"I toured Salishan Gracious Retirement Living. It was very, very good. We had food there, and that was excellent. The chef was nice. The place is clean, and they wanted to offer me a promotion, but I wasn't ready to do it yet. The rooms were very nice. They do a lot of activities, and they have a pool."

"I liked it, but when we got to the rooms, the bathrooms were not handicapped accessible because my dad is in a wheelchair. The staff was excellent. You name it, and they have it; they have pool, card games, and when we were there for the tour, in one common area, they were getting back massages. It was just beautiful. Some people there had dogs, and we saw dogs and the like. If their bathroom were handicapped accessible, that is where my father would have gone. I absolutely loved it there. "

"I was in Coral Oaks. It was very good. We had a lot of activities and they had a pool, which is a big asset. We could always get transportation wherever we wanted to go. It's good all the way around. My apartment was fine. There's plenty of room and it's very pleasant. The food was good. I had a dining room to eat in, so that made it a lot better and they had more variety. We had a lot more activities than where I am now. We had happy hour every week and they usually had the entertainment of some sort and good snacks and drinks. They had banana split happy hour once in a while and different things like that. The staff was very good."

"When we toured Tampa Gardens Senior Living, everything was nice. The facility was very well kept. But when we went to the dining area to look at it, there was a woman there who had her face planted into a plate of food, and everybody was just walking around her and not helping her or anything. The waitstaff there was walking around her, and I didn't like that part. The apartments were okay. They were nice. They had nice sitting areas outside. It looked like the inside was well organized. It was a very nice place."

"Stratford Court is five minutes from my daughter's house. I'm on the waiting list. I like everything about it. It is fantastic. It is like living in a big hotel with all the services you can want. They have everything in terms of activities. They have cards, and they have bus trips to the orchestra and to the casino. The main thing is that, the particular apartment that I want, I was able to see a furnished one there. It was just so great. It had a screened-in balcony. Also you would get two meals a day, and that's included. Everything is included in the rent, except your phone and your Internet. Stratford Court is beautiful inside and out. My daughter and I went for dinner. The menu was fantastic. They had three choices of main meal every night, but if you don't want any of the three meals featured, you can order from their "anytime menu." Also, Stratford Court offers a full buffet breakfast every day. They have a beauty shop in there, they have a laundromat if you don't have a washer/dryer in your apartment, and they also have a full library and a big conference room. They have a beautiful outdoor pool and a hot tub. The view was beautiful from both sides of the building. It felt very comfortable. The people were very nice. "

"It is a very big community. They have several floors. It is the best one I've visited. It's very clean and very well structured. The staff was very nice and seemed to be concerned about our situation. However, in the end, they couldn't help us because of my brother's criminal record in the past. The dining area was set up like a hotel. The private room was nice and roomy, and it had a bathroom. The residents all seemed happy and engaged in whatever activity they were doing."

"I did a tour of The Oaks of Clearwater. We liked the location and we liked that it's a pretty place. The people looked like they had a good time, they had a lot of things going on that we liked. The person who gave the tour was very nice, her name was Patty, and she's very helpful and gave a lot of information. We'll be getting their two-bedroom with a bath and a half. The rooms were very nice and they had been kept up, they weren't cramped, and we liked the size of the bedrooms. Their dining area was very clean. They had tours, they take you out to do things, they had a lot of games, music, and they had a place for when my kids come; there's a place we can visit. It looked like a nice place to go. They have some construction because they have those little villas that they've got to tear down and make a parking lot, which they need."

"My mother was in the Edwinola when it closed. She has returned and is enjoying it throughly. The staff is helpful and the food is great! Since her return she has not complained once of the food, this is HUGE in the assisted living arena. Her room is newly done over, no bugs and the hallways are very clean. The building is now maintained with care and pride. They now offer many more activities and have outings quite often. I'm so happy for her as she is happy too. Staff is always helpful and kind. Check it out I feel you'll be very pleased with all they have done. "

"Banyan Senior Apartments was a fairly new community when we visited it. The staff there was very nice. Regarding amenities, they did have everything there. We're really impressed with the swimming pool area and the patio area around the swimming pool. They also have a gym for their residents. We looked at their one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. The two-bedroom apartment was slightly larger than the one we have. It was also of comfortable size. "

"Journet Place was fairly new two-story building when we went to look at it. It was also a very clean facility. The staff was very nice. Their rooms were of comfortable space. They even have a small theater room inside the facility. Outside, the grounds were very nice. The pool area there was twice the size than the one we have here at another facility. They also have a little pond behind the building with a screened-in porch so residents can sit out and relax overlooking this little pond. It did have a nice effect. They also have large screened-in balconies and screened-in porches for their residents. "

"It has been a wonderful experience at Heritage Pines. The maintenance of the community was A+. We like the activities. We have tennis and picket ball. We have a craft room, a card room, and we have bingo going on. We also have a pool and water aerobics. I like the clubhouse, and I also like the camaraderie around with our neighbors. Overall, it's an excellent community to live in. "

"The Hacienda Village is for people who are 55 and older. You can either buy or rent the trailer or pre-fab home. The one that I am living in is very good. They have all kinds of things going on here like music, fun, and stuff like that. For every holiday or whatever it is, they have parties. Everybody cleans their own place. Management is fine; everything is OK. They do keep up the property and everything. "
