There are NO trips except to the grocery store every week and you need to plan the entire day around it as the taxi will show up maybe an hour after it was called then you get to go to Wallmart and shop there for 2 hours then wait for the taxi to take you back to Banyan....no thanks Activities sucked. They have a RESIDENT who bakes their birthday cakes and is in charge of cooking for any activity..NO thanks People smoke in their apts and the halls stink. No thanks. Lots of stuff is broken..no tv anywhere not in the gym or the movie room...this is supposed to be an ACTIVE senior building...it is NOT

I'm considering Banyan Senior Apartments. It is an independent living facility. They have one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. They do have some activities that you can join if you want to, e.g., they have bingo and they have trips. They also offer transportation to stores. They also have a pool as part of this facility.

Banyan Senior Apartments was a fairly new community when we visited it. The staff there was very nice. Regarding amenities, they did have everything there. We're really impressed with the swimming pool area and the patio area around the swimming pool. They also have a gym for their residents. We looked at their one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. The two-bedroom apartment was slightly larger than the one we have. It was also of comfortable size.

Banyan Senior Apartments is like a resort. It's a place for 55 and older seniors. I am able to live with my mom there because I'm her caregiver. It got all the amenities of a resort and it is close to our family. We're in a two bedroom one bath apartment with full amenities and it is very roomy. The price is only $699 and we only pay the electricity. We have washer/dryer hook up. We also have refrigerator, stove, oven, and a dishwasher. The facility has a movie theater, a library, a beauty salon, salt water swimming, and it's right on the main highway. It's near shopping malls and entertainment. It is also close to the beach where there's a lot of sun. The facility is just four years old so it's brand new.
