This facility has its issues, such as my grandma being left to sit in a room with no tv or anything to do for days. All homes have issues, including this one. However, some of the nursing staff, particularly a man named Ching, are wonderful. He made certain to take great care of her because she couldn't do it herself and he probably helped prolong her life until now. They have other wonderful nurses too. The director of nursing was pretty cold and tactless when calling to tell me my grandmother died, but what can you expect from an administrator? Overall, I think this is a pretty good facility. I think I would recommend it to a friend.

Both short-term rehab and long term care are provided at the Arlington of Long Grove. The building is conveniently located in a safe area somewhat in between a residential neighborhood and a business district. It is nice that the parking lot is very large so that a space is always available. The facility provides enclosed, secure outdoor space for residents and visitors that is not huge but is adequate, comfortable, and well maintained. There are nice and spacious common areas in some parts of the facility, such as the lobby and the dining areas, but most space is designated and visiting primarily seems to occur in resident rooms. Rooms are of above average size for the most part, so visiting in the rooms is comfortable. Room size also allows residents to bring in small personal items to make things more home-like. Rooms have variable amounts of natural light depending on location. The food is average and residents typically do not rave about it but also do not overly complain. Staffing is good and most often sufficient to meet resident's needs, providing kind and compassionate care.

Well the place is friendly but the staff is a little slow at helping my mom get to the bathroom and the roommates are fine and the management is cool.
