. The area is beautiful. The staff is very friendly. They played bingo or something."

"I moved my mom into Cherry Springs about 2 months ago and it has been great so far. She was living at home with me and I started to feel I was doing her an injustice as I juggled my family and her care. Since moving in she has gotten involved in activities been more social and just seems overall happy. It is an older building but the staff is fantastic as you can tell they are truly caring and attentive. "

"Carolina Village had wonderful amenities. Their stuff was new. It was very very well done. The overall construction feel of the project felt very, very good. We've eaten there several times and the food was very good. The cleanliness was excellent. We thought it was a very well-kept facility. We looked at the villas mainly that were duplex or townhouse type. While small, they were nice. One of them we looked at was quite a bit older. Some of the others got newer as they increased their facility, but overall the floor plans were very nice. The salespeople we talked to were excellent. The facilities are great. They have wonderful maintenance people and if there's a minor problem, they repair it immediately."

"We looked at Lake Pointe Landing. They have nice little apartments with a porch, so you have a little bit of outdoor living. I've eaten there before, and their food is very good. The upkeep was excellent. They used to be open to the public for community ladies' luncheon week. They have very good chefs. It's all restaurant quality with white tablecloths. They have dining and an indoor pool. They have transportation to doctors, groceries, and things like that, which is one thing that we were looking for."

"A beautiful facility located on top of the mountain. The staff is very outgoing and caring. Under new management with positive changes. Ongoing renovations since February 2024. The variety of food is fantastic! Modified diets including vegetarian menu. Affordable room rates compared to other private pay communities."
