"My stepmom has been in Bear Creek Nursing Center for a month now. So far, she likes it very much. It's a small facility, and that's what I liked about it. People are very friendly, and the place is extremely clean. The administration was very helpful and very patient with me. I would highly recommend it. She has a shared room, and it's pretty big. There's a window, but she wanted to be by the door, and she was given that choice. Everyone has a TV, a set of drawers, and a closet, and there's a bathroom that both residents would share. The two residents are separated by a curtain. They have music, games, and crafts, and she has done several of those things. Several times, they took her to the cafeteria area instead of eating in her room. And she was ecstatic about it because she met other residents and she was talking to them. She has complained about a couple of the things she got for food. They are not Medicaid pending like a lot of other places do, so I had to pay for the first month until her Medicaid gets approved. "

"Baldomero Lopez State Veterans is wonderful to my dad. He has been there for about 2 months. It’s beautiful. The food is surprisingly very good. The staff there is very caring. There have been a few little incidents -- most of them minor -- and they call you right away to keep you informed about things that have happened even if they don’t have great consequence. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about how they render their care there."

"My wife has been with Royal Oaks for about three weeks and she is basically in rehab. I'm satisfied with them, but I had to transfer my wife because they are not a lockdown facility. They told me they were but unfortunately they were not. The facility is old, but it's clean. The food is excellent and the staff are great. "

"My wife was in Solaris Bayonet Point for Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy. They have marvelous, well-trained, educated, and skilled staff members. It's clean, pleasant, and nicely decorated. I was very satisfied. They have a library, TV room, and different activities like Bingo. They have people supervising them when they are in those areas. They have a very high therapist to patient ratio, they have fairly new and nice equipment, and they're always changing and getting better ones. They have shared and private rooms. The food is very good, imaginative, and very well-presented."

"The rooms are two patients to a room and several are four patients to a room. My loved one actually likes being in the four patient room over being moved to a semi-private room. The facility is a bit on the older side, but quite functional Everything is clean and organized The staff is kind, caring, attentive, and gentle. My loved one is well cared for and the staff know her by name. The staff are up lifting and interact with each other with smiles on their faces. After observing the staff for several hours on a weekend, I found everyone to be thoughtful, kind, and respectful to the patients and that the day ended with the same smiles that the staff started out their day with. The admissions office is extremely knowledgeable and prompt in their responses. The business office is wonderful and made themselves available to answer all my family's questions. The activities director is very active with providing the patients with fun activities and also works to help each patient through their personal issues such as missing their family and how to set up video calls for the patient to have with their families in an attempt to help them to adjust to their new normal. The social service office is welcoming, supportive, caring, and willing to help in any way possible. The staff are prompt with checking the patient's vitals 24 hours a day. My loved one had a drop in their blood pressure during the night and the staff took prompt action to address the issue. Having been in multiple facilities across the country, I am most impressed by the attitude and caring hearts of the staff at Avante Inverness. That means everything to my family and I. "

"I was sent to Blue Heron after my stay in the hospital. I can't say enough good things about the staff in rehab and the medical team on the rehab floor. They are very compassionate. I have now transitioned into long term care and again can't say enough wonderful things about the team. The rooms are all private which is very nice along with it being cleaned on a daily basis, along with activities. Erik is my caseworker and has made this transition much easier always answered my questions and was extremely helpful. Definitely would recommend Blue Heron!"

"My mother was a patient there for 5.5 months, December through May. We could not have been more pleased with the care given her, the compassion & encouragement shown her, and the assistance provided to us, her family members. Lots of support and activities are made available for the patients and residents. Mom's only complaint was the food -- which is understandable, when an institution has so many dietary restrictions to attend to -- though she loved the meat loaf. :o) Kudos to the entire Arbor Trail team -- you are in a challenging and often unappreciated line of work! Thanks for everything."

"We looked at Osprey Point Nursing Center, and it’s a nice facility. They do quite well care-wise. It is also located in a nice area of the town. The rooms that we saw were comfortable to average rooms. Most of them are doubles, but they also have some singles. "

"I'm at Life Care Center of Citrus County. It's nice and clean, but the food is not good. They need to improve the taste. For the most part, the CNAs are excellent, but they don't have enough of them. The girls are overworked and they're tired. It took them forever to get here because there weren't that many of them. Maintenance is very good. It's beautiful around here. There are activities, but they're for 90-year-old people. People here can't remember anything. I'm still the same guy I always was."

"My father came to Heather Hill June 12th, 2015 from Lexington KY. He weighed 159 lbs when he arrived and is 102 years old. He had had little socialization in the last few years since mom died in Oct 2008. He was somewhat upset but he had to have 24 hr care and I felt pressured by all the health workers around him helping to care for him that he needed the care myself and family couldn't give. On October 2nd he had lost down to 131 1/2 lbs. The caring people at Heather Hill saw this and were giving him extra weight gaining treats as well as all the extra food I was bringing him. He as of December 5th weighs 161 and has a lot more social life than he had had in years. He sings and the people there sing along and dance with him. He's happy a lot of the time. The workers and administration strive to make the place "home" for a lot of folks with over 95 beds to offer the best of care. It doesn't feel like a sad place, it seems like a happy place. "

"My Mom was there before she died. Hospice came in and the facility nurses and hospice nurses worked well together. it was good they allow hospice in with no questions. "
