"My mother is in Cantata Adult Life Services (formerly British Home). Overall, we're satisfied with them. We had a bumpy start, but once I told them what I expected, they performed very well. She had a stroke, and they're one of the few places that do non-weight-bearing rehab. They're very compassionate. It's a very small facility which is nice, and they have a good staff-to-resident ratio. We've have several meals. My mom doesn't like the food, but my sister and I thought it was perfectly fine. They have tremendous and excellent rehab staff. "

"My mother has severe Alzheimers and has been residing at the Self Help home for the past 4 years.She entered with only mild dementia and living independently until she became more and more impaired. Her 85th birthday is in a few weeks , and although she doesnt appear to know who we are anymore. at least shes around to celebrate it. Self Help home has made us,her family, feel safe .My mom has had excellent care there all these years , and the administration and staff there have been very warm and nurturing throughout these very difficult years. Mom cant do anything for herself anymore , but is well-taken care of, and we know this excellent standard of care will continue as long as she is there. "

"Jennings Terrace was an older facility, but everything was very nice. They were remodeling one whole area and the dining room, so we didn't get to see that too much. They had to share a bathroom, but some of them could have their own bathroom. The tour guide was very nice."

"My mother has been a resident since 2010. In the past almost 7 years, I cannot complain. Her nurses on staff, have always informed me if their were any issues with my mom. My mom will even tell me, she is so happy to be there, I have recommended two other families for rehab. They were happy with the services, their mother's received. "My friend is in Lexington and it's nice. However, there are two ladies in one room, it's very crowded, and she's not getting much help walking. It's beautiful, it's clean, and it doesn't smell. The facilities are fine."

"I want to give a shout-out to all the great staff! Nurses- dani, he is great! Always gives meds on time. He is always nice and smiling. Makes me laugh and is so kind! He really cares about the residents! Diane, sweet and kind! Always helpful! Patty, works part time but when she's here she's nice and kind! Reemo, nice and always running around at night! CNA's - Maggie, so young but so good at what she does! So sweet and kind! Love her! Arturo, always making us smile and laugh! Good at what he does! Nancy- gets to work right away and works hard! Kitchen- Tashari- she is head cook and always asks us how things are and listens to our needs! Latrel- she always says hello and is so good and kind! Love her! Gwen- always goes above and beyond her duties! Dave the new cook is great! The food always tastes good when he cooks! Housekeeping - Shannon, such a kind and helpful person! Will always help with whatever he can! Goes above and beyond his duties! Activities- Chrissy, so nice and kind! Jennifer- so sweet and kind! Always smiling and nice! Well i thinl that's everyone. But all staff is great!!"

"I was very satisfied with the great care that was given to me at Inverness. The nurses and aides were fantastic. There are activities to partake in as well."

"I had my rehab at Alden about a month or two months ago. My experience there was very good. The room was OK. It was quiet. The food was good. The dining room had like 5 tables, and it was a bigger room. I was impressed with the nurses and on how helpful they were. They had a 4th of July party. Everybody was really nice. "

"Wauconda Healthcare and Rehab is an excellent nursing home, and they are wonderful there. The staff is fantastic and very polite. They help you out with everything and my mother is very happy. The rooms are very nice and very clean. They wash down the beds once a week, maybe even more. They're very clean people. The grounds are beautiful. You can sit down on the deck and the patios, and they have flowers around. It's very nice there."

"The Pearl of Rolling Meadows is under construction as they're redoing it. The staff is pleasant. My mom moved into their memory care unit. The food is good. My mom's room is clean and homey. She has full-time, 24-hour nursing care, and she has a roommate which is good, so she'll have company. They have a gym, physical therapy, a band that comes in to play music, and memory games. They have a lot of activities. The layout of the place is good. They accept Medicaid which a lot of people need."

"I can't say enough how wonderful the staff is at Alden Poplar Creek. Mom tells me everything that goes on and she only has great things to say. They know her and care about her like family do. I looked at a lot of places before deciding on Poplar Creek, many of them looked prettier, but there's no smell and you can tell that the residents there are happy the minute you walk in. The nurses keep us well informed and if there's ever a concern it's very easy to get in touch with the administrator or head nurse, even on the weekends. So glad we found this place. "

"This facility has its issues, such as my grandma being left to sit in a room with no tv or anything to do for days. All homes have issues, including this one. However, some of the nursing staff, particularly a man named Ching, are wonderful. He made certain to take great care of her because she couldn't do it herself and he probably helped prolong her life until now. They have other wonderful nurses too. The director of nursing was pretty cold and tactless when calling to tell me my grandmother died, but what can you expect from an administrator? Overall, I think this is a pretty good facility. I think I would recommend it to a friend. "

"My mother is in New Summit Rehabilitation and Healthcare. It's definitely been very good. They're very friendly people and they seem to be taking pretty good care of my mom. The building is very nice. The room is nice. They have small dining areas everywhere."
