"The Grand at Twin Lakes was very nice and clean. Almost every community room there was going to be remodeled and upgraded. They had a little bit of everything, so if you're interested in something, they have it. They offered two meals a day."

"I went to Solstice Senior Living at Palatine. Their location was great. Their apartments were perfect. Their amenities were great. The only thing is that the activities and stuff were on different floors. The staff was very friendly, enthusiastic, compassionate, and knowledgeable. The facility was great. They had a library, a crafts room, a movie room, a chapel, a salon, and a gym. It was a very nice facility."

"Brookdale Northbrook was lovely and I know many people there that are very happy to be there. The staff was welcoming and kind. They offer all kinds of activities. They have arts and crafts, a beautiful weight room, a nice garden (they have a gardening club), a nice card room, and a pool table. They made the place so that people could just sit in different areas and it was just a very homey feeling."

"I went to The Moorings of Arlington Heights, and the people were very nice and friendly. They have a lot of open areas where you can sit outside. It was the most beautiful place I saw with the flowers and the greenery. A lady showed me the rooms, and they have a beauty shop. They would drive me to a list of places if I wanted to go. The staff was very helpful. "

"My parents were residents at the Vi for many years. We were more than pleased with all aspects of their time living at the Vi. First class staff and facilities. I would highly recommend the Vi to anyone. "

"The Village at Victory Lakes was very clean, and everything you would need was there. The whole campus was very nice. It has restaurants, a couple of smaller bistros where you could buy sandwiches, a theater, a store, a library, and just about everything that you would need. You don't have to leave at all if you don't want to. The staff and residents were all very nice. There's a nurse on campus. We met the salespeople, we met a few residents, and in just about every place we went, everybody was very cordial to us. The apartment was small but laid out very nicely. Everything seemed very nice and easy to get to. There was a washer and dryer in each unit. Each apartment has two bedrooms and two baths, and a fully equipped kitchen. We dined in the restaurant and the food was very good."

"Discovery Village Des Plaines was excellent. The amenities were excellent. The facility was clean. The salespeople were very accurate and very informative. The location was interesting because it was in downtown Des Plaines. I like it. I thought the building was immaculate. The facility was what I was interested in. The residents were participating in their activities. It showed me that they are interested in the community. The staff seemed very knowledgeable and very encouraging to their residents."

"Belmont Village Glenview was one level with a large memory care facility. The room was clean but didn’t have the greatest of views because they put one wing right next to the other wing with the two wings looking at each other, so you look at walls. The people were nice. "

"I visited Generations at Oakton Arms. The least I liked was that it wasn't a one-level place, it has elevators but other than that, the amenities and everything they offer were great. They had maintenance out cleaning up when I was out there. It didn't feel like a nursing home. It feels like a little home. They had a workout room and a gathering room where people could go and practice their religion and the staff was pretty nice."

"What my friend likes is that the grounds are quite large, and also the fact that they have two libraries. I think, basically, it's the feeling of spaciousness that he likes about the place. It also seems very clean. The staff who assisted us was very informative. Overall, I would recommend to others."

"It was just as nice as the other ones. They were pet-friendly, which was nice. The drawback for me on this one was its location compared to where I live or where my mother was living. It was not as convenient as the one in Palatine or as the one in South Elgin, but for the amenities, it was a five star. It was clean, the staff was wonderful -- all of that."

"We've had a pretty good experience so far. My dad is there and it seems like they take care of the residents, but the worst thing is with this COVID now it's really hard to see him for a long time. Still, it's been a pretty good experience overall. If something happens, or something comes up, they always update and call you, or if I need to know something, I call them, and if they cannot answer the phone, they call me back in an hour or so. He's picky with his food but he said he likes it. It's an older place, but everything seems clean, updated, and organized. They play bingo too, take them to Walmart on a bus to buy stuff, and some tours that they offer sometimes, so the activities seem pretty good."

"The Merion was at the top of my list. I met the sales person. He was very friendly, very open, and answered all of my questions. He was not a hard sell at all. The apartments were a little disappointing, though. The older building was less expensive but you're also paying for a furnished apartment. The new section was very modern, which I really liked, but it was a little bit more expensive. For the meals, they surpassed the other community. The food was excellent. Also you can eat at any of one of their restaurants, which all serve something different. They have a piano or a bar lounge, which is open to the public. They allow them to come in and enjoy meals, drinks, and music. It is more open, so it's a big plus."

"The Woodlands at Canterfield was beautiful. The apartments were fine, clean, nice, and brand new. We met with several people and they were all very nice and professional. They had a bunch of games going. It's brand new so there were not that many people there yet. We saw people in the lunchroom and it looked very nice. The dining area was beautiful. I didn't eat there. My brother and my mom ate there and they said the food was excellent. We met with several different people and overall everybody was great, but some were better than others."
