"My mother has severe Alzheimers and has been residing at the Self Help home for the past 4 years.She entered with only mild dementia and living independently until she became more and more impaired. Her 85th birthday is in a few weeks , and although she doesnt appear to know who we are anymore. at least shes around to celebrate it. Self Help home has made us,her family, feel safe .My mom has had excellent care there all these years , and the administration and staff there have been very warm and nurturing throughout these very difficult years. Mom cant do anything for herself anymore , but is well-taken care of, and we know this excellent standard of care will continue as long as she is there. "

"The biggest selling point of GreenFields of Geneva for us was that it has a life plan, so my sister can stay there the rest of her life. She moved there a week ago, and she's in assisted living. Everyone there is very polite. The place is very clean, and the food smells wonderful. I'm very pleased. The staff is very helpful. They answer any questions that I have, and they seem to know what they're talking about. I haven't tasted the food, but it looks wonderful. It smells delicious, and everyone says it's very good. My sister is in quarantine right now because she came from another nursing home; she's not able to go down. They do bring her food up, and she's been very happy with it. Her room is clean and big enough. Her furniture fits well there, and she has a nice view outside. I've looked at several places and GreenFields is comparable or better than some of the other places that I looked at."

"Jennings Terrace was OK and had everything we needed at that time. The staff was very nice and very helpful. I observed how the nurse and the staff worked with the patients, and it seemed good. "

"I want to give a shout-out to all the great staff! Nurses- dani, he is great! Always gives meds on time. He is always nice and smiling. Makes me laugh and is so kind! He really cares about the residents! Diane, sweet and kind! Always helpful! Patty, works part time but when she's here she's nice and kind! Reemo, nice and always running around at night! CNA's - Maggie, so young but so good at what she does! So sweet and kind! Love her! Arturo, always making us smile and laugh! Good at what he does! Nancy- gets to work right away and works hard! Kitchen- Tashari- she is head cook and always asks us how things are and listens to our needs! Latrel- she always says hello and is so good and kind! Love her! Gwen- always goes above and beyond her duties! Dave the new cook is great! The food always tastes good when he cooks! Housekeeping - Shannon, such a kind and helpful person! Will always help with whatever he can! Goes above and beyond his duties! Activities- Chrissy, so nice and kind! Jennifer- so sweet and kind! Always smiling and nice! Well i thinl that's everyone. But all staff is great!!"

"The Pearl of Rolling Meadows is under construction as they're redoing it. The staff is pleasant. My mom moved into their memory care unit. The food is good. My mom's room is clean and homey. She has full-time, 24-hour nursing care, and she has a roommate which is good, so she'll have company. They have a gym, physical therapy, a band that comes in to play music, and memory games. They have a lot of activities. The layout of the place is good. They accept Medicaid which a lot of people need."

"My mom is at Rosewood Care Center of Inverness and this facility is really good. It's a very clean facility. The staff is very good, professional, and really very experienced. My mom likes their food. I like their location and how they take care of my mom. "

"My mother is in New Summit Rehabilitation and Healthcare. It's definitely been very good. They're very friendly people and they seem to be taking pretty good care of my mom. The building is very nice. The room is nice. They have small dining areas everywhere."

"My sister is at Alden Long Grove Rehab & HC Center. Their medical involvement is what I like the most, so nursing and physician assistants are all very good. However, their therapy is weak. My sister had been in rehab, but she is now on private pay because she ran out of Medicaid pay. For the most part, their staff are pleasant and punctual. They come right away; they respond quickly. That would be probably the most important thing. I haven't tried their food, but according to my sister, the food is adequate and better than some. There are not very many amenities there though. It's an older facility, but it is kept clean."

My mom will even tell me, she is so happy to be there, I have recommended two other families for rehab. They were happy with the services, their mother's received. "My mother went to the Moorings 3 times for rehab out of Hosp. first was such a relief as opposed to other scary cold facilities,seemed higher end all around,no complaints about anything.2nd visit,staff were more deceptive,offended by normal questions,standoffish,I'm not a hot shot causing waves.Constantly went through her room & moved & relocated her things.Some really head strong nurses aids.Became unpleasant.3rd tie breaker stay same as second,charm of the first stay was erased,placed on lower level in room with a very old resident who didn't move for 2 days & died before us.Residents family were put off by my mother being there at that time,no choice.maybe it's better now ? they say "at any given time it changes" not to generalize. Never going back,Physical therapy was above average & the redeeming factor here,the rest was like any other. "
