Mountain View is an old building, but you feel like home when you walk through the door! I had a family member here and I wouldn’t have of placed them anywhere else. The staff at Advent Health Hospital,Henderson county DSS and several people in the community raved on the staff before she was placed their. I applaud Sydney and Crystal for running the facility so well. Thank you Mountain View!

The place I had my dad in before was a memory care facility, but their staff was there for the pay check. It was Mountain View, and it was OK. There’s no activity, unless you count TV. There wasn’t any day-to-day activity, no interaction. Ninety percent of their residents were pretty low functioning and they seemed to like that. As a matter of fact, having my dad there, who is high functioning, was kind of a nuisance to them. It just wasn’t a good fit for him. It was a 27-bed facility and I think they had 12 residents, so that should have probably told me something; there was no waiting list. They were nice. I just witnessed a few things first hand that troubled me and that’s why immediately I started looking to place him somewhere else. Based on the other places that I’ve looked at, it was around average maintained. They’ve got a few issues now with the State because they failed in inspection on several different points, and I can say this only because I’m still having to work with these people trying to get my dad’s records for the VA and different things. It’s been two months and I’m still trying to get his records from the two months that he was there. They’re coming up with excuses as to why they can’t provide the VA and his current facility with his medical records during that time frame. And my dad was on Humera, but he didn’t get any shots even though we brought him the medicines. When I counted the medicines and they were never disclosed to me showing me the paperwork for why he was getting meds, so I was starting to have suspicions. They still use the paper binders, and there are no computers, very old school. It was a good fit for a lot of folks that were there; unfortunately for him it was not.
