It took Mom some time to get use to the fact she would be living here permanently, but now she considers her caretakers part of the family. My sister and I do too. They take such good care of our Mom. My Mom has been a resident here for a few years. I was living out of state for awhile, but visited a few months out of the year. Now I reside a few blocks away and visit very often. Every time I'm there, the staff is very kind and caring. Mom stated how much she loved being there and considered it her home. I give great credit to her caretakers, Nurses Peggy C. and Elizabeth , her CNAs Donna M and Crystal P. for making her feel at home . In activities Sarah and Angela have become great friends with Mom and make her want to get out of her room to participate in some of the activities they offer. Housekeeping and Laundry are always on top of things. Mom's room is always clean and laundry is delivered and put away for her.

My mom has been in the Long Term Care section (200 Hall) for 3 years now and I must say I couldn't have chosen a better place for her! No one wants to put their mom in a nursing home, but the thing that makes any nursing home a success is the staff, and let me tell they are just amazing! Her nurses Peggy C. and Elizabeth are wonderful and I can go to them with any issue and they will address any concerns I have! Her main daytime CNA Donna M. is the most loving and kind hearted person I know, she is definitely in the right line of work, and she has become a part of our family. My mom just loves her and all the staff. I can't thank them all enough!

Rooms were clean and there were no funky odors. Staff was generally lovely. BUT… my Mom passed there July 4. Someone stole her wallet. Her purse was returned with her effects, but no wallet. It was there the last time I visited because Mom asked me to put some cash in it. Keep the cash and God bless. But steal a whole wallet from a bedridden, helpless, 90 year old dead woman? Karma……

They don’t care about the patients at all. They put on an act when you are visiting. They don’t give the patients their schedule baths and they leave them unkempt. They talk ugly to them or just ignore them altogether. They show no compassion to the patients. They don’t realize that the words they say to some of those patients may be the last words they hear so make them kind words.

Do not bring your loved one to this facility. My Mom was there for 3 weeks today. She was there for rehab as she had a big toe amputated, The food is horrible. The cleaniness is fair. Mom would put her light on for help it would take very long for them to answer her. Any time I would go there her water cup was empty. They never anser the phone in the evening, after 6 it takes forever to get in the building, I brought my Mom home for Thanksgiving. When I brought her back at 545, we waited outside for 15 minutes for them to let us in. Once inside my Mom needed her pain pill there was no nurse around to help her. I waited 45 minutes no one every was around. I spoke to my Mom that night she never got her pain pill until 10;30, this is uncalled for. The final straw came this past Saturday they called me to say they were sending my Mom to the hospital cause she was very confused and out of it..After running test hospital found my Mom to be very dehydrated and malnourished there is no excuse for this..Stay far away from this facility,

This facility has caring and professional personnel. The nurses are caring and knowledgeable. The administrative personnel are always helpful, friendly and professional. They were very responsive to the needs of the patient and family members. Thank you to Heather the caseworker for her dedication.

I have visited several friends at Consulate on many occasions. It is a cozy facility in a beautifully landscaped setting, and we loved to look at the birds they keep there. The staff I observed was extremely compassionate and caring. The facility is kept pretty clean and does NOT reek of urine when you walk down the corridor, which I have experienced at other facilities. One friend/patient did complain that the food was tasteless. I didn't try it myself, but hopefully they will improve that. My friend was grateful for the physical therapy offered there, and there are activities for the patients if they choose to participate.

I have a client that recently had to be admitted to rehab at the Consulate Health Care of Bayonet Point for approximately two week's time. His experience was certainly a positive one. His interaction with the doctors, nurses and staff in general were all positive. Moreover, I would to commend Heather M. (RN/Admin) personally for taking time to go "above and beyond" with regard to his care and accurate documentation of the same. In my opinion Heather M. takes pride in her work and the facilities at Consulate. In these times where "everyone" is too busy it is certainly refreshing to know that the staff at Consulate cared about my client and his well being. My client is on the way home from the facility and eagerly awaits seeing his little chihuahua and best friend.

My father was a patient for about 3 weeks when I finally pulled him out. There was dried feces on the inside of the toilet for 2 weeks. His room was NEVER cleaned the entire time. Food was disgusting. Rehab was a joke. His roommate screamed all night and kept my father awake every night. Place was filthy. You could smell cigarette smoke throughout the building. Meds were never given on time. DEPLORABLE conditions. I am surprised he didn't come away with staph, mersa or sepsis! Wouldn't put a dog in there!

I've been here at this facility for over four months. I have nothing but good things to say about this place! The staff here are very helpful, professional, and caring. The food is good and I've made many dear friends here as well. I am a veteran of the marines. I served at Kheshan in Vietnam. They have a support group here for Veterans. We get together monthly and have a social, go out to eat, and reminisce. I have encountered many health care professional's who know the true meaning of compassion. They help me gain my strength back through physical therapy and the restorative programs. I am for ever grateful to the many workers here who helped me get back on track and back home to my wife.

nurse Kevin was exceptional, other nurses were good. p.t. was ok. i was there for 4 days. took 4 days for p.t. to start. bathroom was not safe for a person in a wheelchair. food was beyond deplorable and inedible. did not get all my meds. i cannot safely walk, and staff let me sit in my own urine for three hours, on two occasions. if that happened to me, then it is happening to others...especially the ones who cannot speak for themselves. some things and people were ok, but the important things were, at best, horrible.

The other morning ( 11/3) I went to the ER because I had a lot of blood in my urine. After several expensive tests and 3 1/2 hrs later, on my discharge papers it said, and I quote, " You have been diagnosed with hematuria" ( For those who do not know, hematuria is a medical term for blood in the urine). Well DUH!!!!!! I already KNEW I had blood in my urine, I brought in a sample with me!!!!! Then I was instructed to see a urologist as soon as possible. Do they know how long it takes to get an appointment with a specialist? Especially as a new patient and on a Friday afternoon? I guess RMCBP didn't have a urologist on staff? Also while I am in an exam room in discomfort and worried about what is happening and waiting on tests, a hospital worker kept annoying me for my co-pay. Needless to say I left the hospital ER in the same condition as when I arrived................... And they will be charging my insurance $ thousands plus my $100 co-pay for THIS ??? ...................The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because I didn't have to wait long to be seen. They use to be a fairly good ER until the past 2 years or so. Unless you have a small scratch or something MINOR ........... steer clear from their ER if you can.

My mother has been at Consulate Health Care of Bayonet Point since mid-September. My father is there right now as well. I’m not happy with it, but we can’t afford to place her in a better place. It’s a horrible facility. It has roaches, and the food is horrible. I would never recommend it, but it’s where they have to do their rehab. She’s immobile and bedridden, and she also has dementia, so rather than put her in a place where she’ll have limited care, she has round the clock care. Some of the nursing staff is really wonderful. Some of the things that could be improved would be perhaps feeding the elderly people and the people in the rehab with better food. Nutritious food is good, but if it doesn’t taste good, and it’s not appealing, people aren’t going to eat it. They need to keep the place cleaner, and they need to have staff that’s not overworked. You shouldn’t have people working 17 to 18 hours a day because you have people there that need constant care that are not getting it.

Average response time when you press the Nurse button is 30 minutes;which is not good if you fell out of bed like my mother did. Dinner is served ice cold every night and sometimes an hour late because the kitchen staff all disappeared. The place is over crowded and severely understaffed. The curtains in my mother's room had reddish brown stains on them. It could use a fresh coat of paint and some new furniture.

My husband is at Consulate Health Care which is a rehab place. So far, we’re happy with them. I think that the nurses and their aides are doing very well with my husband. They are very helpful and good to him, and they treat me with a lot of respect. The food is not the best. I could almost walk there; I’m 80 years old, so it worked well for me to visit him twice a day. If I could afford it, it would be fine for him to stay there.

She's got round the clock care at Consulate Health Care of Bayonet Point. She was put back there from the hospital because she's complaining her legs gave out. It's clean, and they're pretty neat there. They took good care of her; she got everything she needs. But, she tells me that she has to wait for people to come and do things for her. I said she just has to be patient, and I know she isn't. I've seen her room and her apartment before. It got a bathroom and bed, TV, phone, and Internet cable. They gave her meals in there. I've been in the dining room. They get served there. It's pretty good. They have an exercise room, and they help her do exercises.
