The nicest thing is the location for my husband. It's downtown and in a nice town. It's very open, there's a big social area, and every apartment is different. They have a lot of choices. Everything has been real good so far. They're very helpful. The dining area is nice and laid out nicely, and the food is average. He plays bingo, and they have live entertainment.

We looked at Riverside Residence, and it's very nice. It's very clean and nice looking. The people were very friendly. The facilities were organized, and the rooms were of different sizes.

I'm pretty satisfied with Riverside Residence. I liked everything about it. I just looked at the studio, it's one room that's got everything in it. You've got your bedroom, living room, dining room, and kitchen. It's not very big, but for what I need, it's probably perfect. The area is nice. You're right downtown. You can walk everywhere. I'm even thinking I might not even need a vehicle. And you got the river. I teased them about a boat. But, it's a nice setup, and for the price, you can't beat it. Christine was awesome, she answered all the questions. I didn't even have many, because she pretty well answered everything as she was presenting everything. I've seen the menu. I'm a big breakfast person, and breakfast is oatmeal and cereal, which I'm eggs and bacon. I eat a big breakfast and then everything else is pretty small. And I lost 40 pounds doing it. But oatmeal is fine. If there's a negative, that would be the negative. It's clean, it's old, but it's in pretty good shape.

I toured Riverside Residence for my mother. It was old and needs to be updated. The price was reasonable, but they're very, very tiny. They have tiny rooms and it's a tiny facility. They had a calendar of activities. We toured the apartments and the kitchen. I asked one of the guests what they thought, and they told me it was very cliquish. I remember asking about going down at certain times and if they can eat at any table and they said the residents can be very cliquish and didn't let you just sit down at their table. I only met one of the staff and she was very nice. The place looked clean.

My mother did some volunteer work here several years ago, and she liked the atmosphere and the people, so this was her choice based on familiarity. They seem to genuinely care about the people there and are doing their best to help her. For the time being, she is happy, and that’s all that matters.
